Service is excellent. I love Jenny. She makes me feel so welcomed when I come to eat here alone. I love their curry, yaki soba, and appetizers. You can always grab a seat during their business hours. They always present their food very well. Love the orange for desert.

This place was amazing! I absolutely love Montague street and all the ambiance of it all. The restaurant is small and cozy. The service was great. I ordered the volcano and some roll. Both very delicious, fresh and filling. I would absolutely come here again. They have a really extensive menu to choose from of not just sushi. I personally would just come back here for the sushi. I thought it was great!

So happy to have found this place on our walk around Brooklyn heights. Food was good priced and SOFRESH. The summer roll was particularly good and the sushi was great. I heard that there’s a wonderful back patio looking forward to sitting there next time!

4 stars for the sushi! I ordered a few rolls for delivery and they were really delicious. Very interesting rolls and for a great price. The White Snow Roll and Brooklyn Roll were my favorite. The reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is for the chicken pad thai. The dish didn’t taste anything like the traditional pad thai that I am used to. There were slices of somewhat slimey chicken, a few slices on green onion, minimal egg, and a little pile of peanuts. The flavor was just off, very off! If you are looking for great sushi(which you probably are if you are here) then go for it!

Great little neighborhood place for Asian food. The food is very good. The staff is super attentive in a very pleasant non-intrusive way. We had the crispy duck salad– very fresh and crispy. The pad Thai with shrimp had a bit of a kick to it. It was yummy but a bit spicy which some people may not be prepared for. We have been here a couple of times with the Groupon deal(including this time) and plan to come back again. They also give you some refreshing slices of orange after dinner. It is such a nice touch and shows they care.

I’ve been here twice and both meals have been good. I would characterize this restaurant as a solid go-to neighborhood spot. For those of you trying to save some money, take advantage of the great deal they offer on Groupon. What I like about Saketumi is that the food is good, the service is excellent and the place feels comfortable. On our second time there, we had the crispy duck salad, the rainbow roll and pad thai. All three dishes were good. Our waitress was super attentive and, as an example, she refilled our hot tea four or five times during the meal. The food was served pretty quickly.

Great customer service & the food is great. The lunch specials are a good deal considering the portion provided for the bento boxes. Love the miso soup because it’s not too salty yet tasteful.

I took my family here for dinner one night and everyone liked it so much that we came back again just yesterday for my sister’s birthday, who is a big fun of their sushi. I like their stir-friend udon and soba with beef and shrimp a lot as well. We will be coming back since it’s not too far away and we are always able to get seats for the 7 of us.

Its a casual place with blue lighting but it has great food and great service. The two waitresses seem to know most of the neighborhood customers already and even have a respectful yet friendly tone when taking down phone orders. Its more of a Pan-Asian place than it is for sushi but they make great dishes and they come out fast but still with quality. You never feel ignored and you don’t have to break the bank to get full. Definitely a place I keep in my back pocket.

A nice place for sushi in Brooklyn Heights. Very attentive service(they even give you warm hand wipes when you walk in) and the presentation of the food is impressive. I ordered the Monkey Roll special which was definitely picture worthy. It’s also nice that they bring out a plate of fruit at the end of the meal.

When I need a great lunch this is where I order from. Their lunch specials are amazing, especially the bento box-it’s a great deal! Their prices are right and it’s a filling meal. You would think that because they serve a variety of asian foods that they might not taste good, but everything I’ve had here has been good. I would highly recommend the teriyaki bento box for lunch, comes with shumai, two pieces of california roll, a salad and a soup. The teriyaki itself comes with great portion of vegetables too. Also, I can never finish the rice. Where else can you get all this for 8.50?!

First of all the service was outstanding. We been sitting outside in the backyard on a hot day and they came by several times to ensure that we are feeling good. They brought is cold tissues and iced water was there in no time. The food was even better. I hade the dinner bento box for just 18 $. Big portion and you get as well a miso soup and a salad. My friend had the sesame sea wheat salad and the miso tuna. Everything was just delicious.

As an update to my recent previous review, they CAN make the curries with soft tofu(instead of fried), and I love it! Makes me feel so much better about what I’m putting into my body. I have also had the shiitake roll, and shiitakes are one of my favorite mushrooms, so it makes my taste buds and tummy very happy to have this as well. I doubt there’s much else on the menu that I can safely eat(aside from a couple of the other vegetable-only rolls), but I love both the red and yellow curries so much that I’m totally content on ordering one of those each time I go. Also, they provide some complimentary fresh fruit at the end of the meal. It has usually been cut up oranges, but they gave us watermelon slices on the most recent visit, which was nice!

It’s all about the sashimi. Again, Brooklyn did not disappoint. So far, this area has pretty good Japanese restaurants. I’ve been to three of them and they are all excellent. The highlight of the meal was the sashimi. It was all fresh and delicious. The seafood salad was pretty good. It was made with a perfect hint of mayonnaise.

I tried to order a Bento box as I did before on Seamless. They do not indicate a time for when the lunch special is over on Seamless and on their website. I don’t know who I spoke with but I told her I was online at 3:25 trying to purchase the Bento box as I have purchased the Bento box from them before. She explained to me there is nothing she can do «If it won’t let you order online then it’s over» are her exact words. I explained to her that their own website does not give a time for when the lunch special is over, it could have been 3pm or 3:30pm. There is no indication. All she said was that«there is nothing I can do». I’m sure she could have done something. This would have been my second time ordering from them. Hopefully, she actually speaks to her manager to possibly put a start-end time for the lunch special. Smh. food is good, but in terms of the professional service, it wasn’t pleasant. Some lunch specials go until 3, 3:30 or 4pm. There were no indications of the lunch special time. But she tries to get me to purchase a Bento for $ 18. No, thanks Ms.

I love the transformation of this restaurant from a «Pan Asian fusion» to a straight forward Japanese sushi bar restaurant. We came here on a weekday for the lunch special. It was advertised that the back patio is open for diners. We went straight to the back patio which was well put together with summer flowers and plants that compliment the restaurant’s motif. The tuna don that I selected tasted good and the fish was fresh. It was adorned with wooden boat and sake jar. It was also served with miso soup and vegetables salad with ginger dressing which is standard in any Japanese restaurant. The staff are attentive yet unobtrusive. I was given a nibble and cold bottle of Kirin light as soon I got seated. I will definitely comeback here in the future. My only qualm is the unnecessary over adornment on my sushi plate.
