Very good food, and we were lucky to have a good waiter. Food is better when ordered a la cart rather than banquet menu from my experience. Music is ok, nothing special. Really liked rib eye stake, tuna tar tar and fried whole fish (forgot the name) as well as fried potatoes with mushrooms.

This place is a lot of fun to go to. OMG sooo much tasty food. I love the family style options. I came here for my friend’s 30^th and they really hooked us up hard core. I love that there’s a live band playing a variety of songs. The service is a bit slow, but that i believe is part of idea of being in a place like this. Also, it’s BYOB. I would come back here for another food baby.

The atmosphere is very well lit, so no candle light fanciful dinner here. The food is absolutely delicious. From appetizer to the last bite, we had no complaints in that department. I would recommend everyone try this resturant.

Went here for a birthday celebration last night and was very very disappointed after hearing so many great reviews. The service was terrible, very unattentive waiters, had to ask them to bring something a minimum of 3 times. The food was mediocre at best, a few of the dishes came with a missing side dish. Overall a very disappointing dining experience.

Great food! Smoked sea bass was delicious. If you like liver patte, they have it. Scallops are huge! Other great dishes that are AMAZING.

All I can say is that this place is awesome. I love the setup of how the food comes out and they put it right on your plate if you wanna try it. This is what I call «true white glove service. My family of 30 came here for my nephews 1^st birthday. I tried the greek salad, raw tuna, lax, lamb chops and the chicken kabobs. All were awesome! I chose to have some red wine with my meal. On to the dessert: they brought out a sampler of a few different slices of cake for the middle of the table for everyone to have a piece. Delicious! If it wasn’t 3 hours away from my house, id come here all the time. Also, the owner is known for having the best food in NY for many years. I highly recommend this for a small or large party.

Ok so on May 10^th, 2014 my cousin had a batmitzha party for her daughter. I arrived with my 6 month old son, as some of my relatives as well as random guests at the restaurant were in my babys face saying how cute he is. My son began crying hysterically bcuz it was way too much going on for him. This was his first time having so many ppl in his face so such a reaction from a baby was expected. In the process of calming my son down the manger comes up to me and ask me «can you do something to make it stop?» I didnt know how to respond to such stupidity so i left.
P.S i have never heard of anyone saying such before. I couldn’t believe he asked me to shut my son up as if I wanted him to cry. This was beyond anything i have ever heard. That night my cousin ended up bringing me a plat of food to my house which included pasta with crab the pasta was dry and the crab was overcooked. My sister who stayed at the party didnt have anything awsome to say about the food and it was there $ 150 per person banquet, so it was a variety of food.

I love this place. Tried a lot of restraunts in brooklyn but this is my favourite. The food is really delicious, service is on the top level. Recently i did a party for my sister. Everything was so great. The next party i definitely will do here.

Attended an engagement party here this past weekend and it was a great time. The food was plentiful and delicious, live music, and great service. The smoked salmon was good, the pork dish was very tender and melts in your mouth, the tuna tartar was really fresh. The shrimp dishes were very tasty as well. Overally there wasn’t any dish that i didn’t enjoy, it was really great. The servers were very attentive, cleared my plate at least 3−4x and refilled drinks often. The best part of this place is the live music! there were two people that sang and played upbeat songs that got the place dancing and hopping around. The venue is pretty small for a party, we had about 50 ppl and it was tight. That was only half the room downstairs so at most you could probably fit 80 – 90 people comfortably.
minus one star for them setting up a party while the party we were attending was still going, kind of tacky. Also Parking in this area is a bit tough, there’s only street parking available no valet service.

My friend celebrated her daughter’s 1^st birthday here on Sunday and it was amazing! The space is great and they had nice chandeliers which I really loved. I’m into anything shiny! I was a bit concerned about the food just because I’m not really a fan of Russian food but I was blown away by the food here. I’m not sure how this place works if you are dining as a regular guest and not for a party but everything I tried was delicious! My favorites were the tuna tartar, shrimp pasta, puff pastry filled with cheese and the absolute winner were the lamb chops! The servers here are great! There was no waiting for them to come around. They made frequent rounds and accommodating to every request. My glass was always full and the plates cleared away and replaced with a new one after every course. I cannot wait to return to this place.

