Date night with the misses, she chose this spot. The restaurant is small however there is outdoor seating around the perimeter. There was a little wait before we got the order in, but once we did things started rolling. I had the super tacos which basically comes with the works guac, pico de gallo, sour cream, etc. My date had a chicken burrito which was very filling, she only ate half lol. This is a great place with genuine food and an extensive menu, including breakfast. We shall definitely return. Oh yea. Best margaritas ever.

This place is pretty great. I order from them a lot, or pick up food and go to Sycamore. The one time I sat down we had a waiter who was clearly in training, which was pretty amusing but didn’t impact the overall quality of our experience. The food is great, and the prices are awesome.

Two words: SUPER.NACHOS. I get them with chicken tinga which, considering there’s jalapeño in this too, makes me a maniac. I’m a nacho fiend and these are probably the best I’ve ever had. I will eat the entire thing myself and not even regret it like I do with the other crap I put in my body. I will put in an extra hour(or two) of cardio just to have it. I’ve told my husband that if I’m on death row, one of the things I’d like as my last meal are these nachos. No shame. They recently renovated so it’s way cuter now. They deliver but are currently not on Seamless — important because although they’re nice, the phone is in the kitchen so sometimes they can’t hear me or vice versa. But I will gladly yell SUPERNACHOSCHICKENTINGA as much as I need to. The tostadas are great too, and I’m glad they make it because most places don’t. Just assume you’ll make a mess. Not a great place to impress someone for this reason. I’ve heard the burritos are good but I never got around to them(probably never will because I like what I like). I live nearby but I would travel to this place.

It’s average, what can I say? Some places murder the taco. Greasy, bland, Americanized. Cinco de Mayo gets a B/B-. It’s decent enough. And their burritos are stuffed to the gills, but it’s a crap shoot every time you order. Sometimes you’ll get pockets of nothing while all the meat and cheese and beans are wedged into one corner. Inconsistent. It’s like they inject novocaine into the cook’s hands and then he tries to roll the burrito with marionette-like imprecision. The tacos are good enough, I guess. Flavorful sometimes. Again, inconsistent, as I’ve eaten here a few times. Not very creative. You can tell when the meat’s been sitting for a while. Definitely not made to order. You want a taco? Eat here. You don’t want a taco? Don’t eat here. It’s that simple. Just don’t expect too much and you’ll be fine.

I think everyone else might disagree with me… but eff it, it’s an opinion! Cinco de Mayo is first off, affordable – A+ for me! With upcoming renovations… it might not be soo affordable. I have never been to Mexico so I do not know how authentic this place is, but I do not like corn tortilla or the iceberg lettuce served here… come to think of it, this is probably why they’re affordable. In all fairness, I have not tried much here. Nachos are a 6⁄10 and burritos 7⁄10. THEPORKTACOS(with additional green sauce) are pretty good… but the corn tortillas on them can take hike(authentic or not). :) Regardless… my #squadd loves this place so I will be a regular.

I used to really love this place until I had calexico in park slope. Now I realize that this food really isn’t that great. It’s convenient though.

I love their menu! It’s a local owned Mexican restaurant in Brooklyn and ever since I’ve gone, I love it! The prices are really affordable for all age groups from high school to families. Their menu has a variety of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I love getting their enchiladas and tacos. The wait isn’t long. Definitely try it out if you’re in the area.

Really love their food! Super fresh and yummy. I’ve been ordering from them for a few years now, and their food is always fresh and consistent. I’ve never had an issue with their food. I also work across the street and they’ve been too kind in delivering to me when I’m going hard in the office. It’s a small place but give them a try — you’ll love it :}

Been going to this restaurant for 15 years! Yes I settled in the neighborhood before the current hipster/yuppie gentrification … The food has always been good, quick and relatively inexpensive — although as the neighborhood has gentrified, the price has gone up… Meal for one: two chicken super tacos, with a serving of freshly-made chips and delicious homemade salsa — plus a frosty margarita with salt — Overall the food is consistent, authentic and delicious!

Good spot for tacos and spanish food. It is simple, minimalistic, and offer food and drinks for prices that may bar little to high for the kind of food they offer(which is very basic food), but fair price for a restaurant located in a developing area on Cortelyou. They still have a long way to go if they want to improve, starting with the delivery. They take only cash, and they are only delivering to people who live right by them. Good tacos, simple people. Give it a chance.

Can’t believe I didn’t review here before. What better place for celebrating Cinco De Mayo, then AT Cinco de Mayo! We had a great time. Seated right away, surprisingly for being a smaller place. Fast service, friendly staff. Had several different Mexican beers available, plus other drink specials. The super nachos were awesome, always a hit. And with the cold weather back, I’ll usually stop by and grab some of the soup to go home with. Hits the spot!

I have been coming here for at least 10 years. I love it and think the food is flavorful and consistent. It’s a great neighborhood place. When they closed for renovations I panicked but am happy to see that they’re still around.

Great spot for quick tacos. If you’re in the area looking for a good cheap meal I would suggest this place. My only problem is the service when it comes to the calls. They always have a busy phone so calling in advance is pretty tough. Overall it’s not bad.

I’m not big on Mexican food, but this place was AMAZING. My boyfriend and I pretty much had to roll ourselves out of the restaurant by time we were done. The food was so fresh and absolutely delicious. Our waitress and bus boy were kind and helpful. We left feeling full and satisfied with our $ 20 bill. The only thing wrong with this place(and it’s very minor) is that the inside has a small seating area. But that didn’t bother us one bit. I’d highly recommend this place to everyone.

I have never been inside but I ordered from them. They don’t have a ton of vegetarian options but nonetheless, I got a vegetable enchilada meal. They delivered quickly, the delivery man was nice, and everything was wrapped so neatly. I really enjoyed my food and will definitely be eating takeout from them again.

My boyfriend and I were feeling adventurous so we decided to give this place a try… HUGE let down. The food wasn’t good and this place doesn’t understand customer service. We asked for nachos and guacamole dip along with salsa sauce(I prefer guacamole and my boyfriend prefers salsa sauce) The chips were so deeply fried that they cut up the bridge inside of our mouths. We asked to return it and also the salsa sauce(because my boyfriend didn’t like it) The waitress snapped back saying that noone had ever complained about the chips and looked at us like we had 7 heads. I calmly said: Please take this back and I will keep the guacamole. Long story short: I will not go back.

First time here and service was horrible, the waiter was not paying any attention. My husband asked for water 3 times before he got it. The waiter did not once asked if we needed anything from the 1 ½ hour we were there. The food was descent but will not be back with that service

Quick service and smiley people, but i think the food is too greasy, and the Tacos could be much better. I love Tacos so i think i can say when the Tacos are not so good. I guess they need fresher products, or give some more time to the meat to cook well. I have been here before, and probbaly return here, but i will give them one more chance.
