This guy was kinda flaky(days and store hours posted were not always when he actually showed up). However, he gave a great haircut and good blow dry. Especially for the price. NOW, he disappeared, they didn’t renew their lease, but does anyone know where he went?

This was the best haircutting experience ever. The salon is small but very nice, great vibe. James is a miracle worker, nuff’ said. The best part though is that when you are done with your hair, instead of paying for the haircut you shop their lovely selection of jewelry, handbags, scarves, and product and make selections that equal the cost of the haircut. The items are unique and of good quality; and they have many options across many price ranges. I got a wash, an awesome haircut, blow out, and left with a new ring, bracelet, and earrings all for $ 55. I would have paid $ 55 just for the haircut alone. Can’t wait to go back. You have got to try this place.

I stopped into this nicely aquatinted salon in a nice area to have my color toned down from a bad experience at a previous salon. James was very friendly and professional. He got the color exactly where I wanted it and walked out a very happy, satisfied customer. The prices are no more than any where else in this city!

James D. gives the best haircuts. I have a long and unruly mane and I always walk out of there looking and feeling great. Plus James is funny and warm and engaging and sweet. Quiet and charming, not pretentious at all. And the haircuts are great.

This place is not worth your time. I went in to try a new stylist, and really wish I hadnt. The guy who runs the place and cuts all hair is nice enough, but he does NOTLISTEN to what you want. I asked for a few inches off, and he said, «so you want a bob?» I kept telling him no, thats not what I wanted, but I dont think he got it. After he cut the back, I told him it felt too short, and again he ignored he, said it wasnt, and just kept cutting. I also told him to leave it long enough so i could put it up, and once again, he dismissed me. He just does not listen to the client. Needless to say I think I now have one of the worst haircuts of my life. It is short and for the first time in years is getting all weird and poufy at the end. What a disaster! My sister’s wedding is next weekend, so Im not really sure what to do, except pray for it to grow out fast. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Like the post before says, plenty of decent salons in the area. Oh, and one more thing at $ 59 for a haircut, total waste of money. You can find someone else in the neighborhood for around $ 45.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at this salon. My husband and I have both gone in several times for haircuts. Always a great experience and good results. I called on a Saturday in a panic after trying to color my own hair with a box color! James told me to come right in and fixed me up in a jiffy. I would recommend this place to anyone. Better prices than the guys right down the street, too!

I’ve had two cuts from James. He did a professional job and got closer to what I wanted when I brought in a picture the second time. He also gave me very subtle highlights, which I had asked for. In fact, next time I will mention not to be so subtle as to not cover a few stray grays.

You have got to be kidding me. Had a wedding pretty early on a Sunday. Called this one man salon three days in advance to make a hair appointment and asked for the earliest appointment they have. They gave me 11AM. I came at 11 only to find the salon closed and the phone busy. I sat on the steps for half an hour while trying to call the number over and over to no avail before finally giving up and going home. I’ve never used this salon before but you can be sure that I’ll never consider stepping foot in here after this experience. It was too late to make other plans so I went to the wedding with messy hair. There are thousands of salons in the area, go anywhere else. This place sucks.

I made an appointment because of the $ 55 deal. Not only did the receptionist call me the day of the appointment to reschedule, the rescheduled appt itself was one of the worst I’ve had. James walked in 10 minutes late, rushed past me without saying hi, and he was still visibly very sick. He sniffled the whole time, wiped his nose with his sleeve and practically sneezed on my hair. The haircut was average, I didn’t ask for anything complicated, but he didn’t even bother to get my name. NOT coming back, not even for the deal.
