Horrible customer service!!! I’ve always loved Popeye’s, especially being from the south. They messed up my order, even after I repeated it over a few time and ask the cashier if she heard my just to verify. When I finally got my food, I still verify if was correct and the manager told me that I didn’t pay for it. I showed her my receipt and I still ended up waiting on chicken. When it finally came up, the manager we back behind the serving bar to pack it. I have no idea what she did to my food while she was back there, but I refuse to eat here again. When I ask for sauces and napkins, plates, etc. I was given an attitude as if what I was asking for was a problem. Take my advice and go to a different Popeye’s.

This business disrespects the neighborhood and leaves their trash all over the sidewalk. They don’t dispose of it properly and the bags open, leak breading and nasty food trash all over the place. I bet the food preparation areas are just as gross. No thanks.

5-star dining at it’s best. I eat Popeye’s 2 – 3 year and love it. But I know it’s not great for the arteries. So when I got the chance and saw this location was convenient as I have ate at quite a few in the area over the years. Yeah, I am in. I don’t know what’s going on with all the reviews prior to I, but I fount no issues with this Popeye’s location at all. I even fount the staff to be awesome and friendly. The only thing is that the tables should be wiped after every patrons dines but I won’t hold them to it. After all, it is a fast food establishment. Other than that: pretty clean except for crumbs on table. You wipe it down yourself. No restroom. The chicken was crunchy, soft and decent in meat: breast piece. Add mash potatoes which I normally love because of the gravies flavor but this circumstance lacked flavor. What are you doing Popeye’s? Put the bacon or fat back in the gravy! And a free crisp biscuit, yeah! My fellow diners were all of decent and respectable patrons this night. Seating is like half a dozen and decent. Lightly is bright and décor doesn’t seem faded. Good place for a quick bite of delicious fried chicken.

this place had slow service, watery mashed potatoes and gravy and the shrimps were over cooked. they have 3booths and two tables to sit and eat. all if them were dirty …

I found thick black human hairs all over the chicken. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

I had chicken strips here last week and it made my stomach hurt. I only like the biscuits. GOKFC!

I love me some fried chicken, and Popeye’s is by far the best fast food fried chicken. It’s all about the seasoned batter. Their sides(biscuits, mac & cheese, beans & rice) are pretty good too, especially for a FF chain. Sometimes I would prefer to get the chicken tenders because I love their spicy honey mustard, but this location is frequently out of honey mustard. Once I tried the popcorn shrimp and was so hoping they would be good but the shrimp were so tiny it was basically just little balls of friedness. Now I just stick to fried chicken. Popeye’s is one of the only decent«restaurant» options in the hood and I have to walk by it almost every day, so it’s awfully tempting to eat a lot of fried chicken. I have to restrain myself. It always smells so good. They’re always crowded but the staff is friendly, if a little slow. I do wish they sold chicken by the piece on the menu. My bf and I wanted a whole box of all drumsticks and the manager had to come out and make up a price($ 21 for 12 pieces, which seemed high but we just wanted it). At least they did it for us, but it would be cool if Popeye’s had more deals like KFC. But Popeye’s is so much better, it’s worth missing out on a $ 12 bucket of chicken.

I normally don’t even like Popeyes and I haven’t eaten fried anything, let alone chicken, in about three years. For some reason Friday night I felt the urge to stop by here on the way from the subway for a side of Red Beans & Rice. I have always really liked their RB&R but have never made a point to get it until now. I am happy to say I was not disappointed. In fact, I not only got their RB&R, I also ordered the chicken wrap and it was really tasty. Tonight I had a repeat of RB&R and the wrap. I do wish they delivered because I actually just wanted to get something deliverable but wanted nothing that was available in the area; therefore ended up walking up the street to grab something here. I noticed in ordering my food this time that the wraps are made on the spot, which is so much better than the chicken that’s just been sitting out there for who knows how long. That might have aided to the fact that it is so good. Tonight I was disappointed to find out when you order a regular size of RB&R you actually only get rice and a spoonful of red beans– not cool. So if you’re going to order that only order it in a large or otherwise just get rice because that’s all you’re going to get with the other size. Now granted this isn’t a destination food location, but it’s at least a viable option.
