Never eaten food here but people seem happy about the front of house activities. Sadly, they keep filthy open trash cans and 2 huge dumpsters one without a lid. They need to resolve this before the summer heat. And rats have been seen scattering around. They do nothing but hose down the filth into the sidewalk. And then it stagnates in the gutter. Bleck. Anyway. Fix that dumpster! Have an oyster.

I can’t believe this place is still open. I just had the most unbelievably unprofessional service. Ordered lobster sandwich and was served crab cakes… when I brought it to the bartenders attention she said«you want me to do somethin’ about it? I know those crab cakes taste good.» Also ordered raw oysters, which were good but had to ask for a fork, and then a napkin, and then crackers which I never got. The employees were too busy complaining amongst themselves about the customers on the patio and watching TV. I never rate a place on service, because it’s about the food, right? But this was exceptional.

This is my 3rd time in the past year that I had dinner here. The 1st time last summer I had no complaints. The food was delicious and they had this blueberry drink that was soooo good. Went back earlier this year and the food was still good but the drinks were horrible. I ordered the blueberry drink again and it didn’t look or taste the way I remembered. The service was a little slow but they made up for it by taking the drinks off the bill. Now the reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the service was absolutely horrendous and I will not be returning. The waiter was new but he is not the reason for the bad review. We(2 of us) drank a whole pitcher of sangria while waiting for our appetizers. We asked twice and they kept saying they’re backed up in the kitchen. They weren’t busy inside and outside was full but not were it would take over an hour for nachos. When the nachos where thrown down in front of us the girls was rude about it(she was not our original server). No dishes or napkins were given. The original waiter was told not to return to our table. The manager came over to the table and asked if we wanted to order more food. We didn’t want to order more food but would’ve had another round of drinks and maybe dessert. Instead he brought us the check. The check was only $ 48 because we waited so long that we didn’t feel like eating anymore plus the manager took 5% off the bill. I gave $ 60, he took the check and we never saw him again. Normally someone would bring change back but nope I guess he felt he should keep the change. I was leaving the change for the new waiter but it seems like someone else kept it. We gave up and just walked out. As we were waiting for über the original waiter came out and asked if we paid the bill. The rude girl that served us the nachos told him to go get us because she doesn’t think we paid. The whole situation was a horror. First you don’t bring me back my change, then you accuse me of not paying. 3 strikes you’re out.

Really nice atmosphere with the outdoor seating. Mimosas were 4 bucks which is awesome, probably was within the service. Took forever to get each drink even though it’s not super busy. Also hearing a lot of server/waitress’s drama and arguments directly in front of us, never good for business. Keep the dirty launch where it belongs in my opinion.

Service was very poor. Asked for plates and spoons to share the aptz. and they never came. The food was alright but nothing too great.

I like that this place has outdoor seating and $ 1 oysters and $ 4 beer/wine on a Saturday. However, service was a mess and the food was unfortunately subpar. The oysters were fine. We ordered a couple drinks and they came late… half way through our oysters. I had the lobster roll with fries and it was just ok. I didn’t even finish it; the lobster had no flavor. It was pretty disappointing. The fries were good, though. The weirdest part was our waiter was a solid 12 years old and it was uncomfortable. It was just bad service and not a place I would go back to any time soon… except maybe for the oysters.

We walked past this place on our way to the movies in Cobble Hill. it was chock full of people so we thought, «looks good, let’s check it out for dinner after the movie!» Bad idea. So we arrived at 7:15 and were promptly seated. At 7:35, we finally had someone notice us and give us water. At 7:40, menus. 7:45, drinks. Happy hour ended at 8, and no one checked on us before then, so one drink it was. Finally got our food at 8:10. All this while we watched other tables getting their second rounds, food, etc. Our orders were not complicated, everything off the menu. One beer, one glass of wine. Server never checked on us. Literally had to ask twice for the bill and then chase them down to take my credit card. I blame management here. The staff looks completely confused and untrained. No areas to cover or duties, just constantly having to monitor the entire restaurant. It also looks like it’s short about two waiters on a Saturday night with a happy hour. I’m amazed this place has been open since 2012. It looks like the more recent reviews are the worst. I look forward to our newest Chase bank location in the near future.

Let’s be real: Kittery is great for hitting your seafood cravings. I often order their lobster on seamless and it always hits the spot. They deliver quickly, are super friendly, and the food is always what I expect it to be. The side that comes with it(brussels sprouts) is alright, but no one hits up a seafood joint for the brussels sprouts anyway. Highly recommend if you live in the area and are jonesing for some seafood treats. There’s a good range of options here. Though I will say the lobster roll features a bun that is kind of dry and not so sumptuous and buttery. However, I don’t know what I’d do without Kittery in the ‘hood.

Beware. I always get tricked because of the patio space and the good happy hour deals. Everytime I never get my food right and it takes forever. I’m one hour in and I still didn’t get my food. Apps. Dinner. Nothing. I had to get up and ask for my wine. Do yourself a favor. Try somewhere else where the kitchen can keep up with the clientele. Ps. It’s only half full here. At the end, they were going to take some items off our bill because of the terrible service, but ended up not, because instead they gave us an extra app(that came out on accident) too tired and annoyed to argue. By the way, this happens EVERYTIME I come here. Strongly recommend staying away.

