So freaking delicious! Came here after going to a bar nearby, perfect drunk munchie food. I got the Pernil platter, which comes with Pernil, beans, and spanish rice. The food was cooked with love and the taste proves it. My friend had the Chuletas Fritas(Fried Pork Chops) and he said they were equally as good, a little dry but tasty. Fast, friendly service on top of their fresh, hot, and succulent food makes this place one of my local favorites. The prices are excellent, they fill you up without breaking the bank. Whenever I go out nearby, I can’t resist grabbing a platter! I love this place and often daydream about it haha

Perfect place for breakfast on a roll, coffee, and if you’re feeling adventurous you have to taste their oatmeal served in a cup(taste like breakfast horchata!)

The food is fantastic, the service is excellent. Authentic Dominican cooking at it’s best. My wife and I eat there often, and the food is always on point. They will also make specialty meals when ordered, the portions are overwhelmingly; you can actually share a meal with someone and be stuffed. I recommend the breaded fish as well as their avocado salad. We’ve dined here for several years and the food has always been consistent. Great place to get a cheap meal.

Waiting for my food in the warm interior of Sazon Nunez was a pleasant respite from the bitter cold of an unforgiving New York winter. Unfortunately, the steam from the buffet table covers every surface in condensation, and seeing mold growth on the ceiling near the entrance can be a bit off-putting. If you’re not some hygiene-ninny and just want to get your Latin cuisine on, then just try not to look up(out of sight, out of mind, right?). Hopefully this is less of an issue in the warmer months. You choose a main dish first– prices range from $ 5 – 9 and comes with rice and beans. Sides are extra. But trust me, it’s plenty of food already. If you’re polite and want something in particular that’s not on the table, they may be able to custom make a request for you. My friend wanted some obscure plantain dish and the staff were gracious enough to go to the back and make it for her, and charged the same price range. Portions are generous and it tastes like some good, satisfying comfort food. Card minimum is $ 10, and be prepared to pay a little extra if you choose the plastic option(cash is still king). I love Sazon Nunez for what it is(don’t be expecting some hipster haute cuisine bouge), and its proximity to the subway makes it a great option to swing by to grab some takeout on your way home.

This is some bomb ass Spanish food if you’re basic. It’s what I expect of un-hipsterized bushwick. It’s cheap($ 6 – 8) for quite a bit of food. This is where you go because you’re lazy to cook and want to grab food after you get out of the subway on your way to your apartment. You don’t want to sit and eat here as it feels more like a deli than an actual restaurant. It’s buffet style so you can pick from a wide array of rice, beans, meats, and sides. I’ve tried the chicken and beef stews and the yellow rice thus far. They are going to give you way more rice than is humanly possible to eat. Also you might want to bring cash and leave your plastic at home.

Love this place! The food is awesome, the servings are generous and usually under $ 10, the girls behind the counter are friendly and did I mention the food is amazing? They have a variety of selection to choose from from rice and beans, chicken, pork, fish and even soup. It’s also near the train station which is pretty neat.

Yes the food may be good but the staff is super rude… starting with the guy who’s doing the cooking(Central American decent). He must not remember that the customer comes first and that the customer is paying … «Get off your high horse». They never have red onions and if you ask for extra onions forget about it … That’s like asking him to travel to west bubble fck and and hop over fences and borders to bring the onions back to me. Seriously guy? Where is your customer service ??? He has no sense of it. I’m hoping he’s not the owner. Also it’s like they be guessing the prices. Um should I charge 5.00 $ or 4:50 $ what do you think? Like really !? The price depends on what you think it should be… horrible service people !!

The food seemed old, like its been reheated a few times. They also have no idea how to serve correct portions of food, I ordered rice and roasted chicken she filled everything up with rice and literally gave me a little drumstick usually places give u the drumstick attached to more chiken. If I wanted to eat a huge plate of rice only I woulve ordered it I thought it was ridiculous these ppl have no idea about proper portions ! I will never go back here again and wouldn’t advice anyone one to go ither unless your in the mood of just eating old rice!

Mmmmm, helloooo yummy delicious Hispanic food in a restaurant that looks like a grocery store. Found this little gem while starving on night shift. I didn’t really know what to expect after trying out«Inca Chicken» — which I did not really enjoy despite all of the positive reviews. You walk in and its just a buffet style and you tell the ladies what you would like. The one thing I didn’t like was that the small looks REALLY small and the medium is pretty big… decisions decisions… Anywho I choose the medium and ended up sharing some with a friend, I got the yellow rice, fried plantains and beef stew. The only time I prefer beef or chicken is when I’m at a hispanic restaurant, because beef stew is the definition of deliciousness. It was PERFECTLY seasoned, sooo tender and would literally melt in my mouth. My friend got the chicken soup, yellow rice and some chicken variation(I don’t recall the name) — which she gave a 10⁄10 or a 5⁄5 ;) They have a small seating area, but like most places in Bushwick you’ll be better off taking it to go. If you’re in the area, give it a try!

This place looks like a diner from the outside. They serve orgasmic Dominican food. Their rice, beans, and pork for $ 6 is so flavorful and comforting to the senses. Huuge portions too. After a long day, take out from this place definitely hits the spot. The server was super friendly as well!
