The first meal I had here was the worst dining-​out experience of my life. The food was actually okay, but completely overshadowed by the absolutely terrible service. Then we went back a few months later to try brunch, also ok food also terrible service, and I remember ordering a $ 5 iced coffee that was just hot coffee poured over ice, which therefore melted resulting in watery, over-​priced coffee. This was all awhile ago, and I hate to write bad reviews, maybe they’ve gotten better???

I don’t even know where to begin.
The waitress was perfectly friendly to start off with, and I WANTED to like her, but she took forever to take our order (despite the fact that there were only 2 other tables) and then she forgot my coffee. and I really love my coffee…
When I politely reminded her, she acted annoyed and didn’t apologize for forgetting it. Then she brought it over without milk or cream or anything, so I had to get her attention again to bring that over, which took her another 10 minutes, by which time my coffee was frozen.
Speaking of frozen, my «eggs florentine» came with a huge pile of pale white limp previously-​frozen «french fries». The food was so bland and tasteless that I was not even aware that my eggs had a slice of ham hidden under the spinach. Seriously, I couldn’t even taste it. That’s not normal! (Besides, doesn’t Eggs Florentine usually have spinach instead of ham, and not both? I could be wrong.)
My poached eggs were runny and undercooked, whereas my date’s «croissant french toast» was burnt to a crisp. Charred. We jokingly referred to it as «cajun style».
I am a huge lover of brunch, and having worked for years as a waitress, I usually try to find something nice to say about every dining experience.
I’m a pretty easy person to please, in fact. The waitress could be completely wasted and spill hot coffee in my lap and I would most likely shrug it off if the meal was good or she had pretty hair or something…
BUT what with the absolutely disgusting food and lifeless service here, I can’t think of one good thing to say.
Oh, and to top it all off, it was also freezing cold. The manager at one point was actually wearing a coat.
And the walls are painted a really hideous putrid green color, which really adds to the feelings of nausea you’re left with after eating here.
IN CONCLUSION, JUST DON’T GO! STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN!

Cool décor and friendly staff, but it remains to be seen how this place shapes up. I did brunch here recently, and while it was ok, it was really pretty bland food-​wise. (I’d definitely head up to the ‘burg and go to Lodge instead)
That said, the space is done well and the vibe is decent, so this would make a decent «grab a drink» sort of spot, but it remains to be seen if it becomes something more.
