A clean bathroom! That’s what first struck us as we ran in. So many coffee houses forget that after you drink tea or coffee, you have to pee. The bathroom here was spotless and nice. But what really bowled us over was the excellent latte, chai, and quiche we had. This place is a total find. Makes us wish we lived in Brooklyn.

The best coffee I have had in years, and the cup is huge. My sandwich was tasty too. They have wifi too. Cons. No couches just chair seating

Under New Management(beware) I used to love LUVTEA until yesterday, April 4, 2013. I went to LUVTEA and ordered a Luscious Lemon Tea(hot) and was given the wrong order(ice tea). I mentioned this error to the employee and he asked, «This is not what you wanted?» I was displeased that he didn’t apologize – rather he accused me of changing my mind, rolled his eyes and made the tea that I originally ordered –adding that it would take four minutes. After six minutes or so the tea was ready – SORTOF. It had what seemed like a million tea leaves floating in it. So I kindly asked the employee to strain the tea and he did so, but with resistance and more eye rolling. I paid for the tea and he shoved my change(50 cents) in my face and he said nothing – no thank you, no sorry for making the wrong order – nothing. The last time I went to LUVTEA, I was greeted with a kind smile and my drink order was timely and always came out right. I don’t know what happened to LUVTEA, where did the customer friendly employees go? So watch out – if your order is mixed up – you’ll be the accused and you’ll be expected to pay for it!

Crystal and Steve are doing an amazing thing with this little shop. Excellent teas. They serve Blue Bottle coffee! And their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. I love the mini art shows that they organize every month or so.

A small, bright, and inviting café with fragrant tea, healthy sandwiches, and vegan loaves for dessert. I met one of my professors here over the summer and liked the space so much I stayed to work until they closed.

Bright and cheery with welcoming service. Good not great selection of herbal teas, of which I enjoyed my cup of rooibos. Somewhat small space that is a bit off the beaten path.

Nicest people! Better than average coffee; they use Blue Bottle but I think they’re still figuring out their coffee game. Good tea and snacks.

I’ve been here a couple of times in the past year, here are just a few things I love about this place: the location, the blue bottle coffee they serve(pour over), the most delicious New Orleans styled ice coffee, the sparkling ginger tea, and let me not forget about the lemonade mixed with the ice tea… As for the owners/staff extremely friendly and knowledgable about tea/coffee…

Cute little tea café tucked away somewhere in Brooklyn, I really have no idea where I was… but it was a good find. If I lived in the area, it’d be a great place to chill on the weekend or get some work done. They have a nice selection of teas, something for everyone really(ASLONGASYOULUVTEA). I believe it was cash only, but if you don’t have 2 – 3 bucks for a cup of tea, you have bigger problems.

I love this place. It’s always clean, the coffee and food are great, and most importantly — THEWIFIACTUALLYWORKS. I’m very sick of coffee shops claiming to have«Free Wifi» when it doesn’t work 90% of the time. The service is also great and it’s quiet enough to bring your lap top and have no trouble focusing on work. Great enviromment!

I love everything about this place except for one thing. They play BAD, ANNOYINGMUSIC. Loud, distracting top 40 bullshit. All day. Not every time I’m there, but usually, especially during weekdays. If they could just get an iPod full of low-key, unobtrusive music, Luv Tea would take its rightful place among my favorite cafés in Brooklyn. As it is, it can be tough to get work done in there. Other than the music, this place is great. Great tea, coffee, and iced tea, good sandwiches, good snacks, nice employees, excellent(non-aural) atmosphere, WiFi, comfortable seats, attractive clientele, and it usually isn’t crowded, even on weekends – everything one dreams of in a café. Just please, do something about the MUSIC!!!

I’m in love with Luv Tea! Ok, maybe I’m more obsessed than in love. I make excuses to go to that part of town(umm, I just wanted to see the new bike shop on fulton. Umm, I think I dropped my mascara on Vanderbilt somewhere) just so I can stop by and pick up an iced chai, or a ginger tea(but really, I try something different every time). And that part of town is really anywhere within say 15 blocks of Luv Tea. Cause what’s an extra mile on foot or on my bike just to swing by and taste something new? The tea is delicious, and the space is so cute and cozy. If you don’t love the tea of Luv Tea, you can always have their coffee, Blue Bottle coffee is something to be obsessed with, too.

