This is a New York slice at its best. What you get here is classic and delicious(and greasy) — there is no pomp and glitz involved. The atmosphere is nothing fancy, so don’t expect the typical branding catered to high-dollar spenders. Do expect some nice small talk with the employees. I had the sauteed spinach with eggplant, perfectly heated and great for the nights you don’t want to throw down a big expense in Red Hook.

I’ve always had Marks when I lived in Brooklyn Haven’t had it in over a year since my move to Staten Island & I must say, It’s as great as I can remember. I had the sautéed spinach & eggplant parm, excellent!

Pizza, ok. I’m a Grande Cheese girl, and I don’t think they use Grande. Meatballs, ok… Typical, pizza shop meatballs, nothing special. However, the FOOD is really good! Lasagne is really good, and hefty! The garlic bread is amazing(really garlic-ey), but with so many herbs, butter, and good bread! I also really like their pasta with chicken & spinach — basic, I know, but really good, especially with some melted mozz! My bf got the baked ziti with chicken cutlet the other night, and that was really good too! Cheesesteaks are good. Also, the spicy chicken(rolls, pizza, etc) is a nice twist on a basic item. Buffalo chicken looks good, but they use bleu cheese drizzle, not ranch, so beware, if you don’t like bleu cheese! Overall, good food, quick and convenient in Red Hook.

I was surprised to find a good slice out here but Marks is really solid. The overall style is somewhat like Joe’s of Bleeker St fame. Seems like there is always a customer or two in there. Local cops hit this spot as well, which is usually a sign of good food and good value.

These are really good slices and they are very consistent. If in the area they are my go to for a slice. In fact I will head there for a slice even if I am over on Court or Smith st.

Rare does a random pizza place takes me by surprise. On my way to my car I was drawn to the irresistible blinding lights of this pizza joint. Not expecting much, I would give their plain slice a 10⁄10. And I am a pizza snob. The crust was thin, but strong enough where the slice did not droop. Perfect ratio of cheese to sauce to crust. What a great way to start 2015!

Friday night had a slice of Chicken with Vodka Sauce(and fresh mozzarella) that was one of the best slices I’ve had in a while anywhere. The chicken was grilled cutlet sliced thin and well seasoned. $ 3.50. Most places would’ve charged $ 4.50-$ 5 for a loaded slice like this. The next day ordered a Meatball sub delivered and for $ 6 it was huge and included cheese. The meatballs didn’t blow me away(like Defontes, but hey, they’re closed on Saturday and the same sandwich would’ve cost $ 10.75.) but I was full and satisfied.

I live no more than 5 blocks away and the food always takes more than 40 minutes and it’s borderline cold. This time I ordered a pizza, waited over an hour and nothing. No food or call from the pizzeria. Had to resort to contacting to cancel my order. Don’t know how this pizza shop plans on staying in business with this type of service.

Great price, calzones are awesome. Pasta was okay, but the service more than makes up for it.

These guys really seem to exercise care in the food products they send out. The mozzarella on the supreme pie is fresh, the marinara with the garlic knots is hot, and they never forget the blue cheese and celery when you order hot wings. The prices are reasonable too… definitely my go to neighborhood pizza joint.

Work in the area and we have been trying to find a go to pizza spot that delivers(I hate Domino’s) Found a menu for Mark’s at the corner bodega and have been ordering from them for about 2 months now. Thursday is officially«Pizza day» and we have tried several varieties of toppings. The Supreme pie is excellent. They can sometimes make the cheese a lil runny so ask for it well done but the crust is one of the best crusts I have ever tried. Crispy and flavorful. Have also tried their salads which are huge and full of ingredients, the chicken fradiavalo wrap is very spicy and garlicky and the gyros are big and very tasty. A very solid pizza place.

Nothing special. It’s nice inside, the air conditioning is nice, but the pizza seems pretty average. $ 2.25 for 1 regular slice & although the balance of sauce, cheese, & crust(& crust thickness) was good(the elements in good proportion), I didn’t think it actually tasted particularly better than many $ 1 slices I’ve gotten around the city. Canned drinks $ 1(big drink selection), medium regular pie for $ 11.50(16″), large $ 12.50(18″). They do a LOT more than pizza too & a lot of specialty pies. Not bad, not awesome. Regular slice should be cheaper for what it is.

They make the best Chicken Parm heros ever, SWEET, SAUCY, CHEESY and the bread is always fresh and usually soft unless they toast it a bit too long. and their baked Ziti is pretty good too. You may have to wait 30 min for it to be delivered, but its well worth it! Friendly delivery guys too.

THIS is the pizza you want when you’re craving pizza. Like other reviewers have mentioned, it can be a touch greasy, but let’s be honest… if you’re CRAVING pizza, you are likely craving greasy pizza. The pepperoni is the best around. On the spicy side and they don’t skimp. I can’t speak to anything else, but I will tell you I used to live down the street from here and now I make the haul from Park Slope just to get this pizza. It is far superior to any I’ve found in my new neighborhood. Also, it’s cheaper than most«fancy» pizza joints. Also, the guys who hang out there regularly are nice to my dog, Bonus.

aw, i love mark’s. they deliver fast and consistent pizza that is just like the pizza i grew up eating. pretty basic, sometimes a little greasy, often a little salty, but overall entirely satisfying when the urge for pizza hits. they make pretty mean garlic knots also, and are CHEAP. mark’s has saved my life on many a drunken night and a hungover next morning.
