I’ve got the phone number but don’t have any Unilocaly information in front of me. So I call to get the address and hours. When I ask for the address the guy grumbles«Brooklyn, New York». Thanks Sweet Cheeks but that doesn’t help me much. He eventually coughs up the address but then fusses with me when I ask for the hours. He only gives me hours for Thursday through Sunday. When I try to conform that they’re closed 3 days a week he continues to be a jerk. With this many one star reviews and such idiotic treatment over the phone I’ll be skipping this place!

This is my first review on this website, We had wedding party at this place that I want to note is that the food was amazing, I would say fantastic, thanks to Chef Roman for that. I give FOUR stars because of the horrible service, the waiters were not friendly, sometimes started disputing in which glass pour liquor, after the banquet one of the guests heard from the kitchen — «Do not care about it, because they are all wasted.» Guys(waiters) if you do not like the occupation — change it, but do not spoil the image of such a good restaurant.

Had the misfortune of being here for a dinner, and wow was it bad. There were a few indicators right away. First you’re forced to pay a mandatory $ 3 coat check, which makes sense in a club, but not eating dinner. Especially when, leading to number 2… You’re the only people in this place on a weekend — it’s empty and spacious. Not a good sign in itself, but that can happen. Third, the service was non-existent, they must have been cooking the food too… and it sure tasted like the wait staff was, because everything was mediocre at best. All of the plates were left at the table from each course, it was cluttered and dirty. For the prices and the experience, it was definitely not worth it. Go to Orange Grill.

Horrible experience. Forgetting 5 – 6 dishes from the banquet menu and still charging full price with no apologies is absolutely unacceptable! Disgusting service and attitude! Orange Grill is Much Better!

Do not recommend going to this place. Terrible place, very unprofessional service, and poor food quality. The waiter messed up the order twice, and did not apologize. Took forever to get the food and the place was not even packed. The place itself looks like a hole in the wall.

Completely inattentive waiters, spoke in Russian and when we didn’t answer in Russian they started ignoring us. We watched them make several trips to other tables with russian speaking patrons… The portions were small, the prices high and they had the audacity to add gratuity to a party of 2.

I was pleasantly surprised by Le Bouchon. Took my family there for dinner on a night my wife didn’t feel like cooking. The restaurant had only a few people there which were great for us as the waiter was very attentive. They had a decent wine selection and very pleasant staff. The ambiance was nice, in fact this place was very upscale for this neighborhood. The place is dimly lit with a heavy wooden décor, nice plates and silverware. The food very excellent! We had a mushroom salad and some lobster ravioli to start, which my kids loved. For the main we tried the lamb chops — perfectly done, skirt steak which was good, great sea bass and a terrific dick dish. The marble cheesecake that my kids polished off was really amazing. Overall — an excellent experience.

Things started out well — upon coming in from the cold I was politely asked for my coat at the door(complimentary coat check, nice!), and welcomed into the warm and well-decorated dining area. There were a few kids running around, but I figured it was probably just the end of some family’s dinner and they were getting ready to leave, so I didn’t think much about it as I ordered dinner and a cocktail. As I waited for my dinner it seemed like the kids kept multiplying, until there were 9 ~6-yr-olds running around my table, yelling and stomping — it wasn’t the kids’ fault, they were acting their ages, it was the parents’ and owners faults — after talking to the manager it turned out they basically use the restaurant as a day-care — the kids’ weren’t dinner’s children, there were only me and a few couples in the dinning area. It was bad enough that they had turned the music up to uncomfortably loud levels to try to drown out the kids’ noise(instead of having the kids play somewhere else), and even then I put my headphones on to try to enjoy the meal. The food itself was fine, although at $ 30 for just the entrée I’d rather go to any good steakhouse around 5th and 40th(club A comes to mind) and get a great location, great service, and great atmosphere, and great food, all of which Le Bouchon lack. I ended up ordering dessert after dinner — «apple strudel with vanilla ice cream» — I expected slices of fresh apple topped with a flakey crust, ended up with apple sauce covered in a soggy dough thing with chocolate on the side — couldn’t they at least tell me they were out of vanilla? I finally went to pay and they informed me they don’t accept credit card. Fine, I’ll pay cash — went to leave, and the«complimentary coat check» was not«complimentary» — also takes cash.

Where do they come up with those prices? In this area? You’re better off going to the city for much better fine dining at a cheaper price. There was nothing special about the chewy skirt steak or the side plate of esparagus. In all my three times that I was invited to come there by three separate people, the place was never packed or even full. One thing they have going for them(in my opinion) are the rockhard, tattood singers. But even those tend to include some pop repertoire in the mix.

Le Bouchon is a restaurant with French name and Russian speaking stuffers, manager, servers and musicians. I was invited on August 20, 2011 to my friend 60 year jubilee party. The room where party took place was too tight and small for number of guests invited. I could hardly squeeze myself between guests chairs and the wall in order to reach my seat. I literally rubbed my suit between the wall and chairs, sucked my belly in, and asked elder people to budge their chair in order to go to my seat. Eventually restaurant manager should not have accepted the contract for so many people for such a small room and should have denied party order for that number of guests, but greed, probably, took over. The number of plates for the given meal served was too few for the given number of guests. Almost for every meal and entrée I wanted, I needed to ask other people for help, so they would pass the plate to my wife and me, and then pass the plate back. For instance crab cake was served as a single cutlet for numerous people and each guest needed to chip a tiny piece in order to try it. It’s ridiculous. Servers appeared only in the beginning of party or only at the time when they bring new meal and then you could not see them again. When iced water finished in our jug, I literally needed to get out of the table, go to the kitchen, and find the server to bring us water. In whole the food quality on my wife estimate was good, but on my point of view it was below the average. There is no good dancing place in Le Bouchon. The space where all guests danced including me and my wife was a narrow strip outside of our party room and located between band stage and other customer tables in a hallway. The space was too snug and dense. Servers walked thru dancing people with the meals back and forth, and one server inadvertently pushed my wife while we danced. And that was not his fault, but because the place was too tight. The band played in the beginning boring not popular songs, but they started to play popular and well known songs only at very late time and at the end of the party. I cannot understand why that difference. I personally would consider Le Bouchon more for family dining or dining for two rather than for big party crowd.

Eh, not so much. Had an atrocious valentine’s day dinner here. We had to wait a long time for the appetizers — they complete forgot about us — our waiter came up to us after a long while to ask if we are waiting for the entrees. Nope… Still waiting for the appetizers… The wait for the entrees was long as well. Granted they were busy, but its not a huge place! Not only was the food mediocre, but I ended up getting sick(and skipipng work the next day!) from my seared tuna entrée(my date was fine, and that’s the only thing she didn’t try). For desert, they brought us chocolate cake instead of the tiramisus we’ve ordered — we didn’t bother correcting them, since we overheard them telling another couple, 10 minutes prior, that they were all out of tiramisu. Would’ve been nice if they told us instead of just substituting and charging us for it. The manager(owner?) did come by to ask how we were doing at the end of the meal, I told him«great!», since I don’t feel like complaining nor do I feel like its my job to tell him what he should already know. I just find it easier not to come back.

This place has a lot of old, for New. Its a small spot, but rightly so, you dont need to be huge, to get the point across. The food was pretty good, a wide range in the menu, nothing super memorable, but I didnt hate it. The place itself has a lot of old charm, with woods, brass, and vintage wines. I dont know if I would go out of my way to go there, but I cant say it was a bad experience. Just different, yes thats the word, different! Make sure you have a credit line, this place is not cheap,