Came here on Thanksgiving around noon, so there was only one other table occupied. When we walked in, we were confused because there was a group of waiters in the hallway but none of them acknowledged me, my mom, or my dad. I even had to ask, «This is a restaurant right?» to get their attention. When we walked in, I had to wave down another waiter who avoided my eye contact, then said «Sit anywhere,» and went about talking to his waiter friend.
I was about to leave then and there because of the cold welcome, but didn’t want to risk looking for another place that was open on thanksgiving.
Unilocal had plenty of great pictures of the food which helped my mom choose. I got the lamb chops, my dad got the salmon, and mom got the penne ala vodka with shrimp. The lamb chops were really good. Succulent, nicely herbed, and with that charred flavor; I was loving it. My dad’s salmon was very bland in contrast. The penne ala vodka however was packed with flavor: creamy, flavorful, and a hint of spice. The shrimp it came with was also huge.
If only the service was more welcoming, I wouldn’t have left with such a bad taste in my mouth. I even left a good tip because I felt bad they were working on Thanksgiving, but they didn’t even acknowledge us when we were leaving.
I’ll chalk up the terrible attitudes to having to work on Thanksgiving. It really did put a damper to the rest of the meal and the day.

I am so grateful to Château de Alik for making my mom’s 50^th birthday celebration a smashing good time! It can sometimes be hit or miss with these Russian restos, but this place did not disappoint and left us with fun memories to recall for years to come. 5 stars all around: the never-​ending supply of scrumptious French-​Russian fusion food; the excellent attentive service; the amazing singers (really, like Mariah Carey in the 90’s level of singing by the woman; and the dude was energetic and a good singer too); and cute location (not Brighton, which is fine by me!). We went on a Friday which ended up being a godsend, since there was only one other large table so we all had elbow room to dance. Our clueless-​to-​Russian-​feasts American guests were raving as well ;) Big Success — merci beaucoup and spasibo Château de Alik!

Celebrated my mothers 50^th birthday here and had an absolutely amazing time! Certainly deserving of its rating.
The food is TO DIE FOR. Our banquet pretty much had everything from the menu so its safe to safe that I can vouch for their amazing food. The steak was juicy, the salmon was tender, and the foie gras melted right in my mouth. Presentation of the food is also spectacular.
The service is also amazing. Not sure if it was because we were having a party, but the waiters catered to all our needs and placed food on our plates for us. They were very fast and efficient.
As for the music, their singers have the voices of angels. I don’t know what they’re doing singing at a local restaurant when they can easily be making tons of money, but I’m glad I got a front row show!

Went here a few weeks ago with some coworkers on a Friday night and had a great time. If you go past 8pm, be advised that it WILL get rowdy, but in a good way. Also be advised that if you are on a date or looking for a quiet place, you might want to look for another option, or come much earlier. Once the live entertainment starts up, it’s a lot of fun with the customers singing along, people dancing, clapping, etc.
In addition to the lively entertainment, the food is fantastic! We ordered a variety of dishes to share. We had so much food and every bit of it was top notch, but in particular, the lamb chops and fried chanterelle mushrooms were quite memorable.
The décor is more on the upscale side, and everyone speaks Russian (however, they speak English, too). The service is extremely attentive, and Alik even came by to check on us several times. If you want a fun experience with excellent food, this is a great choice. And the more people you have in your group, the more fun it will be.

Amazing! My wife threw me a surprise birthday here after hearing how much I wanted to try it. It was a Wednesday night so there wasn’t any music which I didn’t mind. The food was unbelievably good. The eel, the steak — everything was perfection. I’d eat and recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat. It isn’t the cheapest but it is the best food in Brooklyn. Heck I think it’s better than any city restaurant I’ve eaten at.

Went last night for last minute dinner with my hubby. I have stopped going to Russian places because it seems that they all became gross at once.
I really liked the food, we ordered salad with veggies and sour cream and shared a fish for main dish. All items were great, portion was huge.
Now the service needs to be upped a bit, while the guy was taking our order some customers were leaving so he stops talking to us mid-​sentence and starts telling them goodbye. Ahhh, hello what am I chopped leaver, that so so rude and it took very long to get the fish. I would come back though but only for casual, the place is small I can only imagine how loud it gets when music is on.

This over the top Russian restaurant is like an event in itself. The gold bordered paintings of dramatic scenes. The long tables…
And really I came here for an event so I can’t necessarily comment on the actual restaurant experience.
They have seafood in leaps and bounds. The lobster is good. The raw selections are fresh and delicious. Their salad covered in goat cheese is awesome. The eggplant parm type dish is excellent. The Russian french fries (home fries with mushrooms) are excellent. The lamb is tasty.
Vodka is flowing abundantly here.
There was a stage and then the lights dimmed and there was a show. Where two lovely ladies and a gentleman sang their hearts out to a random mix of songs. I just wish they’d cut the ballads out (not very dance worthy). But I do commend them for trying to sing along to Gang-​Nam Style. ;)
Got nothing bad to say about these guys.
