From a few years ago until now the service has really dropped off. Even the food that used to be somewhat tasty isn’t good anymore. What a shame because this is good place to watch some sports being that they have all those TV’s.

Fantastic spot just steps away from public transport and just around the corner from Barclays! Wether you’re in to watch a game, catch up with friends or have a nice bite to eat, Mullanes is the place to be!

I ordered take-out. I ordered a $ 20 pasta dish, ok, it was lobster but it was only 5 lobster ravioli that came with the dish. My complaint isn’t the price or the amount of food. I knew both of those things already. My complaint is that as a pasta dish, any pasta dish bread should’ve come with the meal and if I had been dining at the actual restaurant I would’ve gotten it. I called the restaurant since it’s only 2 blocks away from my home and asked for bread to be sent over. The girl on the phone checked with the kitchen and came back saying the chef had told her bread isn’t given with this meal. I gave the girl the above reasons why I wasn’t happy and she went back to the kitchen. She then came back to tell me bread was on the way to me… But then I had to call to complain again because the chef is clearly a comedian … He sent me 3 squished pieces of bread that sadly looked like Wonder Bread trying to be something more, it certainly wasn’t the kind of bread that went with a pasta dish … If you’re not going to have any respect for the customer who’s spending money, If you think it’s ok to insult the customer then maybe you shouldn’t be working. And just because a person is not sitting in a restaurant doesn’t mean the amount and quality should be any different … especially if your expected to pay the same price …

I’ve been here so many times and am finally coming around to writing this review. This place is always busy, but there was never a time where my fiancé and I had to wait for an open table. They have outdoor seating with umbrellas, which is nice during a hot sunny day. But they have air conditioning and I never pass that up. So we always stay inside. I’ve had the BAM burger, which was amazing. The meat was cooked to my liking and the fries were crispy. I’ve also ordered their nachos with chili and buffalo wings. This place does not disappoint. They also have happy hour — as all bars should! They’ve got lots of tv screens where there’s always a game playing — be it baseball, American football, football, tennis, etc. If you’re in the area, I recommend you come and visit this place, grab a few drinks, eat some appetizers and go on about your day.

On a nostalgic visit to Clinton Hill/Ft. Greene(my old stomping grounds from 5+ years ago), I got turned around looking for the cluster of cool bars I used to frequent in the late 2000s. Before giving up and heading back to Manhattan, I decided to stop at Mullanes based on a distant memory of being there before. Ordered the Mexican Scramble from the brunch menu. The plate comes with eggs, Scramble scrambled with onions, black olives or black beans, tomatoes, green peppers and Jack cheese. It was pretty darn good. The sides were home fries and a conservative serving of cubed melons. The potatoes tasted a tad bit… old. As if they were made this a few hours ago and reheated, but still decent. The atmosphere is chill and casual. Diverse mix of patrons and servers. 6 nice size TVs at the bar showing whatever sporting event is on. If you prefer a more restaurant feel, you can grab a table in the back which, barring the occasional roar to a made goal/shot/first down, you’ll forget you’re in a sport-ish bar. Overall, cool spot. Will stop by if I ever again make it back to BK.

Came and had the BAM burger. It was DELICIOUS! And you could taste the nice char on the burger from the grill. I love when burgers are legitimately grilled this way. I got it well done because I usually asked more meats cooked that way if it’s a bar or I’m unfamiliar with the place, until I become familiar. Ultimately, DELICIOUS! I’d definitely come back for this burger.

Just steps away from Barclays, this bar is almost always packed. The 8 screens show sports and the bar is strategically situated in front of the large screens. Grab the Greene Tea cocktail but any drink is great. I love to pair it up with buffalo wings. This place can be great for families or bigger parties as well. They have a quieter dine in set-up at the back.

I absolutely love this spot. I use to frequent this place before I started being«fake healthy.» I enjoyed each meal I ever ordered; from the burgers, to the wings, to their salads. Their drinks are tasty also. I also like the vibe of this place. Everyone is extremely friendly, including the bartenders and the wait staff. After a long hiatus I came here yesterday and the vibe was still good. I’m planning on returning soon after I do my «fake detox.»

A great spot for a bite and drink! I had the fish and chips, which were pretty amazing, and my roommate had the burger. She griped a bit about it not being the best burger, but for one thing she’s picky as hell and two the service made up for shortcomings they might have had. Our server JT was super nice and genuine(not usually a word you associate in the service industry). Anyways, I got ditched by said roommate and just ended up hanging out at the bar over a drink chatting with the staff. Yeah, that’s weird huh? They’re that welcoming and friendly. Go check em out. And don’t skip dessert!

