The bartender was knowledgable and knew just how to give us context and contrast to appreciate the wines. They have slightly better water accompanying the drinks then other wine bars nearby.

We had our wedding at Brooklyn Winery. We knew when we first saw it that it was perfect for us. Jessica and Rachel and every one of their staff members were easy to work with, gracious and accommodating. The spaces for the ceremony, dinner and dancing were all beautiful. The food was delicious. Every detail was taken care of so that we had nothing to do but enjoy our ourselves and our family and friends. Our guests were even asked if they needed a cab when they walked out the door. Thank you Jessica and Rachel for making our celebration exactly what we hoped for!

Came here for a wedding this past weekend. It was great and the staff were very nice. I love the rustic look of the place. Charcuterie platter and beer and wine when we got there. Then hors d’œuvre throughout the night, and finally cake and macaroons for dessert. The place is nice but not huge. .we had about 75 people spread out on 2 floors. I would definitely come back here again!

What a great place for any event! The staff is absolutely wonderful. I had the great pleasure of working with Kara who helped me plot and plan our corporate holiday party. Unfortunately the timing wasn’t right and we couldn’t make it happen. I do want to stress how amazing Kara is– she is so detailed, worked with my budget, and planned everything down to the T. Truly a blessing. I will be using this space in the future and definitely plan on working with Kara again. The best!

What a gorgeous, intimate spot! I was brought here thanks to groupon, which offered a special on one of their tours during the summer. The tour group was small, maybe 15 – 20 people max. The actual winery is pretty«small» too — but comparable to a brewery. The tour lasted about an hour if my memory serves correctly, and at the end we were seated in a private room where we sampled about 8 different wines. Included in the tour is a coupon for a free glass of wine to enjoy after the tour has concluded. And let me tell you — these are IMPRESSIVE, LARGE glasses of wine! I’ve only ever come here for that instance, but I was passing it the other day after the gym and I noticed they have a great happy hour special — $ 2 off any glass of wine or $ 10 off a full bottle(not sure if this is applicable to the half bottles… doubtful). I would definitely be here more for HH if I lived in the area. Not to mention the staff is very friendly as well. Side note: I believe they do weddings here(err, maybe just«events»)!

I love the ambiance and the atmosphere here. It just radiates cool. Brooklyn Winery makes their own wine, ergo it is a WINERY. You are welcome to get a tour of it sometime, but for some just eating great food and drinking great wine should be good enough. I had the chance to try a good amount of their food at some point: delicious is what I can say. You really can’t go wrong here. 1. Crispy Brussel Sprouts: delicious, definitely should order as it fulfills a category of both a veggie and something good to eat. 2. Ground Turkey and Golden Raisin Meatballs: are actually quite hearty but without being very over powering. Very tasty without filling you up and making you feel too full for the next delicious thing to eat. 3. Duck Pâté: who DOESN’T love a good pâté? If you don’t, I don’t want to be your friend. 4. Blackened Catfish: quite good actually. Cooked to perfection — really delicious and light. 5. Warm Raised Donuts: surprisingly light and even though it says ’ lavendar sugar’ it doesn’t taste like a scented candle. It is quite to dish to finish your meal off with. In terms of wine, I actually preferred most of their red wines versus their best seller Rose. Certainly take your pick, but the red wines were awesome. Overall, awesome place to come to for delicious food.

My friend and I stayed after a tour and tasting at Brooklyn Winery(part of the Unilocal Brooklyn Born series) and enjoyed more wine and some food at the bar because we just couldn’t leave. This place is gorgeous — from their reclaimed wood to their living wall installations. Their wines are excellent(so much so that my friend and I each bought bottles to bring home) and their food, from what we had, is scrumptious. What more could you want? We had more of their 2012 stainless steel aged riesling, a wine with grapes from the Finger Lakes. To accompany the wine, we shared the cured olives and the brussel sprouts(with candied orange and a maple butter). Get these. I already want to go back and eat more. I am so glad to learn that Brooklyn Winery exists and makes such a high quality product. Do yourself a favor and stop by the next time you’re in Williamsburg.

