After moving to the Flatbush area, I have been desperately looking around for a laundromat that’s in walking proximity to my apartment. This laundromat is huge and is pretty affordable. I do like the option of purchasing a prepaid card. The card is only $ 2. At my last apartment complex, the card was $ 5 and did not accept one dollar bills. This laundromat has double load washers for $ 1.79, triple load washers for $ 3.49, jumbo load washers for $ 4.49 and super jumbo load washers for $ 5.49. I usually use the double or triple load, but it’s nice to know that there are washers available to accommodate the amount of laundry you have to wash. There’s also a choice of adding Heavy Soil or Extra Rinse to your wash cycle which does result in adding 25¢ to 55¢ depending on which size washer you’re using. The dryers are 25¢ for eight minutes. Now although they leave your clothing completely dry, they do not leave your clothes scorching hot or shrunken. They get the job done immediately. There are ALWAYS washers and dryers available no matter the time of day. Whether it’s early in the morning or late at night, you can get in and out in under two hours, which I couldn’t do before. I will come back here from now on. This is the closest laundromat to my house and the cheapest I’ve seen so far. I’d avoid buying detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets from here. The prices are inflated and you’re better off buying your items from Target, a local discount store or a pharmacy such as Rite Aid, CVS, Duane Reade or Walgreen’s.
