Reviewing their Monthly Jerky pack: underwhelming, overpriced, and low quantity. Seriously, it’s expensive and this latest pack of 3 jerkys for $ 50 is just MEH. Also, any fished based jerks remind me of Chinese dried fish. The cuts of meat used are not jerky worthy. You’re honestly better off buying jerky at a Costco instead of this hipster bull.

Received a big box of Mouth products as a gift, which was very, very sweet, and generous. Beautiful, if a little overdone, packaging. The only thing we’ve had worth eating was the Mast chocolate bar, everything else was just… off, in a weird way. The products are hip and quaint, like Brooklyn, but nothing was very good, unfortunately. Stale cookies. Bizarre, unappealing flavor combinations. Mouth, or maybe Brooklyn, needs to maybe get back to the basics, and stop trying to create novelty with food. Zingerman’s makes a better gift box, if you need one.

I don’t often post reviews but had to share my experience with whoever is listening. Aside from the fact that everything we’ve ordered from Mouth has been incredible(including the whisky of the month club– highly recommend) their customer service is best-in-class. I recently ordered the Negroni kit for my hubby(Father’s Day gift). When it arrived, although meticulously wrapped and protected, one of the bottles was smashed to pieces. Given Father’s Day is tomorrow, I really needed a replacement and wasn’t able to go to DUMBO as I was working. So what did they do? They sent someone from their Brooklyn store to Manhattan to personally hand deliver a replacement. Now that is customer service. You get what you pay for I always say. So yes their prices may seem high but when you look at the value, what you get, they’re clearly way under market. Great job Mouth and thank you again!!!

Would be 5 stars if they were ever open. I think I’ve managed to buy something from them 3 times in nearly a year.

Not a good experience. The packaging is lovely. Ends there. I’ve sent 3 gifts from Mouth and given one«____of the month» club. The one-off gifts did arrive and were ok(although some were stale). The item of the month club has been a let down — not delivered as promised, items which are available at Whole Foods(«artisanal” — really?). Not what one would expect from the price tag! Customer service was pleasant when I pointed out the non-delivery of an item but it appears that they have again messed up and another delivery was missed. Avoid.

Nice branding and packaging and that is where it ends. Products are mediocre and not worth price. All one note and nothing is all that great. You could wear a blind fold and source your own treats and end up with better. Save your money.

Yes, it may be a little pricey, but their stuff is great — & so is their service. I sent some cookies & a bottle of bourbon to a friend who had just moved. Knowing that she wouldn’t be in her new place until a week later, I emailed the company asking if they could possibly ship it a little later. I got a response within the hour saying they absolutely could. They even asked if I had meant to order bourbon rather than the whiskey I picked because of the note I had attached to the gift. EXCELLENT service. Thanks, Mouth!

Pretension meets mediocrity. AVOID. Abysmal customer focus and tone deaf to the neighborhood in Dumbo. Open until 8pm? That’s surely a joke and indicative of their lack of appreciation of the cadence of the area. Don’t allow dogs in the shop which is absurd for a spirits shop and frankly the bald proprietor was rather rude as well. Selection may impress those with limited insight into the current landscape of artisanal spirits, but utter failure and disappointment to have this be the new arrival in the neighborhood. Keep buying online from real purveyors. Note this is for the Dumbo location not online ordering from Mouth — other reviews are clearly not for the brick and mortar location.

First thing’s first, THESEDUDESAREAWESOME. The other reviewer said that Mouth is expensive. However, if you bought these indie foods directly from the vendors, they would cost you EVENMORE. Mouth provides discounted prices on items you won’t be able to find anywhere else in the country except directly from the sellers themselves. I love the concept and idea behind MOUTH. Not to mention, I LOVEFOOD. If you like trying new, unique foods, check them out on . Shipping is free on orders over $ 50 so that really pays off too. I was worried I would have to pay a lot to ship my foods as I live in California. I found so many cool things I wanted to try that I had no problem getting that free shipping. Their selection is so enormous and unique! Also, if you sign up for their newsletter you get 20% off your order so that’s great too. I got my order quickly and they gave me a free tote, magazine, and chilling bag all for FREE! Add all this on to the fact that they give their customers such good deals on pricing, MOUTH was definitely worth it.

They send you artisanal, hipster treats in a cool carry bag with a little wooden tasting spoon. Pricey. Yep. Maybe too hip. Sure thing. But I have NEVER had nibbles as good as some of their stuff. They sell Oak Park, Illinois’ Rare Bird Preserves’ Passion Fruit Curd is a take on lemon curd. One word description: delish. Their Meyer Lemon Rosemary Marmalade is also fab. Want pickles? Sweet Pickled Reds are unfathomably good; red onions pickled by Green Hollow Preserves in SF California. Or the pickled asparagus from Epic Pickles of York, PA are also tops. The Harissa Spiced Nuts and BATTENKILLBRITTLE are yummy. Beef jerky varieties galore. I joined the Chocolate of the Month Club. They have one for pickles, etc. All are not cheap. But I have bought all the stuff I listed here and am VERY happy with all of it. Worth the money.
