We’ve been twice now — once for dinner, once for brunch, and both times we were very pleased! For dinner we had the quesadilla & salmon burger. For brunch, the chilaquiles & huevos rancheros. Everything was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. Psyched these guys are here!

Really cool feel in this place, for sure, but I wish some of the food could back that up! We ordered guacamole, but we had to send it back because it wasn’t fresh at all(actually was almost brown), and then they said it was the last guacamole they had, so we just got salsa instead — which was really pico de galo. Chips are fresh and have blue and white corn based. As vegetarian options are slim, we had the fish tacos with a side of french fries(took a long time to get our food) — fish was okay but very greasy and overloaded with mayo which I would’ve liked on the side. Cabbage-based coleslaw was pretty good, much more fresh than most of the food we had. The fries were very soggy, but the beet ketchup was a nice, unusual touch. Overpriced for just getting 2 tacos, kind of ridiculous at $ 6 per taco. In the end, they still charged us for the guacamole! Unbelievable. Won’t be back.

Delish burgers, quality margaritas and good draft beers. Family friendly spot with nice wait staff. Stopped here off and on since it opened and never disappointed. Read other reviews that claim mango seed margaritas are stronger and mid wood flats burgers are better. Could be so but I am a mom with a toddler and those places aren’t great for kids. Burger Mexicano, blue bird and park side pizza are my go to spots in the hood because they are all toddler friendly.

This was my favorite summer/fall spot! I love the food. the Salmon Burger and fries are so delicious. The fish tacos are really good too and the calamari is excellent! Not the typical Mexican spot but I love how the vibe is plus they have great music. Not to mention the drinks are fantastic!!! Once the summer rolls back around I’ll be going back with friends for Watermelon margaritas! By the way, all the margarita flavors are good. And the staff is awesome! Great people, great restaurant for our neighborhood.

The food is good, but it is expensive and delivery SUCKS. It took over an HOUR for our food to show up. And the beet ketchup is really strange. Fail.

First, the burgers are really good. I’ve tried a good array of them, and each time they were great. However, they’re pretty expensive. A burger with tip is about $ 19, and honestly not worth the price. Midwood Flats is just down the block and their burgers are just as delicious and a bit cheaper($ 12 not including tip). Also, ask for regular catchup because the beet catchup is strange. It’s not as sweet as I like my catchup to be, so if you’re the same, ask for regular catchup. The drinks are way too expensive and not strong enough. On a positive note, they have a wide variety of margarita flavors. However, my boyfriend and I had to order doubles the last time we came(and only time we drank) because the first drink was pretty much all mixer. BUT, they recently raised the price of a flavored margarita from $ 7 to $ 8, so maybe the drinks are stronger now? IDK, and I’m not sure I’ll ever come back to check because if you go about 6 blocks down Flatbush, you can get fan-freaking-tastic margaritas at Mango Seed. Lastly, the last time I came, I tried to venture out of my burger shell and so I ordered their special shrimp and rice. It was so bland and boring and it had peas in it. Like, ew. For $ 20, I could have gotten almost two orders of the most delicious shrimp at Jus Fishy down just a few doors down. Service wise, the bartenders and servers are all very nice and attentive. In sum, I think there are much better options nearby, but go ahead and try it. Make sure you get a burger and nothing else, and if your drinks aren’t strong enough, push back to your waiter and maybe they’ll start making them stronger.

I kinda wanted to rate less but the place actually exceeded my expectations. I was pretty annoyed waiting for the table — mad white people made me just be all: eyeroll emoji: like, go home yall, i’m trying to eat. the menu was mad confusing — why do you have pastrami? wtf is up with this beet ketchup? I don’t understand the marscapone on a burger, but okay. once we finally got a seat, we ordered nachos with guac, the texas lonestar burger(aren’t we in Mexico and not Texas?), and the quesadilla with brisket. once it all came(which took longer than my hungry, hungry stomach wanted) everything was delicious. the burger was rare as FUCK and perfect. the brisket was not nearly as spicy as expected. the nachos were massive and plentiful. all in all, happy to have this place in the hood. BOMB ass burger and it actually comes with FRIES unlike midwood flats. but I’ll pass on that beet ketchup.(thankfully they have Heinz!) maybe I’ll just come in earlier to eat next time. ps: Emanuel wasn’t our waiter but he kicked so much more ass than our actual waiter. thanks, bro! Hope they seat me in your section next time!

