Was suprised when I saw this here. but they are doing well. Love the bento boxes, I wish they had salmon teriyaki as well as shumai.

Only spot like this in the area so in thankful. Of course the sushi isn’t really great, I’d be weary about Eating the raw maki rolls from them but other than that this place is really good. They make standard teriyaki chicken at a good price. I like that get include a cup of extra teriyaki sauce with your food. I got the bento box and also received salad dressing and spicy mayo free of charge. Wait was pretty long for how empty it was at the time so I suggest you call ahead if you go in the middle of the day. They food was good, I’ll be back. Btw they have a special going on until February. Bento boxes are a dollar cheaper and so is the chicken teriyaki.

I went here to get dinner with my dad, since I like Japanese food, and I got to say it’s a pretty good place. I got a chicken Bento and I finished it in no time. This is also the first time I ate dumplings. They made the rice just how I like it. I definitely recommend this place to people who have a craving for Japanese food.

I like the place food has been good already try everything in the menu. My call– in are on point staff has been good and cool with me. I think the negative comments in them are alil too much. Neg people should just make their own Japanese food at home(just one mans opinion) to the company keep up the good work

Sushi rolls were horrible. Salmon was warm an Mushy. Shrim tempura was soggy and the batter was nasty. Waist of $ 6 each. service was horrible, no communication and the staff talk all day and use there phones. ShopRite Sushi rolls are much better. Smh

I don’t know what to think about this place. It was fine the first time. But the second I went there, there wasn’t a clean table in the entire place. Every single table was sticky with soda cup rings. It was disgusting. The beef and rice were good and the chicken and rice were good, but the fake wasabi didn’t even try to hide the fact that was fake. It felt like gum. It was hard and dark. The chicken egg roll was all mush inside with no chicken. The put a salad in a closed container with hot food and you get a steamed, hot salad and it’s inedible. All you see is soggy steamed warm lettuce. The soda station was filthy and it’s not like the place was particularly busy where someone couldn’t wipe the place down with a wet towel. Also, they only have a few dishes that can be made to order. There should be NOWAIT.

The new Japanese around the way spot. It’s no Benihana’s or hibachi spot but it does it’s justice. Usually located in shopping malls, Sarku has a nice selection of Japanese food including sushi. I have yet to try to sushi or California rolls but intend too very soon. So far have only tried their chicken teriyaki bowl which was very good. The one thing that I feel Sarku can use to improve somewhat is an additional register or two to improve line service because it tends to get fairly crowded here during peak lunch hours and also early dinner hours. But you do have the option to call to pre-order to pick up your food but if you are going here off a whim be prepared to stand on line for quite a few minutes as at times the waiters behind the register are taking orders on line as well as on the phone at times.

Lawd ah mercy! This place needs to stay in the mall. They messed up everything. I called the place at 6:45pm i get there at 7:30pm &* its not ready. I still had to wait in line even thou i was told i didn’t have to. Oh my goodness i never seen a cashier who rolled her neck soo much. Surprisingly it didnt fall off. Gave me all kinds of attitude. Sorry i had to let her have it. I love the food but not enough to come back again

The one star is for my California Rolls. RIP! I was nauseous after the first bite of chicken. Hot sauce didn’t do anything to change the taste of the food. The miso soup was tasty but I’ve had better. Thanks for trying to upgrade Canarsie with new choices. The wait was 45 minutes. Yes, please call ahead. Id only halfheartedly return for the rolls. Preach! The restaurant is large and the seats weren’t all taken but the wait for take-out is ridic!

This is an excellent addition to the neighborhood. Food is excellent. The establishment is clean and the service is quick. The food is cooked to order but its worth it!!!

Came here for the first time and ordered a salmon avocado roll and the chicken bento box. The food is really good especially if you’re looking for something light to eat.
