Great place. Great service. I was in the mood for a hearty breakfast in Brooklyn and I’m so glad we came across this place. I would just advise to get here early on a weekend because this joint gets packed quickly. I had scrambled eggs, four stripes of bacon, and their amazing version of hash potatoes(at least I think it was, but tastier) as well as two slices of buttered toast. They served us complimentary water and fresh orange juice with my our coffee. And the price was reasonable for the Brooklyn Heights area.

It was good. I’m really into seasoning and my omelette wasn’t very seasoned. Overall though this place was good.

Such a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful part of Brooklyn! I came here with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon, looking for brunch spots and Clark’s has all day breakfast. I ordered the French toast with strawberries, whipped cream and a side of bacon. The French toast was fluffy and really soaked in the syrup. Definitely recommend. Bacon was crispy and delicious. My friend ordered the eggs avocado breakfast. A nice twist on eggs Benedict! Really enjoyed it. Both portions were big and filling. Service is on point. The waiters are attentive and nice. Feel like this place is a hidden gem because it was so empty, but will come back and bring other friends here if I’m ever in the area!

This place was great! I was in Dumbo and found this as a nice brunch spot. The five of us got seated in no less than five minutes. I had the eggs florentine. While I thought this was all that I was getting, it also came with home fries, toast, coffee/tea, and orange juice! The florentine was one of the greatest I’ve ever had. The eggs perfectly yokey and sprinkled with cheese. Spinach was not overcooked and was a nice complement. The highlight of the meal was definitely the orange juice! It came in a tiny 4 oz glass and was freshly squeezed. SOGOOD, just the right amount of sweetness and did I mention is was FREE! Very satisfied with the place and the price wasn’t bad either — only $ 12 for everything! Will definitely return if I’m in town again.

Came here on a weekday morning to catch up with an old friend. We expected to chat for a while, and this seemed like a good spot because it wasn’t busy. I arrived first, and I noticed a sign by the front door saying, NOLAPTOPS. That should’ve been the hint that this was a place that wanted you to get in and out as soon as possible. My friend was late, and even though there were plenty of seats in the restaurant, I noticed the staff was antsy. They hovered around me, asking me if I wanted to order yet even though I had already told them I was waiting for someone. After my friend arrived, we got coffee, juice, pancakes, and Belguim waffles. The food was good, but standard diner stuff. Once we were finished, our plates were taken away and the check arrived, but my friend and I continued to chat and I kept drinking my coffee. While still chatting and drinking my coffee, a busboy came and took away our waters and my coffee cup, which still had coffee in it. The clear message was GETTHE F– OUT, even though there were still plenty of open seating. The encounter was laughably rude and because they weren’t busy, it seemed weird to place a time limit; but that seems to be important to Clark’s.

This place was recommended by friends and it sure didn’t disappoint! Fabulous food, reasonably priced. They have a nice selection of foods to choose from, something for everyone. I started off with the Yankee bean soup which had a nice flavor, thick broth with white beans and veggies, made from scratch. I then moved on to the salad, mixed greens with homemade vinaigrette dressing. For my main course I had baked meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and carrots. The meatloaf came on its own plate topped with brown gravy with mushrooms. Everything about it was good! The portions are very generous, everything is fresh and made right there on site. I went home with enough food for another meal which I am already looking forward to eating! Great coffee. The staff there is phenomenal, very friendly and personable.

It’s a local favourite and landmark for a reason… Great food with big menu, super fast and friendly service, and always busy — so come before 11 on weekends to get seated quickly. After 12pm the wait can be an hour or more. Haven’t been here for dinner or during the week but I’m sure it’s just as good. Brunch portions are big, and they have turkey bacon which is nice. I usually get the clark’s poached eggs with hass avocado — and I end up confusing the waiters when I ask for florentine(spinach and feta) on top of that, but it’s too damn good to not ask for. Hollandaise sauce isn’t too lemony. Highly recommend it. Coffee is hot, fresh and tasty — and they keep it coming! Their big breakfast will definitely fill you up too, and comes with a small sipping glass freshly squeezed OJ — refreshing. Prices are great too — about $ 40 for two including tax and tip, and that’s with the pricier entrees and additions.

