Soooooo gooood! I’ve been eating from this truck for years! They have the best empanadas in Brooklyn! The chicken ones are my fav. The fried fish is also good too! The only con is during the winter… it’s a food truck on an open corner so as you’re waiting, you will be cold!

These empanadas are ridiculously good. I pretty much avoid The Atlantic Center if I’m trying to keep the waistline in check, because there is no passing this truck without snagging two of these puppies. The dough is delish, as are the fillings, then these little half moons of heaven are fried to golden perfection. Ask for an extra napkin to catch the overflow of, er, flavor that drips out of these delicious street treats.

This place is a dream come true! Kind of like if I was in a band that was fronted by Paris Hilton, but when we went to perform at the Garden, we couldn’t find our bass player. And for some reason I had a full beard. Except that’s not really a good dream. And uh… not one I had either. What I meant to say is that this place is a dream come true in the sense that it’s offering the most delicious of empanadas, in the most convenient of locations, at very reasonable prices. Every empanada I’ve tried has been damn good. It’s pretty telling that once I got one with chicken, and I didn’t even miss the cheese that I forgot to order. You read that right: I made one of the classic blunders(the most famous of which is ‘never get involved in a land war in Asia’), and the quality is so high at Cesar’s that it DIDN’T EVENMATTER. (Is a chicken and cheese empanada also fantastic? Of course it is.) It’s also pretty telling that we’ve been known to grab some empanadas, go take care of some business in the misery that is the Atlantic Terminal Mall, and then come back out and get more empanadas. Even though we’d already eaten lunch, and had imminent dinner plans. Basically, you should come eat some empanadas because you will be happier than you would be if you didn’t. You can sit on the ledge of the mall, pour tiny amounts of red or green hot sauce(both superb) onto each bite, and fend off the rats with wings* that congregate by your feet, hoping for a small morsel of empanada. Well, I’d sooner lick it off the sidewalk than let you have anything, you disgusting vultures. _____________ *You may know these as «pigeons.»

Cesar. CESAR! CEESAAAR!!! What do you put in your empanadas?! IT. IS. CRACKALICIOUS!!! Initially, I thought $ 2.50 a pop was a bit steep but upon the first bite, it was WORTHEVERYDAMNPENNY for many reasons. Uno, the chicken and spinach ratio was perfecto. Dos, well seasoned and killer flavors. Tres, not oily! Quatro, the chewy and flaky dough. Cinco, a sizeable empanada packed with goodies instead of air. Hmm, not sure why I felt the need to count in Spanish… So yeah, hit Cesar up if you enjoy empanadas! Don’t be an idiot like me and only order one. There are tons of options to choose from, so I will definitely be back to try more and by more I mean ALL.

After walking past this little truck for three years, I finally decided to participate in the long line waits. I got the beef empanada. It was my first time trying an empanada and boy was I not disappointed. It was a little over half the size of the bag it comes in. I took my first bite and there wasn’t that many fillings inside, but the outter shell was crispy. I took another bite and all the juice splattered down my hand. The lady probably had known that the little accident would happen because she got me covered with that handful of napkins. However, the empanada could use a little more cheese and definitely more steak. But for the price, it was a pretty sweet deal. The empanada wasn’t that warm either and no I was not eating it on a cold day.

Cheap, fresh, fast and piping hot empanadas. What more can a girl ask for? Hot sauce. Yep Caesars got you covered. I love the variety of empanadas that Caesar provides. My favorite is the fish empanada. Least favorite one would have to be the spinach and cheese one. For some reason it’s so damn salty! The green hot sauce that comes with it on request is really f*cking hot. But delicious smothered allllllll over dat hot empanada. I believe this place is cash only but everything is under 5 $. I come here every time I’m in the neighborhood. The average empanada is about 3 $.

