I can’t believe I forgot to finish my review after the Elite event here. Everything I had at Traif was delicious. Everything. The pork cheek and polenta was really my favorite, though, I’ve had dreams about it. I am salivating as I write this review. In addition to the food being wonderful, the staff was terrific. They dealt with a hungry(and somewhat aggressive) pack of Unilocalers very well. The space is small but gorgeous, don’t let the walk over fool you with what is in store once you are here. The back patio is lovely too. I cannot wait to go back.

Another wonderful event at a gem of a little spot. Some of the best food I’ve ever had at a Unilocal event, including a sweet pulled pork slider, and a truly outstanding blue cheese and date wrapped in bacon. The spicy drink was also a killer. Or so I felt after the fourth one… Not only the food was fantastic, but the people at Traif really went out of their way to make this event a success: from the chef, to the waitstaff, to the manager. Thank you, guys! But I feel compelled to subtract a star… because of my fellow Unilocalers, actually. Yes, Unilocalers that suffer from Cinderella syndrome: at the strike of 9PM, everybody left the place. I mean: WTF… Everybody except Clint H. and Wendy C.: you know you’re cool when you are the last Unilocaler standing. For all the other ones: you missed an opportunity to get to know in person the wonderful people at Traif who made the event such a blast. Redeem yourself at the next event; or else!

I came back home to my man and told him«I told you to Unilocal!I had such a great time! The event was filled with nice folks, wonderful food, delicious food, booze and finger licking tasty food! Look what you missed!!» * Elite event @ Traif was definably one of my favorite Unilocal events so far. The venue and its super friendly staff provided a wonderful experience. I like Traif’s open kitchen layout where I could see the cooks preparing those mouth watering tasting samples. At the back of the venue, there was the beautiful, lovely patio for outdoor sitting and even a green area with grass. Also, I like how the management prepared a list of the event’s samplings and drinks along with descriptions. Thoughtful and very organized, I dig that. I’m not going to break down on the tastings since I’m sure everybody who reviewed has covered most of them. Yet it is never too much to emphasize how much I enjoyed and loved the food Traif showcased. In addition, Finger Lakes Distilling Company was there to provide tastings for their gin, vodka and cherry liquor. They are local(yay!) and surely tasty(double yay-yay!). Their liquor and vodka will find their way to my shelf next time I go booze shopping. It was so nice to see the usual suspects: Will C.(the one and only!), Sarah W.(yes people like to add letters to both of our last names), Laura A.(gracias por tus lindas palabras… cuantos animos!), James F.(we got there so early!), Tony C.(relinking!), among others. What is a Unilocal event without meeting new Unilocalers? A shout to Sarah K., Liz C., Cassy S. and funny Mike B. To wrap this review up, special thanks to beautiful and photogenic Jane K. and awesome Peter D.(for allowing me to capture your soul with my camera, it’s mine now! muahahaha **) Will I go back to Traif? Can’t wait! * Ok, I didn’t exactly say that… ** Ok, it’s time for my meds…
