This place was pretty awful. We ordered our food — a bagel and two omlets — and it took about 25 minutes for our food to come out after I asked for it. I got the specialty omlet and it came out cold, the cheese wasn’t melted and the chicken was dry. The sausage in the sausage omlet was mushy and the eggs were lukewarm. Asked to exchange my omlet for a cinnamon raisin bagel and wound up with an everything. Oh well.

Small café with generous seating and a cute Polish girl always at the cash register. I used to stop in here for .90 cent hot chocolate before work during the winter. Great spot to duck in and warm up. It’s right by the NQR station on Avenue U, perfect for homemade breakfast or lunch before the commute to Manhattan or a day in Coney Island. It has diner booths and jumbo flat screens, which is awesome for catching up on MSNBC and conversation. I ordered peanut butter and jelly here a lot, insanely cheap and delicious.

The prices are great. $ 4 for sandwiches and paninis. An extra dollar adds on a side of fries. We ordered the king panini, chicken panini and chicken sandwich. We ordered to go so the panini’s were a bit soggy when we got to it. The flavor was just ok…

I’ve passed this place for a while on my way to the Three Star next door but after reading some good reviews, I tried it out with a buddy of mine. The interior is unique to say the least. Definitely it is not going to win the Home & Garden magazine award but its eclectic layout is actually refreshing. You go up to the counter to order your meal and then the person behind the counter brings it to you. The person tonight was friendly and helpful. And the prices are CHEAP! We both had cheeseburgers with fries and soda. Well I did not know mine came with fries when I ordered it but it did! I asked for a medium rare cheeseburger but got one that was well done. The cheese was excellent and plentiful(sorry Rabbi!) but the meat was a bit dried out(though my friend said that his was juicier). I am not eating bread but his roll looked really good and he confirmed it was. The fries are the thin ones and arrive hot. My buddy is sensitive to salt and he called me later to let me know he was drinking water like crazy, so apparently they cook with a lot of salt. I should mention that the pastries looked delicious and they have big screen TV’s going. Not sure how they are but they seem to feature salads and sandwiches on their menu as well as their coffee, so it might be a good place for breakfast! This also seems like a good place to come study which one person was doing when we arrived and according to another reviewer, they have wifi.

Would you like a panini, some fries and a drink for $ 5? I do. Would you like comfy orange seats? Yes. How about a variety of teas and coffee? Oh yeah, sign me up. Everything about this place is a charm. You don’t have to like orange crème walls, that’s ok, just try a panini and you’ll fuhgeddaboutit.

One of my favorite place in this area to have a breakfast. You can get a very decent breakfast just for a $ 5. Highly reccomend to everyone.

What a strange experience. The place looks unfinished and has cheap décor from the 80s with all mismatched furniture. The food was decent, the coffee was pretty good. Overall it feels like you are having food at your friends semi furnished living-room with the furniture he got passed down from his parents. One thing, you cant beat the price.

I found this place on Unilocal.Thank you fellow reviewers! From the outside Brooklyn Bloom doesn’t look like much. In fact I may not have noticed it if I wasn’t looking for it. But once you step inside the place is as adorable café. There are small comfy two person tables in the front and booths towards the middle. There is also wifi! I had the bacon Panini with fries and a large coffee, and then four cookies for dessert. The Panini’s are only $ 4 and $ 5 deluxe with fries and a drink! The coffee was $ 1.50 and the cookies were $ 1. I paid $ 7.50 for the whole meal! If that’s not a deal I don’t know what is. I could eat here daily and not break my wallet. And the food was great. These Panini’s rivaled some of the $ 10 – 13 ones I had elsewhere! The friends were yummy and crispy. The coffee was also really good. Really no complaints at all. This place has been added to my «work café» list now. I will be back.