Came by this spot on Friday night with a friend and tried a few of these tasty empanadas. The cheese one was ehhh really not too good, I mean it had cheese but it wasnt hot. Now the Beef with spinach was muy buen, the Chicken with Spinach was vvv good. I tried a few different ones on two evenings passing by. The one I really didnt like was Chicken with Mix Vegetables really didnt hit the mark for me. I would definitely try different things from this food truck. Overall you have to see what is good depending on your tastebuds. The crust on the empanadas are not dough heavy just right. The filling to size ratio is perfect and crunchy mama mia… Lol And the prices were reasonable with plenty of variety. Service was fast and friendly cant wait too try more empanadas.

Yum yum mmm… It’s just so yummy. I am a sucker for anyone with good salsa verde and theirs is pretty great. The chicken patty is my favorite. I have tried the chicken with veggies but it didn’t have the same flavor. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, just not my fav.

This food truck has become synonymous with drunk food-binges in the area. Fancied yourself a bit too many beers and need some amazing, greasy empanadas, burritos or tacos to soak it up and get you back on your feet? Cesar’s has you covered. I get the sweet plantain empanada and the black bean empanada. While not made-to-order they maintain consistency and flavor rather nicely. The aforementioned two are completely vegan(I have verified a couple times; no butter, eggs, animal fat, etc)! Next time you’re stopping by Barclay’s to catch the Nets or a hockey game, concert /etc after hitting happy hour be sure to come by here and save yourself the 9 $ you’d pay for pretzels and use it toward blowing the bank on 11 $ Buddy-Weiser cans at the game.

Had the Beef Empanada. Juicy, crispy, buttery flaky. Guy who either works there or owns the truck was like«you’ll be down the block and want to come back and get another one.» He was right. I woulda but gotta save myself for the dinner I’m having at a wedding tonight. Go here if you want a really good snack. E

When I’m downtown brooklyn, I look to go to Ceasers. I haven’t been disappointed anytime I choose to go there. Love the tacos. Love the empanadas. .sauce. Sometimes there’s a wait but it’s because they’re making your food right then. Which is awesome. The staff is always polite and pleasant. Also, the last time I was there, a homeless woman came by. It was hard to understand her and somewhat uncomfortable bc she was doing some inappropriate things… one of the staff women listened to her when she said she was hungry and gave her some free food and a drink. Treated her like the person she was. Awesome.awesome. Try them out!

The line that is perpetually outside this truck is here for a reason. Or a few reasons: delicious, fast, CHEAP! Haven’t actually tried the burritos or quesadillas here because I feel like I’m always getting Cesar’s on the go and running to my next destination. That makes the empanadas the best food option for those times, but I vow one day to try everything they have to offer. Have been running out here for a long time to get to this truck and turn all the way around to upper Manhattan and beyond. I mean, there were times a couple years ago when I would find myself craving these empanadas and the hot habanero sauce(the green one is hotter) and then traveling 60 – 90 minutes to get my fill. 1. Mozarrella – just like a huge mozzarella stick sans marinara sauce, but I suppose if you’re so inclined you could bring your own along. This is definitely off the chain and only $ 2 2. chicken – ground chicken with peppers and some onions fried into crunchy, doughy hot pocket of perfection 3. sweet plantain – omg whose idea was this? I went the other day and they were out of these. I felt like the man behind the counter was honestly trying to break my heart and crush every dream I ever had. Again, this was one of those times that I had taken planes, trains and automobiles with a certain assortment of empanadas in mind. That said, this truck is always there, the prices cannot be beat, and honestly they’re some of the best the city has to offer.

I had the spinach and cheese one — a little bland but nice and gooey(not over-salted!), but the fish one was great — big, perfectly stuffed and cooked. Heaven!