The ‘daily deal’ is probably one of the better lunch offers in the neighborhood. For $ 11 I got a quality clam chowder as well as a spice turkey burger with a small hill of fries. The environment is relaxed, pubby, and the wait staff knows how to roll with the randomness that comes with their job.

Everyone raves about the burgers here but they’re not impressive. In fact the food is just okay and so is the service.

Unfortunately, nothing really stood out to me at Mullanes… in a word, underwhelming. I think this place really has the potential to be someone’s local sports bar and watering hole. Lots of beers on tap, lots of space at the bar, and plenty of table tops(with more room in the back I think) The bartender was nice enough and attentive enough, except for when we actually needed him(for more drinks and/or our tab). Food was decent — fries with chili and their soup… but again underwhelming. Would i come back? Maybe as a last resort, but there are certainly other bars/restaurants around the area that can help liven up your night out.

I went to dinner with a group here(after walking by it at least four times a day for the past year!) on Monday night and found the overall experience to be very enjoyable. Pros: –awesome outdoor sidewalk dining – good place to see and be seen in Fort Greene, also can bring your pup to eat with you outside –easily located near the G train and a short walk to Barclay’s –large indoor bar and dining area – good for groups(accepts reservations) –happy hour is 3 – 7 pm weekdays includes $ 6 beers and shots, $ 5 house wines, and a free buffet(small but can’t beat free food!) –great place to watch sports games or relax with a drink –service was prompt and polite throughout –they have lunch, brunch and dinner menus –burgers and shepherds pie were top notch! myself and one other had mac and cheese which was good but not as good as the other meals(needed a little more sharp cheese i think!). Prices were good, $ 10 – 20 for most meals and they were good sized. Pub food but a level above Cons…not many to mention: –might not be the most kid-friendly spot as it can be more of a drinking crowd at times(might not be for everyone) Would suggest you check it out!

I’m not quite sure why it’s taken me so long to review this place. Mullanes is definitely my favorite place to frequent in the Fort Greene area. It’s a great place to watch a game, grab some drinks, or simply have a nice dinner. There is outdoor seating in the front as well as along the side. The food is delicious and consistent. Even though my boyfriend was super disappointed that they recently removed the fried clam strips from their menu. They have a small lunch special menu as well as happy hour specials. The service is attentive and always comes with a smile. I definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I’ve come here time and time again over the years. Mullanes is a borderline see-and-be-scene hotspot during summer weekends for the Ft. Greene/Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy set, which might seem unusual for a place that is essentially a bar. But this place benefits from being in the perfect location at the crossroads of Fulton and Lafeyette, a popular thoroughfare for bars, restaurants and(mild) nightlife. Best bets for food: The BAM Burger and Fort Greene Burger are winners, and the fettuccini is pretty good as well. A lot of people rave about the mac ‘n’ cheese, but I was rather underwhelmed when I tried it. Stick with a burger and beer or cocktail.

Found this restaurant yesterday on our way from the parking garage to the Barclay’s Center. What a find!!! We had one hour to grab a quick bite before the concert and this restaurant made it happen. We were seated immediately, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our waitress was awesome. Got our cocktails on the table in less than 5 minutes from the time we were seated. My husband ordered a burger and I ordered the crab cakes. Both were delicious. I will definitely come back here when we have more time to hang. I’m curious about the rest of the menu. This place did not disappoint.

Nice little spot, especially in the spring and summer when they have the outside seating going on. If you’re in the area for something at BAM definitely recommend it. Decent draft selection and the food is your typical American gastro pub. For all my north Brooklyn crowd it’s literally across the way from the Fulton G stop. I had Elliot’s Burger… Pretty good, nothing to scream about, but let’s be honest very few burgers elicit that kind of passion. Waitress was lovely but a bit overloaded with the entire outside section. They could use another. I would give it another shot on a week night for sure next time I’m down there for BAM action.

Whaaaat! No frozen magaritaville because the season changed! What type of place/country is this?!? Forced to go with margarita wait for it… on the rocks *le sighs*. It didnt taste that spectacular. No matter how hard I stirred, the flavors just weren’t cooperating, they stayed apart.(Yes I was the crazy ‘fro lady stirring at the bar) There are about 7 regular, 1large screen tellys in here, the music is loud and we’re trying to be heard. There’s an energy in Mullanes that you won’t appreciate if you’re looking for a quite evening in Magaritaville. The 2 crab cakes which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli were flavour-less. The MickeyDees«fish» burger was more appetizing. The Chaos Pie: A layer of brownie, cheesecake, fudge cake, walnuts and topped with chocolate mousse, truffles decorated with walnuts and white chocolate hit the spot. The End