Words can’t describe how impressed I am with Brooklyn Winery but I’ll try… I recently hosted my wedding reception at the Brooklyn Winery Atrium space. We planned everything pretty close to the date and it was such a pleasant and uncomplicated experience. We planned all the details with Kara, one of the sales managers at BK Winery and she was super attentive, helpful and accommodating given that we planned the event on pretty short notice. We had excellent communication with her which is much appreciated when you have so many other things going on. We went for the cocktail package and extended the open bar for an extra hour since 3 hours felt a bit short. We also supplemented the reserve antipasti which included a few additions to the regular antipasti spread. In addition we brought our own cupcakes which they nicely set up in a cake tier towards the end of the event and our flowers which they also set up for us. When I came to drop these 2 last things off, a few hours before the event the room was still bare. Me and my husband showed up about 15 minutes early to make sure we were there before our guests… we were so amazed at how beautifully everything came together. The antipasti spread was set up by the wall that has the plants, decorated with candles old reclaimed wood boxes… it looked so tasteful and romantic. The open bar was discretely set in one of the corners and a few barrels served as drink tables with stools around them. The décor of the room was absolutely magical. Sean our point person for the evening was super nice, down to earth, professional and always there — as was the rest of the staff that attended the event. All the servers were super classy and helpful. Now for the food: Amazing!!! the antipasti was delicious and plentiful… whenever anything ran out they would replace it so there was always a good variety going. I made it a point to try as much as I could and I was happy I did. The cheeses in the antipasti were great, the turkey meatballs were outstanding and so were the rest of the passed appetizers. We chose the steak tartare, fluke crudo, salmon bites, kimchee cupcakes and bahn mi portobello sliders. They were all delicious! The wine selection was great, 2 reds(cab and zinfandel) 2 whites(reisling and chardonnay). I’m usually not a fan of chardonnay but I ended up having this one all night and it was great. I also heard some rave reviews for the zinfandel. When the end time for the event was approaching, the staff discretely told the guests that it was last call and little by little they started picking up. At no point did it feel intrusive or like we were being kicked out — it was all very well calculated and done in a very classy way. All in all it was exactly what we wanted and even surpassed our expectations. Brooklyn Winery made this such a memorable night for us, and our guests were also raving about how beautiful the place was and how much they enjoyed the evening. I wouldn’t think twice about hosting another event here and really hope to have another occasion for it in the future!

I love the ambiance of Brooklyn Winery!(Those succulents on the wall — gorg!) Several months ago, A and I were looking for a venue to hold an event and we went in spoke with one of the owners. He took the time to walk us around the space and showed us pictures as we went around so we could really get a clear visual of what they can do. Really nice guy. Alas, we couldn’t shave down our guest list down to the number of people that BW could accommodate so we had to move on to other locations. Fast forward to December: Friends and I were looking for NYE plans; something festive and social(so, not just a dinner) but not packed with drunk, raucous people(so, not a club). Thanks to Time magazine, I found out that BW was throwing a NYE shindig and we quickly reserved our tickets.(Good thing too cuz it’s sold out two days after we booked.) Fast forward again to NYE: We arrived a little past 9 and saw a small line gathered in front.(Uh-oh.) Luckily, the line moved quickly and we were in within minutes. The place looked great! They had put up a net of lights on the ceiling and some other decorations; the DJ was playing. On top of that, it was a masquerade themed party, so that’s always fun. We put our coats in coat check and headed straight for the charcuterie table. What a spread! Various types of meats and cheeses and pickles and crackers. Waiters came around with hot hors d’oeuvres — chicken, fried cauliflower, shrimp in brioche roll. At the bar, they were serving several of their own wines, craft beers, specialty cocktails and lots & lots of sparkling wine. ^^ We all had a blast — eating, drinking, dancing. Several friends told me how glad they were that I found the place, that it was exactly what they had in mind for NYE and how gorgeous the space was. I was happy to see that the staff remained friendly all through the night, even at times where everyone was drinking and gathered at the bar; all too many times, on nights like this, service goes totally out the window… But not that night! Can’t wait to come check out the place on a regular day. It’d be perfect for a quiet night out with some friends or for a date.

Came here for a wine tasting as part of a work event. The décor is nothing short of amazing. My company rented out half of the restaurant and there were two stations that were set-up for us to taste the wine and sample some of their food. The layout was great and my coworkers and I had a decent time. However, in my opinion the wine and food fell short of expectation. In addition, the workers who attended the two stations only allowed everyone to take 1 sample of food and wine, even though we paid for the event! Although we had other food options(crackers, cheese, etc.) it definitely wasn’t what we expected. So to wrap it up, it was a great social environment, but the wine and food fell short of our expectations.

I agree with the other review about the mean guy at the bar. I brought my sommelier brother here who was visiting from CA and we sat at the bar while we waited for my friends to come and he acted like he didn’t want to serve us. I had to reach over to grab menus. We felt really awkward sitting there. But our server was great. The extra star is for some of the wine like the old vine zin but otherwise I think that’s about it. I love the concept, want the place to do well, but the food sucks as there is no vegan food apart from a few snacks. How many animals and their secretions can one eat? That’s not food and I challenge more restaurants and bars to expand their menus, palettes, abolish animals, and explore a real human food menu.

