Domino’s Pizza

I mean I have no idea why I would expect good service or food from a dominos, but this is almost too funny for me to be angry: I just ordered delivery from this place and the delivery guy called me when he was here. I said «Cool, I’ll buzz you up» and he said «It’s dominos policy that we don’t bring the pizza to your door.» !!! I was convinced this guy was just lazy as all hell (he was, and an asshole too, as though I was crazy for expecting the delivery guy to, you know, deliver the pizza) until I called the store back and asked if it was actually their policy. The woman who answered the phone, immediately defensive and rude, told me that not only was it the policy but that it «had been that way for a long time.» I told her I had been ordering from the same place for the last two years and I’ve never had a delivery driver tell me that he couldn’t bring the pizza to my door. She just kept saying «it’s been that way for a long time.»
I delivered pizza for 8 years. I know that it can be a dangerous job, and taxing on your body to climb stairs all day. But it’s a job, and a lucrative one, and there’s really no reason not to do it well. When people order delivery the point is that someone brings you the gd food bro.

Lol it’s like I order just to remind myself how terrible they are. It’s like some days the foods okay then every other day it’s crap. Staff is rude as well. They should just fire everyone and start fresh.

This is by far the worst dominos I’ve ever dealt with. Unfortunately they are in my neighborhood so I try and avoid them as much as possible. Decided to give them one last chance today. I was literally waiting for 18 minutes for someone to even pickup the phone to place a delivery order, they barely spoke good English and had to repeat my order about 3 times. The delivery basically helped himself to an extra $ 3 out of what I already told him to keep for a tip and he forgot our dipping sauce. Pizza was burned and Alfredo pasta was ok but chicken was very limited. This place gives dominos such a bad name!

I’m literally obsessed with this Domino’s (and yes, I know that may be weird/​sad to you, Unilocal reader). My deliveries are always SUPER fast and the delivery people are really nice (especially whomever I had last night — thanks, dude!). Everyone has their own favorite style of pizza (so hush, haters), and mine is this Domino’s (others in the city are not quite at this level, believe me) — the thin crusts are crispy, the pan rich and delicious (though I do recommend calling to ask them to make it well-​done for extra crustiness), and the original is reliably yummy and garlicky. No lie, I’ve spread the gospel of this Domino’s up and down the East Coast.

First time here, ive seen worker dropping a unfolded box on the floor by stepping over it few times while handling other tasks, at same time i reminded the manager that box need thrown away if it was unfolded or folded on the floor. Regardless of my point out they folded it and put it back into shelf. And talking to the manager was pointless!
Today i saw that the store being renovated, oh lets see if its improved. … ordered food. While waiting i saw the female worker who handled the order, she was touching money and the dirty keyboard, after that she went over to the kitchen area without washing her hands or using gloves! she started prepping food! She were touching the ingredients with her bare hands. Eew! Also while doing that, she touched her face and her itchy hair few times! The other female worker did the same, and also she were after sneezing few times and barely turned away! Never ever !

I called to make an order for a pan pizza and cheesy bread. I told them I was going to pick it up and that I want the pizza and the cheesy bread to be well done (cooked all the way).
I gave exact orders to how I wanted my pizza because of the other reviews and pictures I seen on Unilocal.
Anyways I got there and the person who charged me was very nice and polite.
He made sure that my pizza and cheesy bread was cooked well done.
I even checked before leaving to make sure it was. And it was.
It tasted great and I enjoyed the meal with my husband.
If you order exactly what you want then you’ll get it. I did not try them with delivery yet– however maybe one day.

I give this place 5 stars in my opinion it’s the best dominos I’ve ever had. I pick my food up which allows me to enjoy fresh straight outta the oven pizza which is what I like. The cheese is spread evenly they know just how much sauce is good and they always bless me with nicely cooked bacon. I order the pan pizza with triple bacon. I didn’t even know that they delivered but I’d still pick up my pizza just to remove the deliver guy taking his sweet time and unsatisfying cold pizza. Good job guys. Pick up your pizza if you can.

Food is good. Delivery is timely. Driver tried to touch my head and put a spell on my eyeballs or something, but I think he meant well.

I want to start this review off by saying I’ve never tried dominos nor do I intend to. I feel that this type of food disrespects actual Italian food. With that being said, my boyfriend was really hungry last night and wanted to order their cheesy bread sticks. We were in the car and I called them to place the order so it could be ready by the time we got there. The guy on the phone said it would take 20 min, which I found odd, how hard is it to put bread in a microwave. We parked out front and waited in the car for about ten min and I suggested he go inside to see if it’s ready. He went in and stayed there for almost 20 more minutes. The guy mumbled something that they had to find the bread in the back and make it. End of story my boyfriend walked out no breadsticks in hand. He has ordered from here in the past to my house and it took almost two hours resulting in the food being free. This location is doomed I don’t foresee it being open too much longer with that kind of customer service.

Their wings are really good — like better than most wing places. The pizza is fresh and delivered hot and the ordering experience is revolutionary.

Every single time I order from this place it’s an issue!!! Every damn time! Two weeks ago, the wrong chicken, today, the delivery guy says he can’t deliver my pizza to the door! Then hangs up on my on the phone! I call the store, and some moron says they don’t have to come to the door! Like seriously? So let me get this right… you rather loose the $ 40 order than walk up stairs??? Who owns this place??? Is there a manager? A supervisor? Someone with common sense? Any management/​customer service people with a brain works there??? Well thankfully for seamless I can simple place a order with another place and guess what!!! THEY WILL COME TO MY DOOR!!!

