This is a decent little neighborhood spot to pop into for a quick breakfast. I only find my way here in the mornings before work when I want breakfast past the typical early morning hours. The french toast is amazing. It’s simple, it’s sweet, it’s filling. The pancakes are pretty good as well too. The bacon is tasty and greasy, as it should be. Home fries are also in abundance here. A side order of them is an entire plate that you’ll probably want to share with somebody. Each breakfast order comes with a «shot» of orange juice. And by shot, I do mean, a healthy small cup(shot nevertheless) or OJ. It’s perfect if you’re just going to have coffee anyway. I don’t drink coffee so it’s a tease to me and I typically just opt for a full glass. Your food is prepared quickly and the counter has ample space for those who want to sit down and enjoy their food. There’s also a couple of tables that will seat small groups. I like stopping in here whenever I have a craving for French toast and don’t really want to go far or spend much money. Be advised that this spot is cash only, so plan ahead or be prepared to walk across the street to the ATM in DDs.

Breakfast sandwiches for under $ 4.00 including two eggs meat and cheese? Yes please! Prices are low and this corner coffee shop really has some charm. It’s not fancy but good eats it is!

I’ve been here a couple of times for breakfast and ate at the counter. Service is fast and friendly, food is delicious, and the prices are great! It also looked clean each time I went which is a plus. I also love the fact that the owner engages in conversation with everyone no matter what background, to some people that means a lot. I wish I would’ve discovered this place sooner!

Okay so it’s really easy to review this place. Food:is absolutely great and tasty, generous portions and looks tasty as well(presentation is appealing). They have a great variety of food on their menu I could eat 3 meals a day here and never get sick of it because there’s an abundance in options that are all delicious and filling even quick little things to grab a quick bite. Price: is very reasonable like I said you get exactly what your paying for their portions are very generous for example a hero with eggs, cheese, turkey sausage, mushrooms, a tuna on toast platter with pickles, fries and onion rings, and 2 slices of pizza costed me a few cents under 20 $ which Is a great amount of food for that price in my opinion. Service:I ate in once and the atmosphere is great they have bar seats that overlook the cooking area and it’s mighty clean you can watch your food from the second it starts being prepared until it’s on the plate infront of you. They also have tables which are good for groups. It’s always clean inside and everyone is super friendly. Delivery: never takes more than 30 – 35 minutes. I live in a 4th floor walk up and the delivery man comes up which is convenient for me because I have 2 young children and can’t take them down to get the food every time. Many other places ask me to come down and get it and I think it’s kind of rude but I end up asking my neighbor to watch the kids for a minute. They are always very polite and don’t mind taking coins which is my case most of the time. Overall: get your breakfast/lunch/dinner here and you won’t be disappointed!

Screw what the other reviewers say. This is an old school neighborhood spot, lost in time. Which time that is, I am not sure — possibly the early to mid 1970’s? Anyway, this is not gourmet food, but awesome old school vibe.

So I decided to order from Anna’s today, after my two year break since my last Unilocal vent.(everyone deserves a 2nd chance) This time I experience respect from the Spanish lady when i ordered for delivery via phone call. It actually arrived in decent time. NOW– the fact that I had to call them back to explain that the SOBE«Lifewater» they sent me was expired from Aptil 162012 and i found«Pubic» hairs in my fries. I ended throwing that shizzznit away! I asked the lady on the call back and she hit me with an excuse that SOBE sent them an expired case. So i asked if they may send me a snapple and she said it will be 1 dollar extra! Are you nutz lady! You send me expired shit and you want me to pay extra for a drink that costs the same. I remember exactly why i opened a Unilocal account and it was for these fools at anna’s. They all need to realize that they suck! point blank suck!

