I’ve walked by this place for years even though it is the closest place around, I always though it was just a cheap coffee place. After a while I notice that there are good looking single dudes in there eating alone and I think wow this place must be pretty good for people who have their sh#t together to go out of their way to eat there by themesevels. I walk in and there is a HUGE menu diner style with emphasis on mexican, what more could I want! My life is changed now.

More a diner than a Mexican restaurant(in the cliché sense), ordered in and had a first rate Tex Mex quesadilla with lots of guac, Then a very presentable burritos with camarones. Really well made and very happy after the demise of Tacqeria DF after the owner passed. Not full on Tex Mex or Cal Mex, but flavorful and good portions. Will be my new goto in our ‘nabe.

Closed. This place is now Pablito’s. New menu, but don’t worry, they’re still open for breakfast!

This place is my jam. I always know they will get my order right. I know the coffee will not be too strong or too weak. I will always be greeted by the owners. The omelet is awesome. Juevos Rancheros and French Toast are to die for. Pancakes? Forgettaboutit.

What!?! I hate seeing these low reviews. I have been coming here for years when I need a good brunch and do not want to venture too far away. Everything is dirt cheap. The service is always good. I love the Huevos Rancheros, the shrimp wrap, grill cheese, and really anything. There is something for everyone there. Everything is filling(usually enough for two meals), and run by a family. Keep this place alive by coming here. If I ever move, I will seriously miss this place.

Not fancy but not bad either. I really like the soft Chorizo Tacos(See pics). It’s a very friendly Mexican family own and run business. Good service and clean. Prices and inexpensive. It’s walking distance from my friends place so I go often.

Food was mediocre but the service was dreadful. Watched my food stand behind the counter while two waitresses discuss whose order it was. Nothing special here.

Odd but interesting. It’s kinda like someone’s living room in that the place is packed with plants(some dying), used magazines and all the employees seem related and gossipy. I had a burrito which was somewhat small of the price and pretty forgettable as well. Nice folks, though service was a bit slow.

Horrible food. Tacos were bad, steak was bad and how can you ruin rice and beans? I had two bad experiences and will never go back. May be the coffee is good I don’t know didn’t try that.

I had the huevos rancheros and they were the best I have had in Brooklyn, and so cheap! I will be returning for this dish alone. Good coffee too!

After hanging out at Green-Wood Cemetery for the morning, we worked up an appetite for lunch… wanted Mexican but were too hungry to walk to Sunset Park. Imagine our surprise then, when walking into this unassuming coffee shop, ordering both American and Mexican items, we found ourselves eating the best enchiladas moles ever! Just the right combo of pumpkin seed, chocolate, herbs, and heat. My sis who is a veg, said her veggie burger tasted like they had invented it on the spot, it was that fresh and tasty. My son got the chicken burrito, with a generous salad… actual cilantro taste to the beans… hub got the corned-beef hash w/2 eggs… total for all this and friendly service and clean? $ 27 and change.

THEPROS: 1) Dirt cheap. 5 $ for a whole meal(eggs bacon toast and coffee). 2) Clean(yeah cleanliness is a problem around these parts). 3) Nice staff,(No dour, indie boys serving you coffee and judging your choice of meal or style of coffee & no skinny hipster-nistas with their colored plastic lens glasses, staring in fascinated horror, when your large tray of meat and potatoes arrive). THECON: 1) the cheapness of price is reflected in the quality of food. Remember those long, 24-slice, packages of stark-white, store brand, 2 for 5 $ loaves of bread? Well that is what is served here. If you grew up in the PJ’s or grew up dirt poor, your heart will swell with fond memories, over the cheap«government cheese» taste of their«American cheese». Barring anything else, take heart, post hang over, or even pre-pay day«I’m so broke but I’m too tired to cook», you will absolutely appreciate this nice, friendly, dirt cheap, greasy spoon diner. It may even bring back fond memories of Wonder Bread and sharing your hand me downs with 5 other siblings/extended relations.

Went there a few weeks ago & found a great deal. Good food, great service, clean, kid-friendly and way cheap. I had an egg sandwich with cheese & turkey, my husband had an omelette & my daughter had the silver dollar pancakes. All were pleased with our orders. Will definitely go back there again & again.

This isn’t special except that this neighborhood was lacking a classic diner-style diner, and now it has one! $ 4.50 for french toast with bacon, $ 0.80 for coffee plus refills, and a friendly(if slightly frazzled at the best of times) staff, it’s exactly what you want when you want to spend less than six dollars on a hangover breakfast.

Limited menu but incredibly inexpensive. $ 4 for a grilled cheese and french fries? Yes, please!

I think it must be new to the neighborhood. Stopped in here because I was early meeting a friend for a walk through Greenwood Cemetery. $ 4.00 hamburger and an $.80 bottomless coffee are you serious? The burger and coffee were good, the fries were frozen(to be expected at that price) but were ok. The service was great and the place was clean. Seriously. $ 5.00.
