Asked for a chai latte, saw them use the powdered pre-made chai flavoring. Not worth my five dollars. I also asked for a medium and got a large and charged for a large. I immediately took a sip and it was incredibly sweet. Do not recommend any chai drinks since it’s made from the powdered chai mix…

For the most part this place is pretty good. The issue is that they don’t clearly pay attention to what the customer is asking. You tell them what you want, they don’t do it. I’ve had to go back in and return pastries because the failed to do what is requested. This location get a lot of traffic. So I believe this is related to rushing and simply not paying attention. Their work shows they can very very sloppy at times. You place an order and before you can finish what you are trying to order, they are rushing over to the other side to try and make what you want as if they are on a game show. Stop. Listen. Then proceed to fulfill the customers order. That shit annoys me big time. Then when they bring back what you ordered, they have to return back to the work station to finish the rest of your order because they didn’t listen in the beginning! Now I have a cold muffin, butter slopped on it. Sitting there. I love going to smaller coffee shops because they tend to be more attentive as opposed to places like Starbucks. Please, get y’alls shit together. #fuckingannoyed

Worst bagels in the area because they have the state Connecticut in their name. I had the cinnamon raisin bagel with butter and they barely put any butter on it. It just tasted like plain bread. I also ordered the vegetable cream cheese on an everything and again barely any cream cheese. This is a definite red flag if you’re a New Yorker, as bagels need to be stuffed with the cream cheese. Very disappointed. Why go here when there are other places?

Great place. Great coffee and cakes. Great staff, warm, friendly and fun. Forget Sbucks and come here!

Do not play MUZAK! I came here on a Thursday evening just wanting to chill and write for a while but ended up having to put headphones on because of the horrible smooth jazz being played, only broken up by the most overplayed soul hits. Don’t play what you think white people want to hear. If anything, just play the music you like and people will respect it or perhaps even enjoy it(at a certain volume). I’ve never been subjected to such horrible music in a BK café. ***** because everything else was fine an this is an easy fix.

Woman got my order wrong. But I figured the line was too long to say anything. Still tastes good. Staff is friendly. Make sure you are not in a rush when you come. Service is slow if your ordering a breakfast sandwich because everything is cooked on a little stove vs being microwaved. Which is kinda awesome since most places and coffee houses it’s microwaveable eggs.

Super nice staff, quick service(when there aren’t 25 kids and strollers in front of you). Baked goods are pretty average but good. Not the worst and not the best. Almond croissant is a new favorite. Only complaint is consistency — every once in awhile my latte will have wayyyy too much syrup or the wrong one and will taste different. Other than that it’s a solid go-to coffee spot.

This place is average. I don’t really get what a «connecticut muffin» is though? I didn’t see any normal blueberry options but maybe I was there too late in the day. Muffins seemed fresh but the cashier was aloof. She messed up our order and almost forgot to charge us for half of it.

This spot is ok. I usually go for breakfast. I always order blueberry Bagle. it’s very good. The only thing that I find a little annoying is that when you ask to put just little cream cheese they still add a big chunk. I always find my self redoing it. They serve freshly made products and they have all different types to choose from. The lemonade for the summer is good too.

This place is *meh*. I go there on week days or when it’s raining. The coffee and pastries are decent(it is a chain so my expectations are not high). Most of the time, the staff is pretty good. BUT, lately there’s a dude there who couldn’t make a cup of tea if his life depended on it. He squints as if in pain every time he has to find the right cup size, I mean wtf? I really wish they’d have him do something else, because every time he takes my order it’s a waste of time and money. I have literally stopped going there because of him: /.

THENEWGUYISKILLINGME. If you’ve gone there recently, you know the one. Lanky, awkward, horn rimmed glasses, blasé acting young dude. I swear I feel like I was served by Napoleon Dynamite. This poor guy can’t do anything right. And I’m talking basics. After 3 disastrous attempts at a cappuccino(never mind the fact that they were not even halfway to the size they were charging me for), I switched to green tea, which he mystifyingly ALSO messed up by making black tea. Today was the last straw when he managed to mess up a simple coffee. I know you’re not a specialty coffee place, I know you’re not curing cancer in the back, but for the love of caffeine, get rid of this dude, ANYONE else will do.

