IHOP

I had a birthday email coupon for a free stack of rooty tooty fresh n fruity pancakes. I sat down, waited a little long to order, but gauging the amount of tables each server had, it was understandable. I was very surprised when all the servers sang me Happy Birthday. The free stack price i tipped the staff with. They were very sweet on my bday.

I love coming here on Sunday mornings to get my food to go. It’s never really crowded early in the day. Most parties get seated right away or have a 5 min max. wait time. The food is always good and I’m always satisfied. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never had any issues. And who doesn’t like IHOP?

Worst experience ever! DO NOT GO TO THIS IHOP. We got in at night time and it was literally 3 families in there including us, the waiter came and she was nice to us. We were seated pretty quickly. After being seated, It took 40 minutes to get our food, when I wanted to cancel our meal, the waitress caught an attitude and spoke about us loudly to the cooks that were supposed to be preparing our meal but instead they were talking about us not wanting the food. While they were talking about us, the cooks were peeping through the kitchen to look at us. We should of walked out but my son was so hungry and I was desperate to feed him. After I eventually cancelled the food, I noticed that the cooks placed it on the shelf for pick up and it was ready. Instead of the waitress telling us it was ready, she was packing it in a container which appeared it was for herself most likely. So I called the waitress and told her funky little attitude self that all she had to do was communicate with us, that there was an error and that the food would be on its way soon, we also mentioned that it took 40 mins and there’s no one here… the funny part is that the waitress said 40 mins is not long, lol. Smdh, this location use to have the coolest, friendliest staff ever, then over the last 3years the staff got ruder and the food got colder. I rather go to the one by CCC on flatlands and Pennsylvania any day.

I Hop is the lowest common denominator. They have a menu full of family favorites, all of them forgettable at best.
The pancakes taste like mix + water. Why is that?
The syrup 100% corn syrup.
Your french fries will be from frozen potatoes.
You won’t do worse price wise, going elsewhere. That is my recommendation.

I’m rating their IHOP ‘n GO service.
I honestly don’t remember the last time I actually sat in this IHOP.
It’s too small & cramped for my liking.
Their to go service is pretty quick.
Never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my food.
Which is good when you’re in the middle of doing your errands.
The food is standard breakfast food.
You can’t really mess up pancakes, eggs, bacon, & hash browns, right?

Waited over 20 mins for 2 glasses of water… don’t even start me on how long it took for the food…

My food was ready pretty quickly. Only disappointment this time around is my waiter barely spoke English so he didn’t understand when I asked for extra hot water so I could make more cups of tea. Despite the language barrier he was a polite server. This is my favorite ihop in Brooklyn because it’s usually the cleanest and the foods always really good.

There’s a woman that works at IHOP over the weekend at night, she’s the «hostess» and she’s awful. I went there and ordered pancakes to go and she was giving me the eye as if I did something wrong. The woman acts as if she owns the place. Ihop really needs to evaluate their staff.

I have veg omelte no taste it a lot of it I don’t like it they need to get a good cook

The wait time is ridiculous… The waiters have attitude problems like they didn’t want to come into work. My particular waiter took down are drinks and didn’t bring them to the table until 20mins later. All the orders were wrong when the food came to the table. Horrible experience at this location. They need to step it up!

I go here all the time and I mean literally I’m here almost every weekend. Lately I’ve slowed it down though, and I go here because my boyfriend loves IHOP! The food is the same… I mean what can you really criticize about pancakes, French toast and eggs. I personally hate their eggs because it just seems fake to me. I get their garden omelette’ because they seem more real lol. The wait is the reason why I gave 3 stars. The wait is pretty long, over an hour sometimes which is ridiculous. It’s very small in here so I guess this is the reason. I like IHOP though, preferably during the week.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Lol. How do you go to a restaurant twice and not get served even water. First time, the line was so backed up we couldn’t even get in. Second time, we had to wait I would say at least 5 – 8 minutes just to be asked «Table for two?», not by the hostess but by the COOK who came out from the kitchen to greet us. Then we had to wait I would say 8 – 10 for the waitress to say «Be with you in a second». By that point, me along with two other tables just walked out the place. That was just ridiculous to say the least. I think the entire staff needs an overhaul. Oh. .. and the front entrance smelled like urine.

