Very cozy and welcoming. Communal tables are laptop free which is nice for people who just want to eat. Coffee is great and food I’ve enjoyed every time. their grilled cheese and tomato soup is ace.

Cozy little café with great coffee. For $ 3-$ 4 you can get a hand-crafted latte and they have tons of options to try. The atmosphere is warm and inviting — a nice place for an intimate conversation away from the busy city scene. Only downside is it’s packed on the weekends! We ended up sitting on one of their outside benches because every chair/table was taken by people doing work while they drink. But I’d definitely return next time I’m in the area.

I have to say that I came in expecting the worst. «another wanna be hipster coffee shop» and that the only reason I came in is cause nothing else seems to be open at 9:30am on a Sunday. I looked at the menu they had on the walls and rolled my eyes at the minimum $ 10 price they had for all the sandwiches so I decided on a hit chocolate and a bagel. The service was good and the bagel and chocolate were amazing. Next time I’ll try their sandwiches

Almost every time I order they mess it up or leave something out. It really sucks when you pay extra for additions and then it’s not even in your sandwich. Also, I have Celiac disease and am gluten free and they’ve given me the wrong bread before which made me super sick. Despite specifically requesting the GF bread and paying extra for it. I don’t know how much longer the good food will make up for the incompetence/laziness.

Got the iced bomb latte and it was delicious! I wish it was a tad less sweet, but given there’s condensed milk, I realize that’s unlikely. The staff was friendly, the space good for working independently, and food decent. If I lived in the neighborhood, I could see myself visit quite frequently.

Amazing and cheap high quality sandwiches and you can have avocados on everything and a hot chocolate with a beautiful foam design on top. I live in Sunset Park but it’s worth the hike.

Großartiger Kaffee und sehr leckerer Avocado Sandwich! Die Preise sind etwas höher, aber das ist wohl normal in NY. Um mit Creditkarte zahlen zu können, muss man auf 10 $ kommen! For the English speakers, try the Club Mate! It’s very pricey, but totally worth it in case you need an alternative to the usual energy drinks. It’s a Mate-Tea based drink from Gernany!:)

super cute coffee shop, with a good selection of food/snacks. We were there around 11am on a rainy Thursday morning, and the place was packed with people on their laptops. service was great, and I will definitely stop there again!

We came here based on the rave reviews and I’m probably going to get slammed for this and this is only for the 2 coffees we got but they were absolutely horrible. So so bitter and undrinkable. Taste like a very dirty machine. I am Australian so I know what a good coffee taste like. There were however extremely nice about it be offered to make us another coffee but we opted for a refund . As for the actual décor I mean there’s a fine line between hipster and just plain feral, I think they’re cutting it close. I don’t think we will be back anytime soon. I shame as we just moved around the corner. Sorry little skips ! :(

Food is bomb, but the tables are crowded with laptops. Feels like a college library rather than a place to enjoy coffee and food. Its hard to get a seat considering the amount of time people are spending doing their work at the tables.

They have Thai iced tea. #yes Good spot to work in – about half half for laptops and normal customers. Good jams, but music is way too loud sometimes.

The food here is so damn good, I got The M Train and a matcha tea latte, t’was poifect. So the music was whatever, then this ridiculous song came on, in assuming it was Meek Mill or Big Sean or some shit like that, but the thing is, I kid you not, the song was on repeat for at least 4 to 5 times. I wanted to kill myself. Someone stay on top of that pls & thank u It’s also hot as balls in here

This spot was recommended by my AirBnB host, so I decided to give it a try. If you’re familiar with Washington DC, this spot reminds me of Big Bear Café. It’s a quaint spot with a boho feel that serves coffee, sandwiches, and offers the ambiance to either get work done or have casual conversation with friends. I tried the special, coconut latte, and it was delicious! I can’t wait to go back tomorrow for another one! I also had«The M Train» sandwich, which already has me figuring out how to make it at home!