Note: I loved their wine parring event. Food were excellent. __________________________________________ I love their wine, food, décor and ambiance. I like their décor which is mostly furnished by woods. I keep going back there and visited there on my birthday, too. Sometimes there is a private event and closed for public. That is a little disappointing, but I understand why people want to have private event there, and someday I wish I could have private event here, too. So it is better going there during week.(Mon– Thu) I love their food very much as much as I love their wine. Price is from $ 4 to $ 18. They are mostly closed on weekend, sometimes they are open, so it is better to check in advance if you will plan to go there. I was very lucky. My birthday was on Saturday, but when I went there in the afternoon, they were open. I enjoyed their flight. If you become member(free), you can chose more wines for the flight. You can collect points by spending money, you will get rewards. They have special wine pairing dinner event sometimes. I attended one on September 30, 2014. The event was held a dining room in the back of the standard dining area. This dining room is next to winery area and you can see the barrels through big glass window. There are candle lights and flowers in vases, and the ambiance was very romantic. Food was excellent. I want to go back to the event again.

THISPLACEISBEAUTIFUL! i came here for a wine tour and tasting i bought through travelzoo — what a great purchase! tour: was really fun and informative. the tour guide(i forgot her name) was awesome and explained the wine making process so well. she had great relatable examples that would make it easy for any first timers to learn the process(if they care). some parts of the tour was long and cold but nothing that is unbearable(at least for me). tasting: think we had a tasting of TWELVEWINES after(maybe even 13 or 14). i lost count after 5 and they were all generous pours. the tasting felt a little rushed — just wine after wine. the reds were my favorite. i think i would’ve enjoyed it better if the tastings were spaced out a little with less tastings to actually enjoy the wine. and oh be sure to eat beforehand if you don’t want to get tipsy — because you will be :) after the tour/tasting: had a choice of a cheese, charcuterie(meat plate), or glass of wine. i opted for the cheese plate and it was delish! i wanted to know the name of every cheese so i can buy some. food: also stayed to grab a few bites because we needed food in our stomach. we had the cheese plate, meat plate, smashed fingerling potatoes, crispy brussel sprouts, and friend buttermilk chicken bites. most of what we got had some brittle or honey — made the dishes a little more special/different/sometimes weird than what you would expect. the cheese and meat plates were my favorite. i expected a little more from the chicken bites; the mix of so many different types of herbs was too much for every bite. venue: beautiful. beautiful. beautiful. it’s so effortlessly rustic and elegant. this would be a great place to have a private/intimate date, birthday party, bridal shower, baby shower, small wedding. basically anything.

I had this place booked marked for a while. A groupon is what really got the wheels moving. For $ 55.00 it included a wine tour, tasting, your choice of a cheese plate or charcuterie plate, along with an etched souvenir wine glass for two people. There were some very strong meats and cheeses, that I didn’t like however; the plates also had some mild meats, and cheeses, along with bread, pickles, honey, nuts, spicy mustard, and Jam. The tasting consisted of approximately 12 samples of various wines, both white and reds. I enjoyed the Stainless Steel Aged Riesling, and the Pettit Sirah. Noël was a great tour guide, funny, and energetic. The staff were friendly. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual. I would definitely return to the Brooklyn Winery.

I had bought two spots to the wine tour they were offering for a friend’s birthday. At first, we weren’t sure what to expect since the place looked a bit small. You know the saying, «Small things big personality?» well it applies to here [in a good way]. It was super easy to make a reservation for the tour and when we arrived 30 minutes early, the hostess was very friendly. She gave us our tickets which we could redeem for a cheese or meat plate or a glass of wine. My friend got a glass of wine while we waited. Before the tour took place, they took us up to a small room where they gave us each our own wine glass with the«Brooklyn Winery» engraved in it [you get to keep it]. We got to taste a bit of white wine while we waited for the tour to begin. Although, since my friend already had a glass, she double fisting her wine of glass with samples. Before the tour began, they allowed us to leave our stuff in a locked room where we would be visiting again to have more flights. The tour itself was very short, there was only two rooms in which we walked through but the tastings they gave had a very generous pour. The tour guide was very friendly and tried hard at being funny but I guess we were a tough crowd because no one really laughed. I believe we had roughly 12 tastings. I couldn’t remember I got completely wasted after the 2nd flight and kept giggling [I don’t really drink at all]. My friend on the other managed to finish all of my tastings and hers and she ordered more wine during dinner. Overall, the tour was very fun and informative and definitely worth the money if you are oenophile. After the tour was finished, they did lead you downstairs where you could redeem your ticket or you can enjoy a causal dinner with drinks. We got the cheese plate and it was a good size serving and buttermilk chicken bites, which was a bit smaller but just as delicious as the cheese plate. If you are going for drinks, I would definitely recommend the cheese plate. It was really good. I would recommend signing up for their loyalty card because you earn points when you buy food, drinks and bottles of wine for free stuff.

