I got my paintings framed. I asked for the lowest price frame and glass on top. Got a really good price and the frames look really good and simple like I wanted them. Professionally frame art looks great to me.

After having these framed posters for a while, I have found the art is starting to curl up in the frame. I’ve never had this happen with any other posters I’ve had framed. Would not really reccomend anymore

The owners here are kind and friendly and were generous with their time and help in picking out the right frame and framing style for my print. To top it off, the job was completed quickly and affordably. Looking forward to bringing additional items in to be framed!

These people are unprofessional and rude. They ruined a large 30×40 inch photograph of mine and refused to pay to get it re-printed. They also refused to refund us for the horrible job they did. I will never go back here.

It took me a while to check this place out because it’s not open on the weekend, but I finally did. Great service, lots of options, quick turnaround. Highly recommended.

Great shop. The owner is charming, and at what must be a very busy time of year he was willing to accommodate my request to expedite a small job.

What a great experience. Tom, the owner, was the friendliest and most accommodating shop owner. I picked out a frame for a 16×20 painting for $ 32. The last frame shop I went to in Manhattan wanted to charge me $ 170. He said it usually takes him a week to make a new frame but he said he would get that one done for me the next day. If you’re looking for great prices, friendliness, and an owner who is willing to bend over backwards to get you what you want, look no further. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Some of the best priced frames in town. Very pleasant staff. Competent work. No complaints.

I’ve had at least 30 pieces framed here for probably 4 or 5 different shows. Tommy is the man. You will get gallery quality work, for 1995 prices, so inevitably there may be a few less frills. If you have something specific in mind, definitely speak up, this isn’t Chelsea, but for the price your paying, the quality is there.

FrameArt is my first and only choice when it comes to frame the artwork that is displayed in my photography gallery( ). The quality is incredible, and on top of it, Tommy and his staff are great partners when it comes to creative decisions regarding which frame fits art work. Several times, as in The Holiday Show(Dec. 2012) when two of my artists handed me their final print a couple of days before the opening, FrameArt was available to take care of the framing within this tight schedule. When I had to frame 23 photographs before the participation in The Fountain Art Fair on March 2013, not only I got an amazing quality and a great price, but the finished framed works was delivered to the location courtesy of the shop. So, bottom line… expect the best when it comes to framing at FrameArt.

Amazing place to have prints framed. Everyone there is super helpful and the overall costs is really inexpensive compared to other shops. The only one drawback is their hours and not being open on weekends. It makes it difficult for people whom have full time jobs to get in and discover this jewel.

FrameArt is a wonderful place to have prints or artwork matted and framed. Tommy Hild really knows his craft and runs his business compassionately and thoughtfully. He is very helpful with answering any questions about pricing or frame selection and offers a variety of economical/reasonable(alongside more expensive) frames and mats, assembled to a high-quality final product. Highly personalized experience, I am a repeat customer and would recommend this business to anyone.

We tried FrameArt NYC because of a voucher and were absolutely delighted with the service. I brought in two large pieces of original«bicycle themed» artwork by local artists. Tommy, the owner, is very sweet and truly cares enough to ensure his customers are happy. He helped me decide on the best presentation for both pieces and gave me an unbelievable price which was just a bit over the voucher amount. I highly recommend this business and I will be back to him with more artwork to frame soon!

Excellent service, and extremely reasonable pricing. I brought them a rather large print to be matted and framed, and was excited when I found out the job wouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Great selection of frames, and the service was very personable. After my initial experience, I brought more pieces for them to frame.

As a photographer and curator, I engaged FrameArt NY to frame the entire«Diversity of Devotion» exhibit I curated for the Brooklyn Public Library’s main branch. Tommy and his team did a fantastic job! The frames and mats were perfect, delivered on time and most importantly very cost effective! If you have a job, large or small Mr. Hild(the owner) does his best to make customers happy. I also used them for personal framing and was very pleased with the results! If you want great frames at discount prices, it is totally worth the trip to visit them in East Williamsburg /Bushwick.

Frame Art NYC is incredible. My partner and I had a living social voucher, so we went in with two pieces: a hand-crafted pillowcase we got in Jerusalem and a 1970s poster we got in Old San Juan. We spoke to the owner, Tommy Hild, and asked for his suggestions. First of all, he is LOVELY. He is super friendly, personable, accommodating, thoughtful, and of course has such an eye for what will make a beautiful framed piece. For the pillowcase, he suggested a shadow-box with several layers of black matting and a decorative gold frame. I was skeptical, but it turned out absolutely incredible. For the 70s poster, he suggested an off-white matting to match the border of the poster and a black frame. He quoted us for totally reasonable prices and told us when they would be ready. The whole time we spoke, he was completely professional, courteous, and charming — we learned a lot about his career, how he came to open the shop, his recent move to Bushwick, and the work he has done for decades. We came back in to pick them up when they were ready and they turned out so beautiful. We’ve recommended Frame Art to several other people, one of whom already went and was super pleased with the work. We will continue to recommend Frame Art and Tommy to everyone who will listen. So amazing!

Unprofessional and staggeringly Incompetent. The owner Tommy Hild, is a coward. I dislike speaking so strongly about an owner-run business, as I do the same, but this is the exception: If you value your time and money then I advise you take them someplace else. If you value a job done professionally, take it somewhere else. If you value a business owner that has integrity, take yourself someplace else. If you want a simple job butchered, come here. If you want to take the time out of your workday to come to this business 5 times in two months to pick up work that was paid for but not completed, stop by. If you want to listen to a business owner talk about why he can’t get a woman, come on in. If art is your vocation or just your avocation… take your hard earned money to a business that can deliver. This just isn’t the place.

I have had 2 different things framed here in the last 6 months. I am always encouraged to grab matting and frame types on my own and take as long as I like with switching them out, asking opinions etc. They are so very careful with every piece and reasonably priced. The owner, Tommy, makes sure I understand exactly what I am getting and gives me a quote before starting the job. I will soon be bringing in all those things I have had in the closet waiting for me to get motivated to frame them. Thanks!

Had a horrible experience here. Ordered a custom frame from an unknowledgeable employee. Said it would be done in a few days. So I put a deposit down. Then a week goes by. I have to call them. They tell me a few more days. Another week goes by. I call them and it still wasn’t even built and not ordered yet! At this point it was too late and I made them give me my deposit back. They have no problem missing deadlines by two weeks without calling you to let you know. Shady people.

Prices are affordable, and the owner is such a nice man. He kept the store open a little late for me so that I could make it in after work. I had some difficulties in deciding which frame would work for a painting I had picked up in Havana, but he took his time and helped me choose the perfect match. These days, it’s difficult to find such great service in NYC. I was so impressed I went back a week later with another piece of artwork.
