So while on a trek to search for an apartment in the neighboring area my friend and i stumbled across this indoor shopping center filled with vendors for West Indian clothing and other such things. In the corner at the end of the center there was this small counter bakery vending Jamaican baked goods and food. I was so excited and decided to step in and give it a try. We both had the Whole Wheat Coconut bread slice. The inside of the bread had a mixture of shredded coconut that was rich and sweet. The outside layers of bread were scone like but still good. It would be a great pastry accompanied by some tea or coffee. I want to go back, because i hear their Jerk chicken on thursdays is really good. Definitely have to come back for that. While this location only has a counter top with 8 or so seats I understand, from the guy who works there, that there is another location that is larger on Church Ave. I will probably go there next time I’m in the area. I am determined to find some great jerk chicken.