They put us in a bullshit ass table– near the toilet my sensitive sniffer keeps smelling pooo — they fill the the water you drink from the bathroom sink. The food took an hour to come, they ask the temperature I want the burger, we say medium it comes… WELL!!! Service sucked. This place has a bunch of problems, open. Your. Eyes. PLG. Not that bomb, really Margaritas were yum.

++ — It’s a lot bigger than it looks from the outside — Daily special makes for a greater variety — burgers looked good + — We got two daily specials it was a loooot of food — decent, but not great, margaritas — I liked the wife’s enchiladas better than my ribs — The décor is nice and festive — Wait staff is friendly TIPS: — The place opened at 5:30 on a Friday, it was packed by 6:15 Suggestion: — get a website, post your hours, I’ve been by the place four times, and three of them, they weren’t open

Every time New York City gets a new, good Mexican restaurant, somewhere out there an angel gets its wings. With the fall of LPT, Burger Mexicano has finally filled the margarita shaped hole in my heart. Denizens of NYC know that it can be a cruel mistress, and a $ 5 margarita really helps to make the medicine go down. The food is great, though the menu is a bit schizophrenic in its desire to appeal to the every man(damn him). Aside from the guacamole, I tend to stick to that square in the lower left of the menu with the tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Hopefully that square will only continue to grow, because really, do we need fried calamari at a place called Burger Mexicano? I’ve chowed my way through all the meat/veggie and salsa options offered in the taco dishes and loved them all– the fish tacos(mysteriously located on their lonesome in the upper right of the menu) might be among my favorites. Dishes come in what I’d say are too large portions, with a healthy serving of rice and beans on the side, so make sure your eyes aren’t bigger than your stomach. Fair warning, vegetarian options are a little slim, but I’ve always found them accommodating about vege-tizing things on request. Staff are warm and generous. Atmosphere is cute and charming, though the place gets cramped during rush times.

This place is really great ! Way better the burrito bar for those who are wondering ! The food is worth the money and the drinks are actually great ! I had the Mac and cheese and a burger ! They were both cooked very well ! & I also had a margarita which was quite tasty ! The place is a lil small so just look out for table being pushed together! Other then that I’m pretty sure you will enjoy it ! The staff is also awesome as well ! This place open up at 5:30 not earlier ! But now they are doing delivery so that’s awesome as well ! Definitely will be coming back !

Terrific place! We stopped there for a lunch and the place exceeded all my expectations! The burger I got(5 Napkin) was delicious, one of the best I ever tried in my life! The place was full, but the service was very fast, we got our food and drinks in minutes and the waiter was very attentive. I also loved the décor, very cozy and welcoming! Highly recommend!

I wish I could like you more. I’m all for new prosperous businesses on Flatbush. When we moved to BK in the early spring, we saw the signs declaring that Burger Mexicano would be open in early summer. We rejoiced. It would be a wonderful welcome addition to the never ending Caribbean restaurants and hair salons that population this neck of the woods. As weeks and months passed, the doors remained closed and we despaired that it might not ever open. Then one day, it was open. The place was swamped with business. Oh, yes, the(White) people of Prospect-Lefferts Gardens were waiting for you, Burger Mexicano, with open arms and more importantly, open wallets. After a couple weeks, we went for dinner. You didn’t need us. You were packed, but there was a small table available. The menu as the name suggests is a mix of Mexican(American-Mexican) food and burgers. But it’s difficult to order food because half the things on the menu aren’t available. We would love to taste your enchiladas, but it’s never there. Not that you ran out. Burger Mexicano just doesn’t have it. So why have it on the menu? The first time I was there, I ordered the salt lick, I mean, the turkey meatloaf. I don’t know what it tasted like because I could only taste the salt. The second time I was there, I had the burger. The beet ketchup was interesting, but I would rather have Heinz. It was a nice burger, but you can get better burgers for less two blocks down at Midwood Flats. The pitcher of margaritas is really good. I recommend coming here to drink and getting food elsewhere.