Took a little long, about 40 minutes, but food was scrumptious and hot. Definitely would order again.

Well. We had an awful experience ordering. We tried to use the promotion online to get 50% off our pizza. We put the order in with everything we wanted and then put in the coupon code and it wouldn’t go through. We tried a couple times and it still wouldn’t work. We called the store and the dude was super rude. I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager and he would not honor the coupon even though the website didn’t work. This annoying conversation went on way too long before I gave up.
We tried ordering from other places, but this is Park Slope and everything is closed, so long story short, we finally got the coupon to work on a DIFFERENT pizza and now we are waiting. Based on other reviews I hope it doesn’t take all night we are hungry :-/

4 star upgrade review because they truly have improved their service. Faster delivery and better tasting pizza.

I just had a terrible experience at store 3650 in brooklyn ny on 5^th ave. I walked and after waiting a few minutes I ordered feta and spinach cheesy bread that’s all, the man didn’t seem to hear me and leaned in and I repeated spinach and feta cheesy bread he asked me if I wanted sauce and then replied it was extra to my frustration but I agreed to add ranch. He took my credit card and then disappeared, did not tell me how long the wait would be etc. After twenty minutes of waiting, listening to the employees joke around, I was given the order I opened it up and saw the ranch was there and the bread looked ok but being that the ingredients are stuffed inside I wanted to wait to get home. I got home and ate two pieces to discover I was given plain cheesy bread. Whatever mistakes happen.
However, I called the store and told them what happened and was greeted with pure hostility not once did they say sorry. They put the person who took my order on the phone but he insisted I did not order spinach cheesy bread. I told him I want my money back and he replied I had to bring my order back. I told them they should pick it up because it was their error but they refused and told me to get my
money back I would have to return to the store. I walked back to the store have them my order and they told me to keep it which I told them I never wanted it in the first place. The manager then proceeded to pull out cash for the refund to which I asked to get the money back on the card. He then told me «it’s already been done. It should be 8 – 10 business days» if it was already done why was he counting cash? Then I asked him for proof in writing for the refund being that they can’t get one simply order right to which is handed me a torn receipt that said «bad order and then a six digit number» nothing that said void or any price on it. Then I has to demand him give me my receipt back. So 20 minutes of waiting, 20minutes of walking and I ended with nothing.
Wrong orders and mistakes happen often but blaming the customer and not apologizing? Unforgivable. I should have been given my money back with the correct order.
I will never ever spend a dime on dominos again, papa johns and local pizza for me.

I just called to place an order for delivery due to the fact that I am on crutches with a broken ankle. They denied my order due to their newly implemented «will not walk up steps rule» (per the manager I spoke with). I will never order from this location again.

I don’t review much on Unilocal but I feel I should start. My first contribution: This Domino’s is THE WORST I have ever had. I love Domino’s but I will never order from here again. I keep going back thinking maybe it was an off day for them but no, this place is consistently horrible in all aspects of food service. Get a new manager and new employees in here please.

Of course the food is amazing but this location in South Slope has to be THE WORST DOMINOES EVER! At least during weeknights. I don’t know which time was worse, the time they forgot to put our pizza in the oven while they decided to horse around in the back. Or the horrible customer service. I will say that we’ve never had a problem on the weekends. The food always seems to take extremely long except for this last time for some reason. But of course the trade-​off to that was that the cashier tried to short-​change us (in their defense, it’s only the second time they’ve tried that lol). Like I said though, it does only seem to happen during the week nights and it’s only this one location, so I don’t want it to look like I’m just a Dominoes hater. Just looks like the place needs new management.

My pizza was late. It took nearly an hour to deliver 1 medium pizza literally 3 blocks. My delivery time said 37 minutes, it was over 50. This location is at 15^th street and 5^th ave. I live at 18^th street and 5^th ave. From the time the online pizza tracker said the delivery guy left to the time he arrived was half an hour at least… to go 3 blocks. I could jog there in less than 3 minutes.
I left specific instructions for the deliverer to ring my floor and I would buzz them in– like I do anytime I have ever ordered food from anywhere (pizza or otherwise) in New York. I had to call the store twice to see where my order was, and in the middle of the second call I finally received a call from the deliverer. He said that he had arrived and that «he was going to need me to come downstairs and meet him.» I asked him why. He replied «Because the deliverers don’t go upstairs, that’s why.»
So, defeating my purpose for ordering food in the first place, I walked downstairs unequipped for the cold, waited for the deliverer to get out of his car and bring me my pizza, and he left. Obviously, I will NEVER order from this Domino’s again. Poor customer service, long wait times, and I mean… its Domino’s. If it’s not convenient, then what is it?
*PS: The pizza was lukewarm when it finally did arrive. So, there’s that.

Wow the harshness for poor dominoes.
As for Dominoes in general: Despite the major facelift the company put forward, the pizza to me, seems pretty much the same as during my college days. The biggest additions are more customizable options and toppings and the eye-​candy novelty of their online ordering system.
As for THIS Dominoes: It was fine. Ordered for pickup (seems a lot of people here specifically had delivery issues). Ordered one of their online featured deals, did 1 add-​on topping, everything was as it should be.
Dominoes experience overall: If you follow the path of the righteous man, you take the deals they throw your way, order online, pickup and save more, spend 15 bucks for 2.5 meals and appreciate it for the cheap but tasty pizza/​sandos they are. When you take Dominoes in the right context, as Radiohead said – everything, everything in it’s right place.