I come to get take out a lot and my exeriences have been amazing. The food is extremely cheap and the food is incredible. I got the mac and cheese once and i asked the nice lady cashier if there was meat in it because I’m a pescatarian, and she said there isn’t any. However I found pieces of bacon in my food and was pretty upset. I just picked them out so it worked out. Another time, I ordered a Tuna Panini and I waited 15 – 20 minutes for it. It was a log wait for a panini but it was delicious but not really worth the wait.

I love Brooklyn Bloom. The prices are ridiculously low, as in you can get a panini meal(a bacon panini, can of soda, and delicious shoe string fries) for $ 5. And on how I felt about the panini– actually very delicious. Not burned at all, but crispy enough that I would enjoy it. Gosh, thinking about it right now makes my mouth water. The shoe string fries are absolutely… HEAVENLY. I highly recommend them. An order of them is already one large styrofoam take-out box, at about $ 2 – 3. It’s definitely worth it and a heck lot better than the McDonald’s fries by Coney Island. The only thing that made me take off a star I would say is the service. This isn’t the place you would go if you’re dying for food. There are only two girls and a cook working there, but mind you– there aren’t that many people there. The service takes FOREVER. But this is really the place for you to sit down and have a chat with a friend or two(really, no more than two– it’s more of like a cozy, small café, not a restaurant). They don’t mind you sitting for hours there sipping coffee and reading a book.

I just LOVE this place!!! As I moved to the area you can see me there almost every day. The stuff is very friendly, the space is so inviting and comfortable so I feel myself like at home! The food is just great, it is fresh and homemade, not just defrosted package of smth. Regardless the fact that I am vegetarian I always find something delicious for me, also this place saves me time, I don’t spend hours and hours ahead the stove trying to please my picky husband)) prices are amazing! For all-included dinner for two, it’s about 12 – 15 $!!! Before I couldn’t even imagine such a quality for this money. Also it is not noisy, I think it’s a big plus if you want to enjoy your conversation and don’t want to run away with a headache. I will definitely keep coming back to have an outstanding food while whatcing TV or surfing the Internet(they also have free Optimum wi-fi spot)

I’ve passed by this place many times before n never bothered to walk inside. It’s a new place been open for a few months now I walked in yesterday for some cappuccino first thing I noticed was the open space and nice warm colors inside and an older man sitting by the window drinking coffee on a comfy seat and seemed so inviting and comfortable inside. I went back today n got another cappuccino(really good) n a bagel in which was brought over to me on a house plate and sat down for a quiet breakfast watching on of their tv screens I felt like I was at home! I’ll definitely be coming back to try some of their other tasty looking goods:)

i really like this place! just came in here for some breakfast and the staff here was so so friendly, they will do your coffee perfectly, customize It however you wish the food is done fresh, I can tell it hasn’t been sitting on shelves, its straight out of the kitchen, the bacon egg and cheese wasn’t oily or heavy or greasy, perfect amount of cheese. for a large coffee and bacon egg and cheese the total came out to 4.50, amazing price. so happy I am definetly coming back here.

I dig the feel this place is trying to put out there. With the cheap prices, bright orange décor, accent seating and artwork they’re trying to put a modern spin on a family-owned restaurant. Unfortunately I feel it is lost on the somewhat older, somewhat Chinese and Jewish community that is dominant in this area. I’ve been here a couple times, and they have had consistently good service, great prices and good quality. The only thing that’s missing is the clientele. When I have come here the place has been dead, save for a few stragglers getting their goods and leaving. I really think this would do exceptionally well in a trendy Manhattan neighborhood. I hope they do a lot of online /phone orders, it would be great to come back here in the future. Coffees are about a dollar, they have cheap breakfast items and lunch items to boot! Everything from sandwiches, soups and fresh salads. The staff here is eager to please and will bring your food to you at your table, although it is not a full-service establishment. They aim to please.

When you first come in, you see all this open space with comfy seats and the aroma of fresh made food. They have two flat screen televisions so you do not get bored. They now accept credit cards! They have a variety of foods that they sell. If you haven’t been yet, stop by because you are definitely missing out.