I am not a big fan of Ihop, I dontg really care for their food and usually if I am eating there is that someone drag me there.

The waitress was very sweet friendly helpful however that location is freezing cold, like they blast the AC and I was so cold I didn’t even want to eat.

The Sunday church crowd is ridiculous, it’s like trying to get into a club. If it ain’t a booth for two, seating is cramped. There needs to be a better ihop that doesn’t involve going all the way to downtown brooklyn.

Don’t even bother to step in here if you wanna redeem free birthday pancakes. This place has the sassiest attitude and they will give you so much crap that your toilet can’t deal. My boyfriend’s birthday was around the corner, he had a coupon for a stack of free pancakes. We came in to redeem them, they turned us down because we didn’t print it. They refused to accept our order so we left and went to a FedEx. The lady had so much attitude, she showed us what previous customers did and showed us a printed copy and talked to us like we were retards.
We came back 30 mins later and they gave us an attitude again. Why? Because we wanted the order to go. They insisted that we dine in but we said NO WHERE on the coupon says you have to dine in. We kept arguing against it and the lady kept rolling her eyes and making eye contact with the other server. I was seriously worried for her, the way she rolled her eyes, it might just fall out of her sockets. We literally had to stomp our feet on the issue, and no offense with attitude like that, I know I’m gonna go through hell atleast a few times if I dined in.
She didn’t even make sense, dining in or take out, what’s the difference? Why did we have to dine in? So she can charge us for tip? I can’t believe $ 1.50 tip is worth the trouble… Or is she upset about having to give us free take out boxes, utensils and napkins? Whatever the case may be she’s the last person who should run a business. You can’t run a business and pinch pennies like this.
Her argument for enforcing us to dine in was that it was how THEIR iHop was run, it was how they redeemed the coupons. I’m sorry lady but your iHop isn’t yours. It’s a chain like every where else. you don’t own it, you just work there. I don’t think you’re making any more than your hourly wages.
Anyways after we stood our foot on the matter they finally decided to «let it slide» and do a take out order for us. Man you should’ve seen their faces. They made us feel like we were robbing them or putting them out of business because of the coupon. I didn’t know pancakes were worth a million nowadays at iHop. While we sat and waited, I heard the cooks and servers saying negative things about us in another language. (What they didn’t know was that I actually speak their language) I decided to be the bigger person and ignored it. It’s not their fault they have to work in a shithole and be influenced by awful people. All I can say is I hope what comes around goes around.
I’d rather choke myself than come to this place again, seriously awful people, never in my life have I dealt with such animals.
P. S. I thought iHop was treating the pancakes as a gift but rather they put us through hell, how can anyone celebrate a birthday like that?

Although it is always crowded and there is a wait to be seated the pancakes are well worth the wait.

Waiters are always pleasant, but the wait sometimes is ridiculous, food is always hot… but I really dislike the cramped atmosphere…

Local spot. I would just avoid the church crowd on Sundays. It can get very packed. You get larger portions compared to Ihops in the city. Overall I love this location. It’s local and the servers are nice

Worst service ever. My son and I got seated and we waited for 15 min. No waitress came to our table. I had to get up to request one. The food took forever to come out. It’s not that big of a place with four waitresses and they were really slow.

I’m not really a chain kinda girl, but I always give each place a chance. After my visit, I stick to my guns about chains. My sever was very inattentive, got my order wrong, got my husband order wrong, and over cooked my bacon to beef jerky. Lucky I didn’t have to wait to get such terrible food! Ughk!