Wow I didn’t think the reviews for Anna’s would be that bad. Smh… I don’t ever have their dinners, ONLY the lunches and breakfasts. Hey diners and cafes like that, their lunches and breakfasts are what best anyway. When the guy takes your order you definitely experience courtesy and attentive service that you don’t see much anymore. The lady on the other hand it was just regular. In comparison there was a big difference but I never revived bad service from her unless it was situation where an item was forgotten or wrong on my order. I had pancakes with bacon and two eggs fried(plushiest extra bacon), and my boyfriend ordered pancakes with ham and two eggs sunny side up. I actually loved my food. I could get real bacon here unlike some spots runner by Muslims, who don’t come in contact with pork for religious reasons. Not a problem… I was just in the mood for the real thing. The only critical suggestions I have is the cooks need the food to cool off or a sec. or two so the stryofoam box doesn’t melt. Also to read back orders so everything is correct. I wouldn’t cal though for orders the mix up tends to happen. Also

Wow. This place is the worst. Bad food and shockingly bad service. The lady we dealt with was threatening and rude over a very minor misunderstanding. Avoid.

This place has a cute old-school luncheonette look and feel, with the long counter and stools, and the food is ok. However, the service is terrible and I recommend avoiding. We once waited so long for some takeout breakfast that the entire restaurant turned over while we were there. And we didn’t order anything crazy, just eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, typical breakfast stuff that’s already par-cooked. Eventually my husband mentioned to the cashier that we’d been waiting forever and that if we didn’t get our food soon, we’d leave. She didn’t seem to care much and although the food eventually appeared, it wasn’t exactly apologetically snappy. Later we discovered that they’d put the hot food directly into Styrofoam trays which of course melted completely through. So, pros: super hot food. Cons: a complete mess, seasoned with whatever is in styrofoam. We were discouraged from ordering takeout breakfast from them again(try Nostrand Express) but we did stop in recently to buy a scratch-off lotto ticket from the machine. And it won! No, no, that’s bad news. Cashing it in was painful, un-fun, and just straight up bewildering thanks to the person working that day. We said we had a ticket winning $ 25 and she said she couldn’t pay us because she only had three tens. So we said we’d give her $ 5 and she could give us the $ 30. She agreed to this, but when she ran the ticket, it turned out to be worth $ 50.(Oops, sorry.) Anyway, this lady was PISSED. She walked along the inside of the counter(why?) came back, said she only had $ 40(yeah, it turned into $ 40), said the F word a few times, mentioned how this has happened before and it’s a pain, and she’s not going to do it again, and how she«specifically asked [us]»(asked us what?) and«specifically told [us]»(told us what??) We totally would have just gone elsewhere to cash in the ticket but, as we found out, once she does whatever she did with our card, she has to pay us, because if we take it somewhere else to cash in, it will show as already paid. So she said we needed to go to an ATM. We were like, um, why? You will still only have $ 40. So then she said she was closing up and she shouldn’t have done this, and WE shouldn’t have done this, and«you KNEW it was for $ 50»(wtf, no we didn’t. And how would lying and saying our winnings should be less help us in any way?) Then there was a weird exchange in which she said she was closing up, but also admitted she was supposed to close at 8:30, and when we pointed out that was over three hours away, she yelled at us not to tell her how to run her business. My husband mentioned that he would call the lottery to complain and she shrieked, «I’ll call them right now!» So she did, and stood there for a while, apparently on hold. After a couple of minutes, my husband asked, «What are you going to say when they answer?» and she said, «I’m going to tell them that you said you were going to call and so I called for you.» She then hung up, accused us of threatening her(referring to our«threat» to call the lotto’s governing body to complain that we did not receive our winnings), and told us again that she should never have helped us. She also said we were on camera, and she was going to show her boss the footage(please do! Actually, I’d like to see it myself to figure out how this simple transaction got so nasty.). After going around a few times, my husband said(again), «look, just give us the $ 40 and I’ll come back tomorrow for the $ 10, ok? We trust you.» At that, she walked over to a cook, or busboy or some employee — the whole restaurant was staring — and asked him if he had $ 10. He gave her $ 10, and she gave us our $ 50 and told us we were never to come back in the restaurant ever again. We’re, like, totally crying over our banishment.
