Cool nail art photos, did a great job with my polish, and seemed to be accommodating to my fellow customer– but didn’t make me feel«pretty and pampered» as a mani & pedi should. Although I have been spoiled– nail spas in Queens are much better. These guys have the potential to be a really good salon, but they need to find technicians who know how to make their customers feel nice, and need to focus more on the«Spa» aspects of their nail salon. Bushwick could really use this !! They are rough and don’t understand the concept of taking the time to indulge their customers. They also need a little help in the cleanliness and organization department. Again, the potential is there, they just need to step it up and clean up their game.

**********************UPDATE*********************** I was WRONG about the name & location of the nail shop I patronize. This review is actually for 1FINESTNAILSALON, which had no Unilocal review until now… I’m posting this one, with pictures and location(1165 Myrtle Avenue). See So this is the nail shop in my ‘hood that I patronize regularly and, after almost 2 years in the ‘hood, I’ve tried several. It helps that it’s steps from the Myrtle/Broadway stop and open til 8. They give a pedicure identical to the ones I fell in love with at Black Label Salon on Lexington in midtown — with the jello squishy stuff that feels like heaven on one’s toes. Also, my gel manicure is as good as any I’ve gotten anywhere and they’ve expanded their selection of colors, gel and regular polish, to include Essie products and a plethora of gel colors to choose from. The bonus is it’s $ 20 less than I’d pay in midtown for identical services.

A Block away from my home, so convenient. But it’s not that great. They lock up all the Essie &OPI nail polishes to prevent theft. If you want to use them you have to pay extra. Never heard of that in my life! Overall due to the up and coming neighborhood and the old ghetto clientele… I gave it 3 stars for being just OK. Lady didn’t really do a good job filing and the cheap polish chips within 1 to 2 days.

My kind of neighborhood Brooklyn nail shop. I have been loyal to a lower east side shop that does my acrylics for 5 years and when my girl wasn’t there I decided to try somewhere near where I live off myrtle broadway. I got Lora who was so sweet and took great care of me. I hate to say this but she did a better job than the woman I have gone to for 5 years! She did my acrylics thin and skinny exactly how I asked and how I like them! She took her time and did a perfect job. A lot of people who came in had one technician they wanted too so I know people are loyal to them. I took of one star because they had poor polish selection but every nail shop in bushwick/bedstuy has poor polish selection. They also do lots of designs for cheap I think. Oh and they also speak great English which is good

«Excellent» is an understatement. I come here merely out of convenience. The service is decent, depending on which nail technician you get. I’ve been nicked before due to carelessness! :shakes fist: If you’re looking to get a full set, the prices are definitely 50% cheaper than what you’ll get in Manhattan. And honestly, this place does a much better job than some places I’ve been to in the city when it comes to acrylic. They’re also rather quick, so even when it’s packed, you won’t be waiting too long. Also this place might as well be a restaurant as it is a nail salon because some of the technicians shamelessly eat their shrimp chow fun on the same table they clipped your nails. «I’ll have a side of fried wontons with my Szechuan manicure. If the dim sum design is only an extra $ 5, I’ll have that — but please go easy on the acrylic dust, I don’t want my nails looking like chop suey.» It’s not exactly the cleanest and organized of all places either. The grammatically incorrect postings along with the faux jewelry for sale and last Christmas’ decorations makes me feel like I’m at a flea market. I can’t say I recommend it, but I’m also not saying it’s not THAT bad. Suit yourself.
