I really enjoy their doubles and chicken roti! I also love that the truck comes to my neighborhood and the women are always so friendly.

I might give this place a higher grade if not for the deplorable condition of the bathroom. I’ve been here 2 or 3 times over a year or so period and each time I’ve used the facilities, I almost which I hadn’t. Overall the cleanliness and freshness of the establishment have come into question in my mind, but I digress. I come here for roti, potato and channa or curry chicken, to be specific. I take it to go and usually eat it en route elsewhere on a bus or train. While not the best I’ve ever had, it gets the job done. It’s becoming increasingly hard to get roti, even in Flatbush, as gentrification continues to rear its ugly head. I would like to try the doubles and aloo pies, which are also favorites of mine. Note to management: pleas for God sake, update and clean the bathroom, and rip out the grungy carpeting on the floor of this place.

Although I am a huge supporter of small businesses and family shops, Do NOT eat here. I found pieces of metal in my roti, I don’t know whether the metal was nail heads or buttons. Very unsanitary.

mediocre roti shop very old tacky looking place. only one person working there I don’t know how that can even be possible on a Saturday. got the curry goat roti and the curry shrimp roti. now i know curry goat has bones but there was an excessive amount of bones in the roti. Also the roti was massive but since it lacked flavor it was a task to eat. I would suggest just going to ali roti shop. much better

shrimp Roti is tasty but they give very little shrimp. their poori has just the right textures with bits of cilantro. I like mine with their tamarind sauce. their selection of mango, tamarind, and cilantro sauce, is the best I have tasted yet. it’s always very loud in there Becuse they blast Caribbean music, so it’s not a place to hold a conversation with another person. it’s more of a garb and go, although there is an option to sit on their uncomfortable chairs… and if u don’t mind not being able to hear yourself think…

Store is good place, only thing I’ve tried is the doubles & the roti(chicken & boneless chicken) other than those I can’t speak for anything else. I’ve lived next to this place for years and this has always been my go to place for a quick meal, food is prepared quickly and people are nice, one time they accidentally put pepper on my roti & I went back and even tho they had none of what I had ordered(bone less chicken), because I returned hours later, they were able to give me a regular roti. Price is reasonable despite the price was raised by 50¢ recently for the roti.

Great food! Very good service. Roti, doubles & assorted baked goods are all great. I love this place for those reasons alone. Now I would love to give them that last star but I can’t. There is an option to sit and dine in, however I’ve been coming here for many years and the décor has never changed. I mean, NEVER. Does it ruin the experience? No, I can’t say that it does because you come to this place because you’re hungry and the food is very good and well priced but it may be time for a little updating. It should say a lot that even though the décor needs to be changed I’ve never stopped coming here. This is the place to be!

Love the bake and salt fish and pholourie. I would give this place 5 stars if it didn’t randomly close. Had to find other roti shops at 12:15pm on a week day because they were not open.

The roti is very good. The décor is not appealing at all but the curry and roti make up for it. The service is also good. The folks there are courteous.

The roti this time around tasted a whole lot better because it had no peppers in it the doubles was good but nothing special at least not like anything I have tasted in Trinidad before but you know still I am truly finding it hard to give this place anything other than a five despite it’s décor/bathroom and lack of cool air inside etc… might try something from the dinner next time as it does look very appealing :)

Good doubles, good roti. Good currants rolls, everything is pretty good here. They’ve been at this location for a while, and I always see their truck parked but now I know why I never see it around the way because ITSDOWNONPINESTREETINFIDI where’s it probably making $$$$. Ok, well less is more, I didn’t say much about the food because it’s simply good, once you’re channa is on point everything else is usually good.

Can be a hit or miss but usually a hit for me. A miss would be when ordering curry shrimp and there’s only 4 in there. Anyway, hits is because they know what they’re cooking back there. Love the doubles. Buss up shot is delicious. Kurma is good when it’s fresh, not good when it’s stale and hard as a rock. Better than Ali’s in my opinion.

I got my fix! I got the chicken roti that I was craving for since forever. This roti was so good, and refreshing to eat. I think i’ll eat from them whenever I’m in that area. Next time I’ll try the shrimp roti.

My cousin-in-law is Trinidadian and she took us to a great spot in FL. I had been craving good Trini food for a long time and was pleasantly surprised when I came upon this restaurant. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy but the food is DELICIOUS! First trip, had a doubles with tamarind and pepper sauce and an aloo pie. The bara was nice and soft and complimented the chick peas well. The pepper sauce made it nice and spicy and the tamarind sweet. Aloo pie had a crispy outside but soft, creamy inside. They are very filling so you don’t need to order much. Second trip, had the oxtail roti with extra pepper sauce. It was flavorful with a nice kick and the oxtail was tender. The potatos were nicely spiced as well and it all melded into a delicious package. This was just as good, if not better, as the spot in FL. Will DEFINITELY be returning, YUM!

I’ve had doubles all over this town, from places like A&A, Atma’s(née Annie’s), Singh’s, Ali’s, etc. Unfortunately, the doubles at Trinidad roti Shop are probably the most mediocre ones I’ve had. The bara(fried bread) wasn’t so fresh, the chickpea curry was a bit on the sweet side and not very warm, the tamarind not so tangy. But the peppa sauce was a-ok. A doubles is like pizza or sex — even when it’s bad, it’s still alright. The steam table offerings looked tired. At least they had on some reggae and some dudes drinking Red Stripe. And a nice mural outside.

Ive been eating at this spot for years. Its a little crude and homespun, but the taste makes it all worth it. When I moved out of the area and went back after being away for a couple of years, somebody at the place recognized my children and gave me some special items that my kids used to go in an order. The food is fresh, hot and affordable. Doubles, aloo pies and roti are family favorites. Why not 5 stars? There have been a few occasions when I was not too impressed by the sanitation in the place. One tolerable frustration is that sometimes things run out and a few times I have made the trek to discover the shop unexpectedly closed. Oh well, slow down and go in a give it a try, you wont regret it.

I knew it was a good sign when I arrived at opening and the guy behind the counter had 40 of these ready and still made me a new one. The morning rush(Saturday) was something I’ve rarely seen. The goat roti was the best I’ve ever had, and more than ample for two people. Since there’s no easy way to share them, we instead opted to eat like pigs. Kind of disappointed, however, that there was no good ginger beer to go with. Just the sugared bodega stuff.
