After dinner my friend suggested we check out this place. Even though they were closing in 30 minutes we were welcomed. The staff was very friendly and chatty. This place looks very cute they have fairly large seating area including outdoor seating. Their window service is open until 10:30 inside seating until 9:30. They have a great selection of gelato and other delicatessen. My friend and I ordered some gelato and it was quite tasty. I don’t have a sweet tooth so to me hazelnut(dairy free) seems a bit too sweet. Over all it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it. It also looks kids friendly because I saw a nice selection of kids color books.

First ice cream(or gelato) spot I visit where the employees smile when giving you samples to try! I was being a little spontaneous and decided to try the organic butter and salt flavor. Definitely one to test out first, but I didn’t have to try anymore because this flavor was delicious. I’m glad they have a kids size(other cups are fairly small) but I can openly consume a small amount of ice cream. Reminds me of my most favorite ice cream(gelato) spot in the LES. I would most certainly return to this Park Slope gem and do recommend!

If you’re ever in town, you have to check this place out. They have the best flavors for sorbet– I have to say some flavors are pretty interesting. I’ve seen ricotta flavor, lemongrass, olive oil… I want to know who is coming up with these crazy flavors?! But I only tried the non-dairy flavors which were all the fruity ones. I ordered the raspberry hibiscus and strawberry and they were both so sweet and so refreshing. It was the perfect treat for a hot day. The line was pretty long and there is no seating inside but it was worth it. It’s a grab and go type of place. I would highly recommend!

I actually found out about this place when I was in Las Vegas when they were there for a trade show. One of the most interesting flavors they had was the salmon flavored gelato. At first, I was hesitant to taste it but it was surprisingly delicious! I made it a mission to come visit their store in Brooklyn to see if I can once again reunite with that salmon gelato but it wasn’t available. Maybe one day we’ll meet again…

Oh, this gelato. It’s divine. The chocolate, hazelnut, olive oil, pistachio. I could go on. It’s up there with sex and shoe shopping in terms of satisfaction. And… wait for it… they deliver.

An amazing place in the heart of Park Slope where the food is studied. The owners Alessandro and Monia are slow food spokesmen and know the source of all their ingredients. Their menu changes seasonally and their gelato has always a special which is delicious. I love the edible flower, calendula and savory ones. This place is great for breakfast, lunch or even happy hour with their wide selection of wines and beers. Don’t get fooled by thinking that they only have gelato, and that being italian they will have no alternatives. This place has gluten, vegan, vegetarian, and dairy free options. In the warmer weather you can enjoy the back garden. Being in park slope this place us super children friendly. If you haven’t been there go now, you won’t regret it.

We had the door opened for us and were greeted(by the owner?). Friendliest service ever and the gelato was amazing. I had the pistachio and my friend had the chocolate. Hubby had the hot chocolate which was the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted. I would totally be a regular if I lived in Brooklyn.

If you want real gelato, no I mean the gelato that you get in Italy, then you have to try this place. Here, you will not get freezer burned gelato, hard gelato, or sickly sweet gelato. Here, you will get quality balanced ingredients that give you a glimpse of what real gelato needs to taste like. They even have savory gelato, and it’s actually delicious. If you try their amazing cheese platter, it comes with savory gelato. Don’t be scared to try it, because it’s nothing like you would imagine. You can take your gelato to go in their takeout window, or you can grab a chair by the communal table at the back and enjoy a relaxing meal. The owners are very nice Italian guys, and they are always there to ensure quality. I cannot recommend this place enough, and it is the only place where I will eat gelato in Brooklyn.

Farm Fresh and delicious. The coffee was excellent. The mushroom Gouda frittata was fantastic. It came with a fresh salad and a delicious piece of toast and Brie. The service was excellent. They were very friendly and attentive. The place is really clean and quaint.

Everything is sourced from small local producers! The staff here is so kind! They really doted on our lil Zoe. She couldn’t eat the Gelato but she certainly liked the hold the spoons! The Flavors are great, we tried a few Ricotta(Lemon and Almond) and Goat cheese ones, Pistachio, Coffee, they were all delicious! I like how they make flavors that differ from the«norm». You can’t go wrong here. Plus they look like they have a LOT of delicious lunch items, next time!

While everyone else in the city is getting pumped about all things pumpkin… this gal is visiting gelato joints and ordering up other fantastical fall flavors. Flavors like Chocolate Hazelnut — which was a little bit more chocolate than hazelnut but was so rich and nutty it’s still a solid option. Or what about Ricotta Cinnamon — super smooth with just the right amount of spice and warmth. For me, both of these options are the perfect flavors for a warm fall evening. A few other items of note: The staff at L’Albero is super friendly and offered up a sample of gelato before we put in our final orders. Sizes vary slightly: kiddie cup /1 flavor /$ 4.50, small cup /2 flavors /$ 5.50, large cup /3 flavors /$ 7.50 and the only option for payment is cash. Next door to the gelato window is a full restaurant/café with sandwiches and such. It’s a beautiful shop with a organic vibe — planters on each wood table, a hand painted menu and quotes, light fixtures and details made from recycled materials. And if the bench out front of the gelato window is taken there are plenty of tables inside to sit and enjoy your dessert.

