Beautiful store with lovely furniture, home accessories and gifts. I’ve shopped at Journey for eight years and have always found great stuff. The owners, Pam and Billy, are the best. They have a wonderful eye for objects, resulting in an eclectic mix of new and antique items that somehow all work together. Hand painted dishes, glassware, sofas, armoires and large mirrors from India and other places, candles, small tables, antique boxes, benches, art … all invitingly arranged. And Pam will wrap your gifts gratis! Love this place.

For me DUMBO is the essence of all things rustic chic. It’s old factory buildings with sleek interior finishes, it’s an iconic bridge with a brand new park below it, it’s cobble stone streets and unique metal sculptures. It’s an awesome neighborhood. And when it comes to home décor I wouldn’t expect anything besides a store that sold all things rustic chic. We’re talking big beautiful armoires, sofas with clean lines, unique accessories. So many beautiful things at Journey. Careful of the pricing on some of these items… while the big ticket items have a reasonable price tag(sofas were comparable to CB or West Elm) it was the accessories that caught me off guard. Plastic feeling picture frame for $ 28? Are y’all crazy? While I won’t be purchasing any $ 284×6 picture frame, I’m sure others would find the piece perfect for their home. There are a lot of great pieces throughout the store and its worth a visit, happy shopping!

The owners have great taste and have filled the store with unique pieces. Both the furniture and accessories were great. The owners were exceptionally helpful and fun to work with. They even delivered the piece we bought and we love it!

I love this store. I bought 2 Antique wood vases from India here. I am very happy with them. The staff is friendly. I can’t wait to go back.

Nice store and cool stuff but a tad overpriced. Maybe it’s the«move often» nature of New Yorkers — or the cost of retail space — but it seems there’s a dearth of unique furniture purveyors outside of the super fancy joints or C&B-type chain stores. Tweener places like this seem rarer than in other parts of the country I’ve lived — so maybe I’m simply used to more competition.

This is a beautiful store with friendly staff. It’s rather small but the buyer knows how to stock in with great pieces and accessories. The pictures associated with this Unilocal page for Journey are spot on. We just bought a couch there. It was sturdy, classic/modern, with beautiful fabric. We bought one on the spot. Not too expensive after looking for couches at Crate n Barrel and the usual suspects. I recommend a stop in this store if you’re looking for unique pieces. It leans towards Indian inspired furniture. Worth the visit.

Really great stuff — super helpful and friendly staff. Hmmm… not sure what it could be missing. Its one of those places you wish you had checked out earlier. I have a chair that I got from room and board only because I really wanted a good sitting chair but I should have come here first. You end up paying similar prices to a chain but getting something truly unique and interesting.

With the ever increasing prevalence of flat packed dime a dozen furniture stores, it is refreshing to visit a store with real furniture. Every piece in this place is so unique and solid. The owners have wonderful taste and their prices are extremely fair, especially for such one-of-a-kind items. I highly recommend a trip to DUMBO to check the place out for yourself.

The owners at Journey take trips and stuff,(especially to India and far away countries and places like this!) They have the most original pieces and imports from the owners travels. And to top it off they carry the greatest prices. If you can’t get to India or wherever far you Brooklynites, Journey is worth the trip.

OMG! I am in LOVE with this place. She carries just the style of furniture I like… mostly hardwood antique and handcrafted from around the globe and for really reasonable prices… esp considering DUMBO is not known for it’s low prices. There is also a selection of other homeware and lighting fixtures as well as some local artisan stuff like jewelry and handbags.
