I started Zumba classes with my mother in law and her best friend we are all on a mission to lose weight together. Mel is an outgoing very energetic person who makes the class that much more fun. It’s a INVITING PLACE. It’s a good stress relief as well. It’s a fun class with reasonable prices.

I’ve compared prices for Salsa dancing in all of Brooklyn and Manhattan, and none compares to Dance Atlantic. While in the city, prices avg to $ ²⁰⁄₁ hr class/​once a week, DA’s price is $ 55/​month/​2hr class once a week (1 hr for shines and 1 hr of partner work). Prices may be reduced if you’re a college student or coming in as a couple! I have taken classes with Winsome before, but her classes are so packed that I quit after the 6^th week and honestly didn’t learn a thing. DA’s classes are a good size with a spacious studio, instructors that will actually stop and teach you if don’t know the step. I’ve learned quite a substantial amount and would highly recommend learning salsa here. Mel is the owner and a sweetheart, very down-​to-​Earth and easily to speak with. There are other classes, you can take if interested, such as Zumba, Bachata, and cha cha. Kids classes are also available.

If you’re looking for a warm atmosphere, friendly and engaging dance teachers, then this is a great place to bring your kids. My daughters (9 and 13 years old) take a variety of classes and have become better, stronger, dancers.