Little Skips was one of the first coffee shops I visited in NYC, when I still lived outside the city. Little did I know this endearingly grungy hangout would one day become my neighborhood gem. Pros: + A++++ espresso(and I’m a 4.0 student, so I know what an A+ looks like) ;) + adding on to above, the espresso is served with sparkling water. YES. They recently invested in a soda stream, which is economically and environmentally SUPER! + numerous vegan options: tofutti cream cheese, vegan grilled cheese, vegan cookies and pastries, and most importantly… + THATVEGANBLT. Add avocado. + local art dresses the walls and changes periodically + mismatched vintage chairs and tables create a feast for the eyes + latte art ranges from incredible to «average,» but never less. Depends on who’s working. + they use locally made almond milk. It’s thick and nutty + my roommate(and many other regulars) go nuts for the Thai iced tea + very flexible menu that allows you to add or adapt(already spectacular) sandwiches and salads to fit your dietary preferences or restrictions.(Examples include opting for a gluten-free wrap instead of sandwich bread, subbing [unbelievably good] vegan cheese in the grilled cheese, or adding in any of the many extras they have to choose from: hard-boiled eggs, avocado, jalapeños, etc.) + extensive tea menu, and there are always a couple that are already iced and ready to go(but you could ask for any tea iced) + cool, friendly, knowledgable staff + great spot for people-watching. You’ll see the most interesting haircuts, mesmerizing fashion styles, etc. You’ll see students researching or preparing an essay, and you’ll see people sitting and sketching in moleskin notebooks. + variety of seating options Cons: — very cramped, but the opening of the outpost definitely helped with the flow of customers. — charging for ice is a thing that needs to goooooo. — some of the chairs have far passed their prime and are ready to be replaced(holes in the seat???) — there are only three outlets available and the seats surrounding them are usually snatched up quickly – bring a fully-charged device when possible! Tip for optimal happiness: You have to learn where the best seats are to receive(or avoid) the drafts from the air conditioner. If you’re hot, position yourself across from one of the two ACs or you will burn. If you’re cold, sit directly beneath the ACs or by the window to avoid the draft.

MMM! Hands down the best sandwich ever! The«M» Train! Our second choice, The Vegan BLT. These sandwiches are so thick and filling. Always made with. The«M» Train– goat cheese, pesto, Ovengold turkey, tomato, mixed greens, honey, red onion & hard-boiled egg on wheat toast! Plus chips! The team behind it all are AWESOME! It does get busy in there, so please visit with patience. BONUS: The Counter Culture Coffee is delicious. Thanks guys!

I have fond first memories of Little Skips, mostly because this was the first place I came to in Bushwick after stumbling, bewildered and quite lost, off the M train. Little did I know, I’d end up signing a lease on an apartment a few blocks away and come to Little Skips frequently during the fall. As others have noted, Little Skips is seriously a hipster haven. Graffiti everywhere, rotating artwork by local artists inside, vegan options, mismatching furniture– the list goes on and on. Good luck getting a seat inside if you visit during prime weekend hours– people tend to hunker down with laptops for hours here, and the lines can get pretty long. While I really don’t like their coffee(it always just seems extremely bitter and gives me stomachaches), their sandwiches are great. Fittingly, the«M Train» is my favorite($ 10), with goat cheese, pesto, turkey, greens, honey, red onion and hard boiled egg. The honey goes perfectly with the goat cheese and gives it a great hint of sweetness. I don’t come back here very often nowadays, as it’s just too crowded most days, has a credit card minimum, and the crowd can be pretty pretentious at times. It’s definitely a Bushwick-essential, but just remember that there are plenty of other great local cafes located nearby.

This place is hipster heaven. My hipsterometre went through the roof went I walked in. If you’re not sipping coffee while surfing the web on your MacBook, you won’t fit in. The coffee and the tea were really great though. I had finally never tasted cold coffee that was that good. I had the veggie sandwich, and was very satisfied with — beware, it’s huge. My husband had the Norwegian and also loved it.

A haiku for Little Skips: Super cute, quaint spot Delicious sandwiches too Hipsters like Hip Hop? Food: The Norwegian: yes, Yes and more YES! I love avocados and glad they’re all over this open faced, glorious sandwich. No chips with this one though. :( The Italian: Can you say hell yeah? Well hell yeah, that balsamic does it! Turkey Brie: Not my favorite but brie is always delicious. Drinks: Coconut Latte: Latte infused with coconut oil. Delight in a generous mug. Macchiato: Teeny, tiny. Call it Macchiato, Jr. Love the repetitive but cultured travel photos on the walls.

I hate using the term«hipster», but dang, this place is the definition. Curated graffiti on the outside, tattooed young artistic professionals on the inside. The cold brew was excellent, and my vegan BLT was also very tasty. These two items came to $ 16. Very friendly baristas. They don’t accept American Express, and there is a $ 10 credit card minimum. So, unless you’re rich, or only earn cash, this isn’t going to work out for you as a single person at a coffee shop. This is the kind of place I’d come to once in a while, but it’s way to hip and pricey for every day. Clementine in Clinton Hill has better vegan sandwiches and coffee for half the price.
