Honestly, this place doesn’t even deserve a star. I went in to get my already existing gel manicure removed + a regular manicure. Not only did she not completely remove the gel, but she giggled when I pointed it out. She failed to buff the gel prior to applying the acetone + foil so she was basically scraping my nails up and causing me pain. She barely manicured my nails. It’s been less than 24 hours and I have hang nails galore. On top of it all, I asked for clear polish only and it still looks like a disaster. Horrible horrible horrible.

I dropped In here for a quick mani and pedi… It did not turn out to be quick. They were slow and all available, they gave me the least experienced manicurist. Took forever for her to work and paint my nails, and she didn’t even do a good job. Will not be returning.

I’ve been coming to this place for just over a year out of sheer convenience. It was always mediocre at best but its cheap and fast and the closest place to my apartment(and I’m lazy). I had an experience here yesterday that finally convinced me to ditch this place for good. My pedicurist turned the water on SO hot, when I put my feet in it I almost screamed in pain. I told her it was way too hot and she laughed and adjusted it. The pedicure she gave me was extremely painful and she was very rough with the cuticle cutters. I’m surprised I wasn’t bleeding. Then when she put the hot towel on my feet, she didn’t wait long enough for it to cool down slightly, and the towel was scalding. When I told her that it was too hot she laughed at me again. Towards the end of the pedicure she received a call on her cellphone. She talked on the phone through the rest of it and when she was done, she pointed towards the drying area. She did not offer to help me carry my coat or shoes or purse over there. I had to hobble there myself with all my stuff in tow. When I paid and tipped her(which was too big of a tip in hindsight), she didn’t say«thank you» or anything remotely like it. She wordlessly took my money and walked away. I walked out of here very frustrated and determined to not give them any more of my business. I will walk a few blocks further to a nail place where the people are not total jerks.

This is your typical Brooklyn nail salon. Nothing fancy. Just your standard mani/pedi place. Manicures are $ 10 Pedicures are $ 20 or you can get a special for both for $ 28. The interior is decent. Doesn’t look dingy but doesn’t look like its been thoroughly cleaned in a while. Two things I noticed is that the woman doing my nails didn’t offer to carry my bag after doing my toes or hands. Not that its a big deal but Its a bit hard to carry a purse and shoes with wet nails. Also, no mini massage while your nails dry :(. Those two minutes def add to the experience. And if you pay with a card its more.

I left after having them take 15 minutes to start the manicure and not even do my cuticles… although they seemed to think they did. I wish i could photograph how terrible it looks. I could do it better myself. I tried to ask/explain about 5 times to two different people(this is after i could get no answer about the nail polish too).

This is a solid inexpensive nail place. Very typical of Brooklyn nail places. It’s my favorite on in this neighborhood. It’s not some fancy salon, but it gets the job done. My nails always look great, and I don’t break the bank!

They completely renovated the interior of this salon(minus the carpet for some strange reason which is still pretty gross). It’s brighter, there are a lot of stations available so wait time is pretty minimal. A pedi will run you $ 18 which is a bit pricey for the neighborhood and you can definitely find cheaper if that’s what you’re looking for. Manis are $ 10(standard). Plenty of colors to choose from — mostly Essie and OPI. Overall pleased with my mani/pedi. Decent spot — certainly not terrible.

I always felt that getting manicures was a waste of money since they chipped by the next day. Thanks to Helen, who is the sweetest manicurist ever, I have been doing the Shellac on my nails for the past 3 months which lasts upto 2 weeks with no chipping. I go out of my way just to get great service and results.

I’ve been going here for 10 years for pedicures to see Cindy. Even after I moved to a different neighborhood I keep coming back to see her. Love her!

Note — I have since had a few manicures here, and find the pedicures to be much more relaxing and long-lasting. Manicure was sub-par IMO; rushed and doesn’t last long.

I’m going to give this place two stars because in the past, I have had friendly, attentive staff but last night I went there for a manicure and got Li Lan, the youngest of the bunch and she took no care with my nails, rushed through the whole thing, left polish on my fingers and didn’t even attempt to remove it. So when she got up to send me to the dryer, I said, «Can you please remove these marks?» and she was so put off by this request, I think she even sighed and sat back down. It was so rude. I mean, we all go to get our nails done by professionals so they can be AS good as possible. Of course it won’t be perfect but to have color on your skin is just plain messy. If I go back there, I will always request someone else. On another note, they need better ventilation there. I thought I was going to get high right when I walked in the door. But if you’re into that, this is the place for you! :-) Another negative I guess is that they don’t have much of a selection of colors. I found one that suits me but I’m not all that picky about color. If you have a favorite Essie or Opi color, you most likely won’t find it here. Ending on a positive, wait time is very short and they have lots of great magazines to read. They take credit and the prices are also very good and there are TVs on at both sides of the room.

Don’t bother. Bubbles in my nails. Fast to turn around and not good service.

This place seriously stepped it up. Don’t get me wrong — it’s still a cheapie nail joint, but for $ 25 for a manicure and pedicure, it’s solid. It used to be super dingy, but they recently gave it a fresh coat of paint, so it’s a little more inviting. Plus — yay for the good selection of magazines, and the manicurists are really nice. WAY better spot than the slightly scary place on Court and 2nd or 3rd, which is a total hole. This place is bigger, brighter and all-around better. I’ll definitely be back.

This place is the jam! So cheap: $ 16 pedi, $ 12 mani, $ 7 eyebrow wax, etc. You never have to wait for more than 5 minutes and it’s always about a week before my polish starts to look worn or chips. The ladies that work here are very friendly and do a lovely job.