It’s been a while since I’ve written a Unilocal review, and for that I’m sorry.(I’ve missed you, Unilocal.) But a lot’s been going on in my once humble neighborhood of Clinton Hill, and as the forces of gentrification grow ever stronger, more and more interesting spots are opening mere blocks from my apartment. Luv Tea is one of two new(!) fancy tea joints that fit that bill. Now as a coffee drinker, I have my go to neighborhood staples – Choice Greene, Primrose, Bedford Hill and Outpost all have good coffee – so I rarely have reason to stray. But having noticed that they also served the über-hip, high end Blue Bottle coffee on a day that Outpost was closed for a brief renovation, I decided to give Luv Tea a try. First thing: bad name. Not a big deal, really. Second thing: good location. It’s wedged between The Fulton Grand and the food co-op, on a quiet stretch from the not-so quiet Fulton Ave. The space is on the small side but pleasant enough And I’ll admit that I was a little put off by the fact that the now obligatory Brooklyn«cold brew» iced-coffee is only NOLA style, with Chicory and sugar. I had to settle for what they call«pour over,» which I waited a while for. But to my surprise it almost as good as what I’m used to. And Luv Tea, of course, has a ton of teas, as well as 5 or 6 specialty style iced teas on tap.(Cool.) I almost regretted not getting one – the Homemade Ginger variety was particulary intriguing. What else? Debit cards. They take ‘em, and do NOT have a minimum. Take that, Outpost! PS Had a really great, fancy egg sandwich here recently. And if I’m starting to think their pour over iced coffee is a little watery and takes forever to make, the good news is that they’re getting an espresso machine soon, so an iced americano is not far away.(Apparently the machine that looks like an espresso machine is actually a «teapresso». And no, I did not just make that up.) PPS Turns out that the NOLA cold brew iced coffee is available without sugar and is excellent. Also: I had a pour over hot coffee that was, without hyperbole, the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. It took 10 minutes, but it was almost worth it. ;)

Nice tea shop and the barista is very knowledgeable. The green tea cookies are yummy and priced fairly. I don’t pretend to know what the appropriate hours of operation should be… but I surely wish they had later hours. Fun fact: this shop is opposite the space that used to be Desserts by Michael Allen. Oh, how I wish LuvTea sold Mr. Allen’s macaroons! Mr. Allen is now operating from the Fresh Finatic store on Park and Washington Aves.

stumbled by this place on my way to outpost. I was getting tired of the coffee at bedford hill cause it tastes a little bitter to me. I figured I’d give it a shot! I’m more of a coffee person then a tea person, and it turns out they brew blue bottle drip coffee! LOVEBB! Luvtea doesn’t offer any other things like lattes and such, but I dont mind, the coffee was still great. The owner is so nice and so willing to get to know her customers. Very neighborhood friendly. very satisfied will go back for sure!!! SOHAPPYTOHAVEBLUEBOTTLEINTHENEIGHBORHOOD!!!

Luv Tea is new, cozy, and very, very welcoming. A real go-to place for tea or for a laid-back environment. It has what a lot of coffee shops are starting to lack: focus. They do tea well. While I browsed the menu of teas, I was offered samples to distinguish their two Chai options. I ordered a hot Ginger Joy and the spicier of the Chai drinks. Ginger Joy was strong and aromatic. The Chai drink was different from other Chais I’ve had — not as thick or flavorful as homemade chais from India or Southeast Asia, but not as light or watery as some café fare. It worked out well for me. Socially: It was a great place to converse! Some people head there to read or study as well. Businesswise they seem savvy and engaged(using SquareUp and online receipts by e-mail or web). If you’re green leaning especially, to stop by. While at Luv Tea, I recommend engaging the people who work there in dialog. They’re very personable, and as a whole are knowledgeable and seem eager to make a memorable and fun experience. The menu selection, menu itself, and how they do business are acts of design I appreciate! I plan to go back! (and spread the word…)

This place is freakin’ adorable. Friendly, outgoingly informative management. High quality product. I was still a little tweaked out from the massive iced coffee I bought here seven working hours later. That doesn’t happen often. I definitely got my money’s worth on the caffeine. My only wish is for a location in my neighborhood.

I live in the neighborhood and just tried LuvTea for the first time today. What a delightful little place! So many kinds of hot and cold tea plus Blue Bottle coffee and pastries… and WIFI!!! The owner, Crystal, is really sweet and is a local too. I definitely plan to go to LuvTea lots!

went to the soft opening of this tea shop today and tasted the mojiti(green tea, mint, and lemonade). It was super refreshing and cut right through the mugginess of today. Looking fwd to trying out more things here!