This place looks adorable and very promising from the outside — it’s in a beautiful part of Brooklyn. Walking by you can see plants and classic café tables inside through a wall of windows that resembles the sun rooms on old New England houses. I was not expecting diner food when I walked in, but was happy to try this place nonetheless. As I settled in, I noticed that the plants were fake, that the faux«European» décor was a bit of a miss, and there was classical music playing in the background. Of course, none of these things, alone or in combination, is a deal breaker or even necessarily a negative. But there did seem to be a disconnect between the décor and the final result, and between the atmosphere and the food. Ultimately it was still a pleasant place to have a casual lunch; it was not too loud and the classical music was a welcome change of pace from most other restaurants and stores. The food was not expensive but was not great tasting, either. I got a grilled cheese with tomato and pesto and a chocolate milkshake, and my partner got a burger and fries. I forgot to ask for the sandwich to be made with mozzarella cheese and so it came with cheddar. The two didn’t clash terribly like I thought they would, but that is because the sandwich was bland. The consistency of the milkshake was closer to milk than ice cream, and was overpriced at $ 5.25. The burger was reportedly good, but not great. It’s possible to eat cheaply here — my sandwich was $ 7.25 — but the more expensive entrees were still reasonably priced at around $ 13.(Of course, I’m not a New Yorker, so perhaps that is still considered cheap to some!) I had to ask for the check 3 times, but all of the waiters I talked to(all three of them — there seemed to be some switching off) were very nice.

Clark’s is so, so good. We’ve probably been ordering from Clark’s every week since we discovered it. The food is always delicious, portions huge, and service is good(take out/delivery is pretty fast too). I’ve tried a lot of the items on their menu at this point. Some of my favorite dishes are the omelets, egg wraps, and specialty sandwiches(especially the tuna melt). I think these are some of the best omelets and egg wraps I’ve ever had. The disco fries are also amazing.

I am SO glad that I ate at Clark’s this morning. Classy atmosphere — they’re playing Beethoven, it sounds like. Really nice décor. But what deserves a huge round of applause is their NEWYORKER — Salmon Benedict. Wow. I practically live for breakfast. This Benedict was hands down the best I’ve had in a year. No doubt I’ll be back here many times. Probably before the week is out. Great job, Clark’s! You’re killing it!

Finally! A good diner within walking distance for me. Located on the corner of beautiful Henry Street on Clark Street, you can’t miss it. There’s floor to ceiling windows and it’s well lit making it alluring. I used to work nearby and would have breakfast but what prompted this review was their grilled chicken sandwich. It tasted fresh, not frozen, and the turkey burger was also good. It looks a little fancy for a diner, but the prices are far from expensive. I don’t know if it was because it was during the holidays, but the only thing I would change was the classical music that played nonstop while I was there.

I first discovered Clark’s when I was walking around the neighborhood while apartment hunting, trying to get acquainted with the area. Though I didn’t end up moving there, Clark’s would absolutely become a major go-to for me if I lived around there. It’s a diner, but super classy and well-kept. They had lovely relaxing classical music playing, and the service was so top-notch you may as well have been in a white tablecloth restaurant. It seems to be a popular spot for breakfast, but I highly enjoyed my dinner there as well. They have a huge menu of dishes ranging from a pizza burger to a steak dinner. My turkey burger was fresh and tasty, and the fries were perfectly prepared — not one mealy fry in sight! The thing I keep going back to is how quick, professional, and friendly the service was. It warms my heart to know that in an age where everyone seems to be rushing you in and out of businesses, Clark’s makes it a point to create an environment that makes you want to linger!

