Amazing service. Support your local hardware store. It’s stocked and filled with knowledgeable staff. They spend time helping and answering your questions. They also have a great Unilocal deal. Spend $ 15 for $ 30 credit.

Wow. This place is spectacular and they have everything and the employees actually know something, unlike the employees at Lowes and Home Depot who are trucked in from Riker’s Isl. and need to wear electronic ankle bracelets.

I’ve never felt compelled to write a review about a hardware store. We’ve all had to buy tools, screws etc. Generally, nothing about the typical screw buying experience warrants my creative energy, let alone my subsequent free time.
But any experience in Greschlers is a memorable one. You never pay as much as you’re supposed to, and the staff will always go out of their way to get you what you need.
For me, it was two experiences: one where the sales attendant gave me a pack of screws for half price (because I didn’t have exact change) and the other when a sales attendant — with ten minutes to go before closing — used his own supplies to build us a functioning space heater during a borough-​wide shortage and a bitter polar vortex.

Great local mom-​and-​pop hardware store with awesome service! I needed some painting supplies and other hardware for my bathroom and the guys recommended exactly what I needed to get the job done. Very quick and friendly, much better than going to a chain store. Plus great prices!

This guys are extremely helpful and they always have something workable to accomplish the task. They have some of the best metal stock selection I’ve seen. Real life savers. They even have work clothes.

Best Customer Service hands down! I call in my orders and they have it ready when my driver arrives, also if your not sure of the exact item you need, the workers are extremely patient. I rarely have to go anywhere else. This is 1st place I call when I need something and 10⁄10 if they do not have it, they can get it for me in record time. They are not just limited to Brooklyn. I get material for contracts as far as NJ & CT. My driver never waits for pickups. Out of the many vendors I have to deal with Greschlers’ Hardware is a breath of fresh air.

This may be one of the best hardware stores in the five boroughs.
I went to 10 of the «best» hardware stores in Manhattan and Brooklyn looking for a specific screw (12⁄24 machine screw with a slotted pan head). Not a single store had it, but I went to Greschler’s and they had the exact screw I needed. I think I waited all of 30 seconds before the guy who was helping me came back with the two screws I needed. Unbelievable! I could have saved so much time by going to Greschler’s first.
After I made my purchase, I was talking to one of the guys behind the counter and they said that many stores who don’t carry certain products have to order from them! Go figure!
Greschler’s is far out of my normal circuit, but definitely worth the haul. Plus they open at 7:00 AM which is super convenient for me.

Best hardware in South Slope. The guys are always eager and ready to assist you. And when you have a project in mind, they guide you on exactly what you need to get it done. They also have a large selection of Dickey’s clothes.