Fulton & Lafayette location. Zero Stars. Went in for coffee and it was luke warm and burnt. I asked for my money back and I was told by Shakura that there are no refunds. I then asked her to call the owners of CM so they could tell me that there are no refunds. While she was dialing she told the other associate that«I must’ve put too much milk in my coffee». I drink my coffee black. Shakura then informed me that her bosses were not picking up and she left a message. I don’t want my money back, but CM will never get any of my money again.

Decent(ish) coffee… I suppose it’ll do if you’re in a rush. The wifi is always spotty and the dude that works there in the morning seems to cough without covering his mouth… pretty gross.

I had a pumpkin spice coffee, which was pretty good… however, the décor inside this Connecticut Muffin actually left me craving a Starbucks(and I HATE Starbucks). Not the cozy«un-Starbucks» coffee shop I was hoping it to be. We need a Peet’s Coffee Shop out here already… I’m just sayin’…

I used to come here with my friend once in awhile when I used to go to college around there. The place is pretty standard; they got some tables in the back where you can sit to eat /drink what you got or just work on something on your laptop. The selection of panni and sandwichs are a bit limited but they also got some drinks and pastries available. I had their apple turnover once, it was too flaky and barely and apples. It just made a mess . I do like getting their teas here tho. Some of their teas they got they seems to bag it themselves. It seems to be high quality stuff as well. This is a good place to just grab a drink and sit and relax with a friend or two. To catch up and talk about the good of days.

I love their espresso and come back for vanilla lattes whenever I am in the area. However, they tend to run out of things quite often and the sandwiches are kinda blah. Still, it is a decent place for some coffee.

I’ve had a love affair with Connecticut muffin since 2010, when I’ve had the pleasure to visit the store in Park Slope, on Prospect Park. When my office moved to Fort Green/Clinton Hill, I was excited to find this place. I went around 2pm(my usual lunch break) and had a beef chili, and a curry chicken salad on multigrain bread. The food all tastes the same, decent and edible. I was and am a fan of the scones, cookies, and cakes. Service at this location was attentive. But it can get a little noisy because of high school kids walking by and attempting to hang out in the store. But the staff managed to usher them out quietly.

I never really read anyone else’s reviews on things because my level of care for other people’s opinions are generally slim to none, unless of course I’m in desperation for a second opinion, or third. The staff at this location are attentive. They have an interesting process of handling customers on line, where they’ll generally have 3 people behind the counter, and if they’re free, they help the next person in line(which in my opinion makes things go a lot faster, and it’s nice that they do that). I can’t stand going to cafes where there are 3 people behind the counter, the line is getting long, but only one person is handling customers while the other two are barely doing anything or utilizing their time with minimal effort. The coffee could be better, but I’m not a coffee snob. I’m an iced coffee fan and their iced coffee, black, with some sugar is OK. It has a slight burnt taste to it, but it’s not horrible. Their bagels are good in my opinion, even in the mid afternoon. They’re still soft and tasty. Perhaps I’ll review the next time I’m in a rush to go somewhere. Since everyone is in a rush, if they don’t get prompt white glove service, the review and ratings go to hell since people can’t wake up 30 minutes early.

So check it, I walked in after fiening for a chocolate chip cookie. I saw them on the counter and was greeted with a huge smile from the counter girl. Did she like my shades or was she just being warm and friendly? Anyway, $ 2 later and chocolate all over my face, I would say Connecticut Muffin, you have a new fan.

I really needed something quick to eat one day and stopped in Connecticut Muffin. Woops! Bad choice! This place is pretty gross, with almost no selection at 1:30 pm. The guy behind the counter, on that afternoon, was clearly not in love with his job, complaining about how he has to do everything. I got something small(bagel with pb &j) to eat and sat down to use the wifi. Glad there was wifi, but it wasn’t a very good signal and it kept disappearing. The guy had to be asked 2 or 3 times to reset it. Oh, and the bagel I was eating was stale and didn’t taste very good. Bad service, gross food and the one redeeming quality(wifi) sucked!