It’s been a year since we discovered Clarks and while we hoped to return to enjoy this superb breakfast option sooner than this, it was well worth the wait. My husband and I made the trek to Brooklyn after an overnight in Manhattan hopping the A train for a less than 30 min/no changes trip early on a December Sunday. It was a short walk through Cadman park from the subway stop. There were 2 couples ahead of us but we were quickly seated at a delightful window seat. We each ordered the«big breakfast», mine with Brioche French Toast while my husband chose the pancake combo. Each entrée is accompanied by coffee, a small fresh squeezed OJ, bacon, sausage AND ham. My «over medium» eggs were cooked perfectly as was everything else on my plate. We enjoyed the sausage in particular. We added a large OJ as we remembered it was that good… it was excellent! Service was prompt and efficient. Now that we’ve discovered how easy it was to reach, we will return!

We grabbed a mid-morning breakfast from here after a run across the Brooklyn bridge. The location is easy access from the bridge and is exceptionally close to the train. Overall what keeps this place from five stars is the service. While he was quick and efficient, our waiter was unpleasant despite our best efforts to be friendly and accommodating customers. Food was great! Order a large orange juice… It is fresh squeezed and amazing. My eggs florentine was very well prepared and I imagine was representative of the rest of the food quality! Top notch! Prices were reasonable.

Super fast delivery to the downtown BK area. It took less than 20 minutes after submitting my online order before they showed up with our cheese fries and philly cheesesteak(sans onions and peppers, THANKS for getting it right!). I’d order from them again. I also need to visit the restaurant proper for some diner food.

Clark’s Restaurant looks like a diner, feels like a diner, smells like a diner, has a menu like a diner, has a counter like a diner, is a diner. It seems to be a bit cheaper than the diner on Cadman Plaza West. But that’s not why I visited Clark’s Restaurant. I was on jury duty and Clark’s Restaurant is mightly close to the courthouse and needed a quick lunch. Clark’s Restaurant has their own version of an Eggs Benedict dish that I’ve been eyeing. They named it after themselves, Clark’s Poached Eggs with Avocado, $ 13.35 including tax. It’s two poached eggs, avocado, bacon, on two crispy potato pancakes, and topped with hollandaise sauce. The crispy potato pancakes were not greasy, thank goodness, but were a little overly crisp for me. The poached eggs were slightly overcooked and didn’t ooze enough which would have helped the overly crispy potato pancakes. I could have used more hollandaise sauce too. Their sauce was a bit too thick for me. I rather it be saucier but it was okay. Would I try this dish again… I love eggs and potato pancakes together so yes, if I was in the neighborhood again for jury duty. …my jury duty lunch adventures continue…

Party of two for a late afternoon Saturday lunch. We were immediately seated by the window. A nice American diner with quaint rich gold ambience without the typical diner cushion booths. I like the European décor as it appears of a luxury European home. Clark’s Restaurant is walking distance from the Promenade and Brooklyn Bridge close to Pineapple Walk. Background music is classic piano as a healing touch to fit my current physical state recovery from recent open surgery. Our waitress was hustling busy serving as many tables possible without any assistance. She was either nervous or unfocused dropping utensils during every table clean-up or grabbing too much plates in her hands. By the power of observation, the entire time under our waitress’s reign she wore a very dirty white blouse with a gargantuan dark brown coffee/tea stain visibly noted. Ick, not good physical presentation skills. Can the manager or co-worker lend her another white blouse for her work shift? No one did obviously and sadly. We ordered: Grilled cheddar Cheese with Hamburger & Fried Onions $ 8.25 Grilled cheddar Cheese with a ham Baked potato Soda Reasonable priced. Good quality food. My grilled cheese sandwich was served piping hot and plentiful to eat my fill and the burger meat was juicy. Cold slaw and pickles are accompanied with our meal. Service is attentive, aside from our waitress’s gargantuan dark brown coffee/tea stain on her white blouse. I was scanning the menu and their pasta entrées appears very enticing as well as their deluxe burgers. Hmm, juicy! Online ordering is available.
