Lousy food, drunken fools fighting, cheap women looking to make a buck off of the drunk men. Id give this place negative stars and have it shut down for lack of cleanliness (has a «C» rating on window) and illegal immigrants that are always in there!

La Mixteca is half restaurant, Mexican grocery and half bar. Equipped with a couple of Tv’s that usually run soccer games or movies in Spanish with English subs. A Juke Box with a Spanish only playlist. The atmosphere is okay to say the least. I myself being Puerto Rican was still able to enjoy a couple of cold coronas with my Mexican counterparts. From time to time you will occasionally see people stumble out of here. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Beers will run you around $ 2.50. Only beef with places like this they usually have some sort of staff to frisk clientele. Which I think they should start implementing as I’ve heard some stories.
In any case it’s a chilled spot with cheap drinks and good authentic Mexican food.

Feel compelled to write this review… been ordering take out for months and this place is the real deal. Authentic Mexican using fresh ingredients… what more can you ask for?
