The best coffee shop in the area! The staff is amazing, they have a good coffee offering, and their food is amazing! Get any sandwich on a roll for only $ 5, what?! Their vegan sandwiches are the best and breakfast burrito will cure your hangover immediately. And if it’s nice out, sit outside. I’d basically live here if I could.

went here last night after seeing some good reviews and great menu online, arrived at 9:43, walk up to the counter and the deli guy very rudely says «i am closed, (points at refrigerators) there’s salads in there» then starts angrily talking to cashier about having to clean up.
I will never understand these kinds of people that enter the service industry and then want to clean up and leave early. I went in there last night after working for 11 hours hoping to get a good late dinner but I had to leave and find somewhere else. I am not sure what this young guy has going on in his life but I suggest he should work at a warehouse or something, where you can line up and punch out the second they are supposed to be done.
I was really disappointed, because the options were really different than most things in bushwick, but I am not sure i even want to give this place another try after that exceptionally annoying experience. The cake was really good though and the pre-​made salad options were good and have decent prices.

I stop by maybe once a week on my way to work and get «The Killer» and a peach tea. An amazing breakfast sandwich, I would order it more if i wasn’t worried I might eventually grow tired of it. I’ve never sat down inside the place, but it seems cozy. Workers are often very friendly.

Lots of options here for vegans. This is my go-​to spot for VanLeeuwen Vegan Icecream pints and cookies and snacks and shit on a late night binge. I also loveeee the Vegan Tex-​Mex Burrito! Their Pico de Gallo is bomb. Delivery is a hit or miss here though.

I was expecting a coffee shop when I first walked in but it was really a mix of deli, grocery, and food to go place. I got their Tex-​Mex breakfast burrito and it was surprisingly good. They have a vegan version as well. The latte on the other hand was a bit underwhelming. I got a large latte and it tasted more like coffee flavored milk than a balance of milk and espresso. Hopefully their regular drip coffee will taste much better as their beans are from Stumptown.

I was gonna give this place 4 stars because I agree with some of the complaints about the service, but fugg it, the food is so damn good I crave it when I go to sleep at night and satisfy my craving every morning. Also the coffee is great. They use stump town beans and its $ 2.50 for a 16 ounce. Better prices than other nearby coffee shops. One of the counter people is indeed kinda clueless, but people, come on. They’re working for peanuts and hardly anyone tips here. The real magic happens in the kitchen anyway.

Seriously… its 7:25 AM and I am standing in front of this place and its not open. Oh wait… they just opened as I write this. In the course of my interaction the girl (who was late for work and should be fired) tried to charge me 3 different prices, said she doent care that I and others stopped coming because they open late all the time, and is basically grunting. I am no longer a regular here. Bye, Standard. Hope you close and a more reliable business opens.

Service is really inconsistent here. The counterperson has a very bad attitude and is very rude.
Also the food takes a long time to serve/​deliver. Coffee is expensive & overpriced and the sandwiches aren’t always heated consistently throughout the sandwich. Also, they tend to have a lot of mixups on my order, (wrong choice of bread/​bagels.)
I used to come fairly often, however I become less and less satisfied with each visit.

Gross. Way salty biscuit with funny tasting over salty eggs and over salty bacon. That plus lukewarm drip coffee was my miserable first meal today. My stomach regrets the decision. Nice place, room for improvement for sure, but as of today, Gross.

I come here a lot and it’s usually exactly what I’m craving but the past couple sandwiches have been terrible. Today friend egg sandwich had cold unmelted cheese on it and some hard ass white tomatoes. The order before forgot the tomato entirely and the eggs were cold. Step it up, guys!

The place is nice with pretty good desserts and a big menu. It is very overpriced for this area however, which is maybe them just staying ahead of the curve on the changing neighborhood. They recently implemented a $ 5 minimum for wifi, which is the big reason for the low score. I like to work here but for some reason I just can’t appreciate the minimum for wifi. Will go elsewhere to work late.

smh. How I order a Sandwich n y’all tell me the price before I buy it… like I see the menu ! N make me pay before my Sandwich was finish… Watch out for the short white Turkish lookin lady. That’s fucked up. I been thru mad racist type shit in my life… I know how how to move forward n just say fuck that shit. But dam At a Sandwich Spot???

This place is terrible. It opened and seemed like the place to go for healthy choices. It is pricey, which goes with healthy options unfortunately but not even comparable to other stores. There isn’t a problem with an individual person but the culture. Everybody I have dealt with has been a space cadet.
Ex:
Their register wasn’t correct when I ordered a 2.50 coffee and it charged me 2.78 When I asked why the cashier told me «the owner has to fix it» and still charged me the same price.
Another time I ordered online for pickup on my lunch break and when I got there they told me They couldn’t make my sandwich bc they lacked all the ingredients. They didn’t call or email and just waited for me to waste my break and not offer another option.
I will never walk in this place again.

Great selection of specialty organic foods with specialty food prices. I love that they have a bathroom and wifi!

I simply do not understand why there are so many poor reviews for this shop. They have excellent sandwiches. I order regularly and have never been disappointed in anything other than the fact that they are so fair with the ingredients that at times it’s difficult to eat some of them without them falling apart. That’s easily solved with a fork for leftovers, though, so otherwise I really don’t have much to complain about. Their sandwiches are inventive and delicious. I only give them 4 out of 5 stars since their vegetarian sandwiches aren’t quite as good (their seitan seems flavorless to me), but since I’m not a vegetarian, this isn’t that much of a problem for me.

Ditto the other reviewers. I had the chicken barbeque sandwich. Did not taste like BBQ at all. Chicken was low quality. Not cheap and waited forever for it.

I was so angry about the bratty attitude of the woman at the counter that after I left I walked in the wrong direction for about five minutes.

Good sandwiches. I like the classic, and during lunch time you can get one on a roll for only 5 $.
There are tons of options for vegetarians and vegans including yummy looking cakes and cookies.

I am giving BS 5 stars because they have improved the costumer service so much since my last visit when I wrote a review I would never come back. I tried again. It was very easy to order, get a delicious sandwich just the way I wanted and they even offered me a free juice that was made and not sold.:) that too was so good I will come back and get it! (The one w beets) the lox bagel is my favorite here for value and presentation. Thanks so much for creating a good team of employees that work well together creating a good atmosphere for the costumers to relax!

This place is inconsistent at best & inedible at worst. Note: I’ve only gotten delivery, but by the plentitude of items you can get delivered it’s no wonder quality suffers for quantity. I’ve also had longgg delivery times & a delivery guy who wanted me to come down and get the food despite me buzzing him in? Isn’t that why I tip you generously – so I don’t have to walk down?
While I’ve had a good breakfast order before (big, delicious biscuit), everything else was a mess. Melted milkshakes. Over-​spiced entrees. Undercooked pasta w/​no seasoning at all. It’s a roulette wheel whether the food is going to be yummy or completely inedible. & I’m done taking that wheel for a spin. Byeee.
