This here falafel goes hard. It’s like 4 bucks and works before I get on the train. Today when I was walking from the train to work I received a summons for j walking! Can you believe that?! What is this world coming to. Now I have to go to court in Manhattan on May first. Oops lol

Really good fresh food. I had the Shawarma plate and it was some of the best middle Easter plates I had short of the Gyro places in Paris. The meat was tender yet well cooked and very savory. The Tahiti white sauce was excellent. The hummus had the perfect velvety texture that is rare to find and just the right flavor. Needles to say for $ 10 dollars it was an outstanding meal and highly recommend it. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. It is informal seating arrangement, not a lot of room and there is a high bar where to eat but only like 2 or 3 chairs so is clearly set up for a fast but tasty meal.

Their falafel sandwiches are the best. I have to admit that I crave them sometimes. Great prices, haven’t tried anything else but like I said the falafel sandwiches are great. Love their late hours!

Love this place. Usually come here after I’ve had too much to drink and/or when I’m starving before a gig, but it’s always solid. I get the falafel sandwich, those fried chickpea-doughs are the perfect amount of crisp and full of flavour, and the pickled onions mix in with the tahini sauce in perfect matrimony. Don’t forget the pickles — they are magical, and you must get them. Staff is always friendly, and let you add jerusalem salad and sometimes babaganoush. You really can’t beat $ 4, especially for the freshness, quality, and quick service. Go here now!

I hope the wild gentrification in the area never puts this place out of business. Best falafel sandwich I’ve ever had. I never fail to stop by when I have to take the L train somewhere.

Ah, Oasis. A staple for drunken face-stuffers all along the L Train. I don’t care where you decided to take far, far too many picklebacks,* if you pass anywhere near the Bedford stop, this is a good decision. Some of my friends swear by the falafel, but that doesn’t have any meat in it, and it seems silly to get the non-meat when the meat is available. So, shawarma. As soon as the nice** man starts sawing succulent meat off that spit, with its Maillard-darkened edges adding crisp textural contrast to the juicy bits as yet untouched by the rotating flame, I can’t help but get a little misty. $ 6 is a small price to pay for an overflowing meaty mess of a sandwich at any time of day. I love you, Oasis. And I want extra pickles. ____________ *Or whatever your«I’m too old to be drinking this» beverage of choice may be. **More surly than nice, but he’s giving me shawarma and that qualifies as nice to me.

$ 4 falafel sandwich, $ 6 shwarma pita. Their sandwiches are cut only at the top and is completely closed as the sides and bottom — the insides of your sandwiches can’t fall out. Good food, open for lunch, open for dinner, open for really late night.

#I’m surprised this place is still around, being right off the #Bedford stop. I commend them for keeping their prices #low all these years. And thank you for understanding my order even through my #drunken slur.

Oasis is your quick stop for Shwarma and just steps off the L train. I stumbled upon Oasis with my cousin who says it is his favorite Shwarama place in all of NYC which I think is a pretty bold statement. When I entered this quick food restaurant you quickly notice the divey décor with a handful of tables and chairs to sit down and eat after you order. There was a line of a few people infront me and two guys behind the counter who were friendly and quickly taking orders. Those two guys were also making the food so there were not many people working here but my food was made pretty fast and the wait was not long. The Shwarma platter was my choice which comes with Shwarama meat, rice, hummus, baba ganoush, red cabbage, and pickles. When getting food like this you gotta top it off with the spicy sauce and tahini sauce. It was all that for only $ 10. With every bite I took it was delicious and the meat was not greasy which was definitely a plus. You could tell the food was very fresh and high quality than a food cart. The hummus and baba ganoush has an authentic and homemade taste like the hummus I had in the middle east. Yum! In short: — Quick made Delicious Food — Fair Prices — Friendly Staff

What a great place for a falafel plate or sandwich. The place is nothing fancy but there are plenty of seats and service is quick. The prices are also very reasonable. Delicious shawarma also. Love it.

I had the Lamb Kebab. It was delicious. The Hummus, other sides and salad that was with it were also awesome. But the rice that accompanied it was a little bland. The portion was more than enough and I couldn’t finish it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice but it seemed like if it got any busier there would have been no place for us to sit. It would have been nice if they had some hot tea or coffee for after dinner but they only serve cold drinks.

Late night, post-drinking food usually consist of something unhealthy and unsatisfying-like a piece of pizza. My friend suggested Oasis, which was open late and I was so glad we decided on falafel –my goodness it was tasty, moist(I’ve had falafel that was dry-but not from here), satisfying and probably nutritionally better than a cheese pizza. The shop itself is very casual, nothing fancy. Reasonably, cheap eats for the large amount of food you get too. I went here over 4th of July weekend –yes, my review is a little late. I’d definitely go back, if I lived in NYC. Wished LA had shops like this for post-drinking, late nights!

My sister tried to steal my falafel sandwich. I was like«Go Oasis!» So she went away, just as I asked. And that gave me the idea for the restaurant name. True story. ;) If Brooklyn is a desert, then this is the Oasis. It has pretty decent, dirt cheap Falafel, which can only be a good thing. Stop on by and try one of their Falafel sandwiches for(last time I was there) under $ 5. Ask for extra sauces on it(tahini, or whatever), to make it dripping wet. Otherwise it might be a bit naturally dry for your taste. Especially if you like things super wet like I do(minds out of the gutter please). More than anything, though, I can’t believe the amazing price of these things in a place like NYC. They’re a real gem, and I would recommend these Falafels to anyone. The best in town(Mamoun’s, Grill Point, Hummus World on LI currently closed) are all on a higher level, but are also nearly twice the price in general. And this one is delicious, any way you look at it. Just don’t bring the Gallagher brothers here. They might punch a hole in the wonderwall or something.

Oasis fully satisfied last Friday’s late-late-night hunger craving. We ordered the famous falafel sandwich and were not disappointed. That thing is big, fresh, and cheap! But I don’t think it’s «the best» falafel in NYC. Don’t get me wrong, the falafels and slaw are amazing, but the sauce was just«eh.» Maybe I’ve been spoiled by Mamoun’s, but it just felt a bit dry.

Always looking to add to my go-to Drunchie list, I stumpled into Oasis at a semi-reasonable hour prior to a deep house yoga sesh at Verboten. With a large menu of items, including protein heavy and vegetarian options, on the cheap($ 3 – 6), it’s easy to see why Oasis would be a popular late-night snack spot. When you factor in the health aspects(basically that it’s not coated in sugar or deep fried) and the flavors of the food(the variety of spices yields an extremely rich and intense aroma), you can eat away all you want without feeling any of the guilt(minus the fact that it’s 2am, you’re probably wasted, and stuffing your face, of course). You can’t really go wrong with any their Falafels or shawarmas, so just close your eyes and point.
