This place seems to have a new name, so that should be updated. Food was really good. Menu is diverse. You can tell a lot from a Haitian restaurant by the way they make their banan peze. This place had really good banan peze! Diri blan ak sos poi noir was also very good. Oxtail was a little too chewy, but it was ok because I’m not a big meat eater. Would like to try their weekend menu. Def visiting the next time I’m in Ny.

Under new management and recently renovated. Food is a little pricey but worth it. Get 12 Pâté for just 10 bucks. The chicken in sauce is amazing and tender and very well seasoned. Great flavorful rice but long wait lines.

As a an American born Haitian it’s import to embrace my culture Esp the cuisines I grew up with. Living in Buffalo had made me lose touch with that aspect. My trips back to Brooklyn and visiting this restaurant brings me back to those times eating Haitians meals I grew up with. From Haitian patties to beans n rice n legume. To red snapper and plantains. Mouth is watering just the meal thought of eating home cooked meals here. I encourage you to not only try the Haitian cruises but embrace the culture. Making a trip here is a good first step!

I gave four stars because the food is varied and delicious. It didn’t get five stars because of the décor – that could use a bit of improvement. This is not the place to sit and eat. It’s better for takeout. But the food is fresh, well-seasoned, and there is a lot of variety, as are the baked good. I had the lambi(conch), griot(seasoned pork), and legume(meat & vegetable stew) with rice and beans, and fried plantain. It was mouthwaterly good. I also picked up some pates(meat patties) which were excellent.

Delicious Haitian food at an affordable price. Bonus points for having patties, baked goods, and grenadia(passion fruit juice). I love my culture, especially the food. There are always customers who linger around for a while to discuss current events, politics, and sports. Limited tables which seat 2 – 3 people are available. It’s more of a takeout restaurant and they prepare party platters. Bön appetit!

Where in Brooklyn can a family of 4(2 adults 2 children) eat decent food for less than $ 15… down by Church & Nostrand. Of noting… if you can’t get by in Kreyol(Haitian) you might have to just point at what you want:) I’m a really big fan of this mom & pop shop’s tassot… everything is decent. Either get take-out or bring your own paper plates. You will get served in a foam carry-out container. The portions are very ample… but they will not give /will not /do not have paper plates, so if you are sharing… be prepared.
