I come here once a week for years to purchase chicken for the weekly family dinner. The cashier and the staff is always friendly and helpful. It does smell a little bit, but that is to be expected. The waiting area is always clean and full of other friendly customers to chat with. They are very fast and efficient; you get your poultry promptly. Important note, the poultry here is a fresh and healthy. I have gone to other poultry stores and you can tell that their poultry are not healthy and stressed(which imo affects the taste of the poultry). I have passed by in the morning and seen the fresh live poultry being delivered so you know you are getting fresh product, not something that has been sitting in a cage for a long time.

Whenever I need fresh poultry this is my go place the stores receives fresh poultry everyday I know that for a fact ’cause I pass by every morning on my way to work so you know you having fresh chickens. You don’t have to wait that long for your order to be ready the longest I have waited is 15 min. Also I got FREE eggs with my purchase first time I went I spend $ 20 and they gave me a dozen and I didn’t even know. What I like about this place is that you pay for the chicken but you don’t get extra charge for cleaning and cutting the chicken that way you want it all of that is for FREE! There’s NO extra charge. Staff is friendly always paying attention to what you need also they will tell you which kind of chicken to get for what you want to cook. The cashiers are always smiling and respectful. I definitely recommend this place whenever you need some fresh poultry.

I wish I didnt have to walk by this place every day. It smells from 2 blocks away in the winter, not looking forward to how much worse it gets in the summer.

This place initially intrigued me, as other live poultry places have, but after a look inside I couldn’t help but think, how are they getting away with such blatant cruelty and horrendous facilities. Outside was a dumpster that was full of feathers and blood, with no regard to trash bags or even closing the lid. Who knows how much this contributes to the rodents in the area, despite the smell. Inside you will find many cages with very distraught birds. This is probably a good time to mention that I am not some kind of vegan out to save every animal. I eat meat and especially appreciate when it’s been well taken care during its life. It is a fact that animals in less stressful environments create tastier food… nevermind the ethical concerns. Anyway, despite my rant, the conditions and quality of birds here are horrible. I took numerous photos. In some cases nearly all of the feathers were gone from the birds. You can see that they are very stressed and probably not safe to eat, as they look physically ill. If you have a sensitive stomach, you might take caution when entering. I feel so strongly about this place I am going to put a call into the health department… good riddance.
