This Chinese restaurant is a hole in the wall place with great price and good tasting food. There’s some language barrier but at least it’s more authentic that way. Not friendly to large parties as I remember only two tables there. But take out was good portioned and tasted great still. We had General Tso’s chicken, chicken with mixed vegetables, and hot and sour soup. All three tasted terrific.

Believe it or not, you’ll find some of the best fried chicken in Bushwick right here at Lucky Garden. Order the chicken wings. They’re delicious and only $ 5.25, and come with either fries or rice. Amazing deal.
Beware the staff barely speaks any English. But they’re very nice. Check this place out!

My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and one of our first tasks was to find a good Chinese place. I trusted the few good reviews on this one and went. They are sometimes hit or miss, but they are pretty solid for take-​out Chinese food.
Chicken and broccoli is my go-​to and they are on point. Lots of brown sauce to drench over my rice. Their prices are good and their delivery is always fast and fresh.

I had skipped lunch today and was on my way from Wyckoff Heights Medical Center when I took a walk and then came upon this fast food Chinese restaurant. Not wanting a big meal I ordered a pint of chicken noodle soup and a shrimp egg roll. The guy did not understand me at first and thought I ordered the chicken gizzards. But he was nice enough when I corrected him.
My order was done in about 5 minutes. My order taker asked if I wanted sauce and when I asked for hot sauce. he gave me four packets. Also with my soup order came those crispy noodles.

Ohhh my god it’s Friday night 10pm and I figure what can I expect from a couple of soup orders from the closest Chinese joint. Turns out, quite a bit.
The owners/​staff are so friendly and warm. They bother to put faces to names and remember you. The ingredients actually taste fresh. I mean of course this is still way Americanized Chinese food so if you want some authentic Szechuan I can have a few Flushing suggests. But seriously – similar establishments take note: the aren’t-we-pleased-to-meet-you is a lot more endearing than the get-your-msg-fix-and-get-the-f*ck out.
Please note that there *was* a language barrier. A very smiley charming one that hasn’t interfered with my orders.
Bring cash but seriously dude if you’re anywhere in NYC and you don’t have cash don’t get all agitated and stuff. Expect the expected.

I am always looking for inexpensive healthy options, whatever the category of food. So when my friend suggested Chinese I laughed at him. Bushwick Chinese food? Inexpensive, yes, but cooked to hell and covered in sauce and oil and msg. He assured me that he had found a solution. The food came in about ten minutes, for real, and I realized what he had ordered… steamed vegetables and steamed tofu with sauce on the side. The veggies were steamed to perfection, I’m not kidding, and the sauce on the side– which I usually skip– was a delicious mild Chinese five spice that I ended up eating most of. I saw later from their menu that all of the steamed veggies come with this sauce that is homemade (obviously, from the taste) and made without sugar, salt or corn starch. The whole thing fed both of us and was $ 4.75. I kid you not, I could eat this every day. I have no idea about anything else but if you want simple, delicious, clean food (why is this so hard to find??) this is an answer for you.