Dang — this place exceeded all of our expectations! The waiter gave us excellent recommendations and kept our glasses full. I had had a heavy brunch so was looking for something a little lighter; therefore, I ordered the veggie tostada — it was perfect. It was refreshing and very well seasoned. I highly recommend it. My beau got the chicken burrito — which was packed with flavor. In addition, the pieces of corn on the side were out of this world — they were grilled to perfection and then drenched with butter and a chipotle spice.

Cool atmosphere and good food. Came for dinner. Both of us got burgers– the mexicano and the one with marscapone on it(forgot the name of it.) Cooked just right, quality ingredients including tasty meat, and unique toppings. Noisy bc it was crowded. My bf liked that there were tvs showing sports he could watch from the table. Cool décor and overall atmosphere. Too expensive. It was about 12 — 14 bucks for a burger and fries plate, but thats all restaurants in nouveau brooklyn. One of the best local options for a nice dinner out.

I went in on a sunday, before labor day. I sat down at the bar area near the tables and server asked if I wanted a margarita. I wasn’t sure if this was a thing so I said«sure why not?» So later on, I looked at the menu and the server says«So ok you want the chicken sandwich?» And I said umm no and well it turns out he thought I was someone else haha. But I had the burger, the lonestar. It was thick and meaty very nice. Came with fries, the fries were good. Not great, but not bad either. They were good restaurant fries. Overall, it was a good experience and service was relatively quick. So, I’m happy now I have a place in the hood I can go to if I want a good burger.

This place has been packed every day since its grand opening a couple of weeks ago, and I suspect it’s due to the fact that people in the neighborhood are ready for more dining options than the many Jamaican, Caribbean, and Chinese take-out restaurants in the area in addition to a sprinkling of Indian restaurants, pizza joints, and 24-hour delis. As its name perfectly describes, they primarily offer burgers and Mexican fan-favorites like burritos, quesadillas, and other things I wasn’t really paying attention to. I wound up ordering the burrito with beef brisket and a black bean, corn, and chipotle salsa. It didn’t look that big when I first eyed it but I wound up finishing it with slow, labored bites. The burrito is very filling and very tasty, albeit, very oily and kinda flimsy. By oily, I only mean the outside of the burrito(I don’t know why glazing it with oil was necessary) and by flimsy, I mean it fell apart within a minute of me eating it. Still, the brisket, spanish rice, beans, and cheese made for a delicious tortilla-wrapped combo. I tried a little bit of the homemade beet ketchup that came with my friend’s burger and fries, and I actually didn’t mind it. Eaten with fries, I could barely taste the beets but my friend felt differently. My minor gripes are the following: It’s a deceptively small restaurant that tries to pack in more tables, seats, and décor than I think it should. Tables meant for 2 have a 3rd chair that aims to cram in an extra person and things get intimate real fast for anyone sitting at the tightly-arranged tables along the booth. In terms of décor, it’s fun and eclectic while simultaneously cluttered. I think they could’ve pulled it back just a smidge. I also feel some items on the menu are priced a few dollars more than they should be for the neighborhood. Just because it’s prime for change doesn’t mean I’m comfortable spending more than $ 12 for a burger in these parts. But that’s just me.

No. I’d rather continue to have no restaurants in this area than more of these«Enduro» type places, which, in case your don’t know, are all owned by the same guy. Food’s not great, and it’s also not cheap.

This place is terrific! Ambience is adorable. Feels like you’ve stepped outside the city. The staff is friendly. No eye rolling for dietary modifications(Vegans welcome) We had a feast! Counter Culture Burger is strange, but tasty. On the sweet side(bc of sweet potato), and recommend eating with a fork because it falls apart pretty easily. One of the stranger veggie burgers I’ve had, but very nice. Had the veggie tostada salad which was phenomenal, rice and beans, a side of guacamole, chips and salsa, and 2 margaritas for only $ 45! For the amount of food(and quality) we got, we figured the meal would cost somewhere around $ 70. This place is fantastic, and has a great energy. They have a high aim to please the customer, which I hope is sustained for a long time. A great addition to the neighborhood.
