I moved to Crown Heights in June and this was the closest dry cleaners so I gave them a shot. The first time I came in, it was early in the morning before work so when I was dropping my clothes off and learned that shirts were $ 5 each I had no choice but to swallow my sticker shock and deal with the monthly budget ramifications later. Since that initial encounter, I’ve tried other dry cleaners in Crown Heights(because price is always a concern for me) and while many charge less, none of them have done as good a job. If I drop my clothes off in the morning, I have always been able to pick them up by the next evening, which is great for someone like me who waits until he’s down to about 1 or 2 shirts/outfits before going to the cleaners. In addition, the quality of the work is terrific. I primarily get dress shirts done here and can get 2 – 3 wears out of the shirts before they look in need of an iron. I think this is great considering I usually go to the gym after work and just fold up my dress shirt in my gym bag. The one complaint I would have is that the hours can be inconvenient. You almost have to drop clothes off/pick them up in the morning because a 7PM closing time isn’t great if you have the type of job that may require you to work later some evenings. And, I guess it is a bit pricey(as a relative dry clean novice, I may be wrong), but the quality of service makes up for that.