This is the most adorable place in Brooklyn that I’ve been to so far! The staff is always very welcoming and patient while we sample everything. After changing our minds a million times, we finally settled on our flavors. Their mint is refreshing and delicious. I would stay away from the lemon — that is seriously strong LOL. I always love anything coffee flavored so they have me hooked. I still think the gelato in Philadelphia is better, but this place is adorable. We walked inside and were amazed at the additional rooms for seating. They decorated this place into a garden solace — so pretty and charming. They also sell cheese, wine and food which I have yet to try.

I’m a gelato novice so I won’t pretend to be an expert. But I am an expert in things that are yummy, sweet, and that make me want to slap somebody for interrupting me while I’m enjoying it. All that applies here. The strawberry gelato was divine. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did since I tend to lean towards more chocolate, caramel and salty flavors, but that strawberry was delicious! The chocolate was equally lovely; it didn’t take me by surprise like the strawberry did so I’m putting the strawberry at a higher ranking. I also enjoyed the salty caramel flavor although not nearly as much as I thought I would. I went with a friend who is more knowledgeable and a bigger gelato aficionado than I and he too was impressed with the quality of the gelato here. For the sizable portions and superior taste, we both felt the prices were fair. We went later in the evening on a weeknight and ordered from the walk up window. Then we sat in the park across the street to eat our sweet treats. On a hot summer night, the gelato made it, «a lovely, perfectly Brooklyn night» according to my friend. I couldn’t agree more. And isn’t that really what any good dessert or meal is supposed to do? Make an already lovely night just — perfect.

You’ll be able to find this place by the walk up window that always has a line. They have all the basic gelato flavors, plus some more experiment ones. The rose petal gelato was probably my favorite. Not exactly cheap, but it’s Park Slope.

I’ve only had gelato here so I can’t attest to the food but the gelato is awesome. They always have changing flavors which I like. Also, although they’re a bit price they give pretty good sized portions w The most interesting thing about this place is the savory gelato. It’s something I’ve never seen before. They have flavors like saffron, and basil. I tried the goat cheese chocolate the other day and it was awesome. It kind of had the essence of goat cheese without being overpowering with chunks of dark chocolate(my fav). Def check this spot out if you’re in the mood for gelato. But be warned, lines can be long sometimes & they’re cash only at the ice cream bar

As many others have stated, the gelato here is incredible. The flavors and the texture are simply superlative. You will find unusual options, both sweet and savory, and unorthodox flavor combinations. The best part is that you can try a bunch of them before committing. It can be a bit overwhelming because everything looks so good and there will definitely be stuff there you’ve never seen or tried before. The only thing keeping this place from a 5-star rating is their pricing. It’s kind of ridiculous. I understand they are«farm to table,» organic, source-conscious, and are in a relatively prime Park Slope location, etc., but there are limits. I stopped by the other night with my mom who was visiting from out of town and we got a small cup(one scoop) and a medium cup(2 scoops). The total was over $ 12. The look on her face when the cashier rang us up was priceless. Nevertheless, we forked over the money and happily scarfed down our gelato. I hadn’t been there in a while, but now I remember why. It’s delicious and definitely a must-try, but for me, nothing more than an occasional treat. Buyers beware: Once you taste the gelato, you will want to eat it every day.

After trekking around Brooklyn all day, my husband and I wanted a place to rest and have a little treat. I liked the fact that they had a lot of savory gelato flavors here, so we decided to stop in. The space is cozy and rustic with a narrow hallway with little wooden tables and lots of recycled objects used as decorations. A large chalkboard displays the menu with the exception of the gelato flavors, which also aren’t on the paper menu since they change often. I thought it was a little strange that you have to ask for that menu separately when that seems to be the main attraction though. When we entered, this place was packed! There were hoards of screaming children probably due to the fact that there is a park across the street. They were jumping in their chairs and running around, and it was oh so loud. This isn’t the restaurant’s fault, but it is something to keep in mind if you are there to relax or enjoy conversation. I almost left at that point, but I was so tired and thirsty and didn’t want to search for another place. We were soon brought a bottle of water for the table. The servers told us that gelato samples were available. I sampled the butter and salt and the truffle. The truffle was a little overpowering and I wasn’t a fan. The butter and salt was nice and savory, so I went with that and the cinnamon ricotta. My husband ordered the goat milk and pistachio. They brought them out pretty quickly after we ordered. I enjoyed the cinnamon and ricotta better than the butter and salt due to the weird texture of the butter and salt. It wasn’t smooth and had little pieces of butter in it. I didn’t notice the texture in the sample so much, but after a few bites I wasn’t feeling it. The ricotta and cinnamon was slightly sweet and creamy. I thought the best one was the pistachio that my husband ordered. It was good gelato, but certainly not the best, and the price point was a little crazy. It was $ 7.50 for two small scoops which seemed to be the smallest portion available. It is NYC though. I would come back if I was in the area, but I wouldn’t seek it out.

I am lactose intolerant so I ordered the dairy free chocolate. My family members ordered regular Gelati: chocolate, and gianduia. In my Opinion, the dairy free chocolate tasted as if it was from a regular pizza place just worse. I tried the non-dairy free options so I would not have a biased opinion. The chocolate was overwhelming but not terrible. The gianduia(hope I am Spelling this correctly) was better than the chocolate. I can tell they use good quality milk. The décor is very beautiful. Please note: if you want to order from the window outside, it’s cash only. I wish they accepted cash from outside.