I’ve been here a few times in the past and I was pleased, but today. My waiter, I believe his name is Damien was very friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival I asked a waiter if the seafood combo was still available because I did not see it on the menu. She said«yes it comes with scallops, shrimp, calamari and a lot of other things.» I was delighted to learn my favorite menu option was still an option. When it arrived I quickly noticed that what I thought would be an entrée that included sides was an appetizer portion. I asked my waiter Damien about it and he politely checked with the kitchen. When he returned he said they no longer made the seafood combo, but if I didn’t like it he would take it off my bill. I tried to eat it, but I was expecting various seafood and I had a plate of mostly calamari. Damien took it off my bill, no questions asked. As a replacement I ordered the crab cake appetizer, which says $ 13 on the menu, but we were charged $ 15. Although the staff was friendly it seemed that nobody knew what was happening. Throughout the evening I noticed many meals being delivered to the wrong tables and a lot of confusion. Please bring the old menu back!

In this neighborhood, like most, restaurants are more than just places to conduct business. They’re part of the neighborhood. By that theory, this guy is a terrible neighbor who doesn’t give a poop emoji about his neighbors. In the summer, the corner stinks like fish guts because they overflow the dumpsters & dump water out on the street. And in the winter, they don’t shovel the sidewalk. It’s common decency(and also the law) to shovel & salt your walkway. The street outside Kittery, Diego, Union Café or whatever the hell the owner has installed is ALWAYS a slushy ice tundra. People like that don’t deserve our business.

I will be honest. I will be nice. I will keep this short. One star because the heat was booming on a –45 degree day. Another star because my gin and tonic was 85% gin and 15% tonic. The other stars are missing because 1. The service sucked. There were about 7 ppl. in this restaurant and it took our waitress about 15 minutes to say«hello, it’s me» in her best Adele voice. 2. The food was less than mediocre. It was tasteless and I didn’t feel any love in it whatsoever. 3. I don’t even think I have a third point to make tbh.

I really wanted to like this place a lot. Atmosphere would get 5 stars, but the food just didn’t cut it. I ordered the corn and lobster chowder in a bread bowl… It seemed like the lobster pieces were just thrown in on top with some carrots rather than all stewed together. Old bay seasoned fries were good. Happy hour shrimp was good but oysters were subpar. My coworker order the branzino and said it was too salty. I probably wouldn’t come back here.

I live in the neighborhood and decided to give the restaurant a try on Labor Day(so yes, admittedly things may have been in holiday mode). The host was really outgoing and welcoming, and I was quickly seated at a seat of my choosing. My server was nice enough, but seemed to not know the menu or a lot about the entrees when I and other customers asked him(«I believe that fish is a bit like a bass» and my favorite«We have grilled octopus, and it kind of tastes like chicken.»). I only drink a wheat or Belgian type beer, and the restaurant offered only lagers, pilsners etc. but no wheat option like Blue Moon or Shock Top. With that said, my food was really great. It was fresh, came in large portions and was reasonable. Will I go back again? Sure. It’s right around the corner. I hope to have a better experience next time, but this was not a bad beginning.

Four star review for happy hour(which is 5 – 8 Monday through Friday and 4−6pm Saturday & Sunday)! The service is always so friendly, and — unlike my past brunch experiences, which have increasingly become just so so(which is unfortunate! because I like them so much) — happy hour has never disappointed. That is all.

This is the perfect place for seafood lovers. I come here whenever my boyfriend and I want to stay local and want a good bite to eat. The place: great space with indoor and outdoor seating. The food: Delish. Everything is seasoned to perfection. I’ve had their beef and pineapple skewers with pesto sauce, shrimp and chips, and the scallop entrée — not all in the same sitting . The service: always great. Friendly staff that always gives great suggestions. Go here now. It’s a cool date spot.

Took my Brooklyn-based son here for dinner on a nice Saturday night because it was quite convenient. We sat outside, which was quite comfortable, and also because the inside was packed. While it did take forever to get our drinks, the waitress was as nice and sweet as could be and apologized for the wait. Our drinks were very good I ordered the lobster salad roll which came with cole slaw(maybe fries, too, can’t remember). My son ordered fried clams, which came with the same sides. The portions, by my New England standards for such menu items, were quite small. Not exactly micro-gastronomic, just not as much food as one would expect. New England portions of both these dishes are normally huge. Both entrees were good. Not fabulous and certainly not as good as one would dine on in actual KITTERY, Maine, but still good. I would have given four stars if the portions were larger and am not taking any off for the long wait because after all, it WAS Saturday night, and it WAS New York. Not a bad place to dine over all. Not sure if I would go back, but I might.

Kittery NY Brooklyn Cobble Hill 9pm Friday 22nd May 2015 Four Stars They have a nice patio for the slightly chilly evening. I had the Lobster Cobb $ 22 which came out really fast. There was plenty of sweet lobster claw meat. The mixed greens and tomatoes were fresh. The thick salty pork Lardons were delicious. There was very little blue cheese. The dressing was a light vinaigrette. The avocado was good. Overall the food was good. The service was spectacular and reason for this four star review.

The Maine-i-est parts are the license plates. Food? Not so much. Dove into Kittery on one of February 2015’s bone-chilling Sundays hoping for a taste of clam shack summer. Ordered the whole belly clam dish, a plate which when done well(Evelyn’s, Tiverton RI; Quito’s, Bristol, RI; Neptune Oyster, Boston MA) can be a heavenly mélange of succulent sweet clam belly and crispy light batter. Kittery’s offering failed. Clams, which were served with kettle-cut potato chips, were heavy, and somewhat cloying in nature. Took a measure of willpower to finish the dish while jealously eyeing my friends’ seafood risotto(which looked excellent). Didn’t get around to ordering the extra spicy, extra bloody, seafood bloody mary, which despite its ~$ 18 pricetag seemed promising. Too bad I’ll never have the chance. On the bright side, no GI symptoms afterwards, so there’s that.