Whenever I’m nearby and craving something that’s easy to eat on-the-go and won’t break the bank, Cesar’s is definitely my choice. I love their huge variety of empanadas from classics like chicken, beef, and cheese, to even sweet choices like guava and cheese. And the great part about it is that you’ll never end up spend more than $ 3 on one. I looove the chicken empanada. It’s seasoned wonderfully and the outside is nice and crispy. I’ve also never had to worry about getting burned when biting into one(i.e. Hot Pocket burns), which I appreciate because isn’t a burnt tongue the worst? They also offer other larger meals like tacos, fried fish, and burritos, but I’d say just stick with what they’re known for. I once decided to venture away from my usual and instead opted for a chicken burrito bowl, but I was really underwhelmed because it was poorly seasoned and just a little too greasy. The service is quick and efficient, and you can tell that everyone in that small truck is working their asses off, but they’re still always friendly and attentive. I also believe that it’s cash only, so come prepared. I definitely recommend the next time you’re visiting the area.

Stumbling upon Cesar’s Empanadas is probably the best accident I’ve had in Brooklyn. Inspired by an «I’ll eat anything because I’m so hungry» mentality, the food ended up transcending expectations of just keeping me from exploding the street corner with my hangry attitude. For under $ 8, I ended up with flavors I’ve only dreamed of. THIS is the kind of food truck food you’ll be craving in perpetuity after coming here once. The Chicken and Cheese, as well as the Beef with Vegetable, will make your mouth water with the perfectly seasoned filling in the perfectly flaky, fried shell. Don’t pass this truck by. You’ll regret that choice for the rest of your life.

I’ve had Caesars Empanada a while back for my first time and wasn’t a fan at all at first. I always saw my co-workers eating them everyday, so I figured one day for lunch I should just step out and grab it since it’s quick, easy, and I love empanadas. After my first two time giving them a chance and wasn’t being impressed with my lunch for break, I stopped going for awhile until my coworkers started praising the burritos and the smell of their empanada started getting to me again. The empanadas are nowhere as good to any of the empanadas I’ve had and loved. But it’s decent you could say and inconsistent. As you’re eating it, you’ll always get a whole lot of grease oozing out, sometimes you’ll have more big empanada skin to not much fillings… Sometimes it’s satisfying and tasty enough like the last recent two times I had it. Skip the shrimp, beef and cheese is good. The burrito will definitely have you bloated for $ 8 then hit you into the food coma. So beware, it might not be a good idea to have during your lunch break or before going to work like I did. The beef burrito was tasty all around, I just wish they didn’t overload too much on the rice carbs… There’s seriously a whole lot of rice in that burrito wrap. It’s not the best option, but if you’re around and needing a really fast nearby food on Atlantic that’s much tastier and better compared to mcdonalds etc, and good value for your money… Then stop at this truck.

One day I was starving nearby and heading to a beer tasting, which is a terrible combo. Seeing this truck and recalling my love of empanada led me to desparate get on line here. I’m very leery of non-descript food trucks like this, but there was a long line so I hoped at least the food would be fresh. It damn sure was cheap, with 2 empanadas costing only $ 4. I was pleasantly surprised! The coating in both cases was nice and crisp, reminiscent of a fried egg roll. Both were good but the beef was the better of the 2 I got. I like the seasoning of the meat in particular. The chicken and vegetable was decent but too dry; the green and red sauces helped here. The red was pretty hot and tangy while the green was only mildly spicy but lacked flavor otherwise. Still for $ 4 this managed to fill me up briefly – at least enough to get through my tasting. This isn’t world-class food, but it is damned good and damned cheap. Thank God there’s a quick, decent food option here at Atlantic Ave, As I’m in this area more and more, I will likely be repeating this experiment!

Omg!!! Delish empanadas!!! Here I am about to eat a banana when my co-worker walks in and says lets go to the empanada truck. I said«I’m in.» The truck is located near the Atlantic Ave Mall. It’s closer to the LIRR main entrance. The menu is very cheap. The empanadas are $ 2-$ 3. It can become a lunch, snack, or even dinner. Unbelievably a great decision. I got the chicken & spinach empanada and the beef with vegetables empanada. Both were amazing, flavorful, and crunchy. Portion size are very decent. They have other dishes like tacos and sandwiches, but they are best known for the empanadas. The empanadas are amazing here and they are cheap. I love food trucks!!!