My girl friend and I got a Living Social deal for a tour and tasting here. Over all it was a cool experience and the wine bar itself is a great spot! Having gone to wineries both in the US and abroad, Brooklyn winery’s wines pale in comparison to others where the terroir and the weather are just fantastic for wine. That said, they do make some decent wines for table drinking and it’s always great to have local businesses like this. And the fact that it’s right here in NYC is pretty cool. So while I didn’t leave thinking OMG I need to have that wine again it’s definitely a spot I’ll keep in mind if I’m hanging out with friends in Williamsburg or if I have friends in town.

Last month, my company and I had our first annual holiday and family dinner at Brooklyn Winery. It’s nestled in an almost deserted street, but once you enter in between the doors — it’s a completely different atmosphere. I never knew such a beautiful and hidden gem existed in Williamsburg. Our family dinner took place in an event space on the first floor –The Atrium. It was beautifully decorated and has a warm mixture of industrial, but natural décor. There was a glass ceiling and a wooden covered wall. I was blown away by the décor and the cozy, laid-back atmosphere at Brooklyn Winery. The space accommodated the size of our party, just right and the tables and everything was set up perfectly. We had a bartender that made our drinks too. She was super friendly and was very good at what she was doing. We had a prix-fixe menu and didn’t have to worry about ordering. We had the following — Fregola & Arugala Salad — I really liked this salad except for the pickled beets — not a fan of beets at all. I really liked the fregola because it’s similar to cous cous, but it’s actually at type of pasta from Sardinia. The salad was refreshing and light! There was two type of entrees served — roasted chicken seasoned with lemon and rosemary. The chicken wasn’t bad at all. It was seasoned perfectly, except my only complaint is that it felt a little dry. The second entrée was leg of lamb with an herb crust and seasoned with lamb jus(lamb juice). Oh my goodness, the leg of lamb was literally out of this world! It was the best damn lamb I’ve had so far. It was moist, tender, juicy, succulent, and velvety. The waitress returned to my table a few minutes later and asked if I would like another piece of lamb and my eyes lighted up with joy and I was so in love with the lamb! Our entrees were accompanied with two sides. The first side was the tarragon potatoes seasoned with cider vinegar. I wasn’t a huge fan of this because of the acidity in the potatoes. The second side was the grilled seasonal vegetables which was seasoned with EVOO and sea salt. I liked this side better. After the family style dinner, there were plates and plates of desserts for us to choose from and of course coffee and tea. For dessert, there was: brownie bites, petite brown butter financiers, and pâté a choux puffs. I’m not a huge fan of brownies, but these were excellent. The brownie bites is made up of orange caramel and sea salt. Salt and caramel = totally yummy! Loved it. The petite brown butter financiers flavored with dried cranberries and ginger glaze, don’t really remember having this. The pâté a choux puffs were filled with lemon curd and rock sugar. I really liked the pâté a choux. It was spongy and a little sweet. I would have much preferred the original pastry cream inside the cream puff instead. All in all, the experience at Brooklyn Winery was a true pleasure. I fell madly in love with the leg of lamb and I can’t stop thinking about it. I think my company made a good choice for hosting a party here and I hope we come back to the Brooklyn Winery in the future. I may even want to host a future birthday party at the Brooklyn Winery or maybe for a special event.

Went here with a bunch of friends on a Sunday. Was pleasantly NOT packed, but boy do they have zero concept of air conditioning. I was happy to take the free wine tour because the wine was kept cooler than we were. My husband and I both had the Riesling flight($ 17). They were actually good sized samples, more than just at a tasting. They were all enjoyable. The food was VERY good. I had the liverwurst(They were out of the duck pâté) Lucky for me no one else was interested, so I had it all to myself. Also good was the broiled goat cheese and the pea salad. The staff was very nice– constantly refilling our water glasses, but it took us about 10 min to actually get the check. It was a nice day, but for the price of it all, I’m not sure I would go there to just hang out if I was a local.
