Such a pretty garden in the back. It kind of reminds me of a speak easy because when you first walk in you assume it’s a plain old bar but the back looks like a green house wonderland. I came in for the $ 10 pizza happy hour and was shocked that the place was so empty. The pizza was delicious and made in a real brick oven! I had such a nice low key lunch date with my girl.

Great little place tucked away in Williamsburg. Feels like youre sitting on a patio somewhere in Tuscany while dining in the back. The owner, on top of being very friendly, cooks up an array of Italian specialties in the kitchen. Can’t remember if I’ve ever had anything that wasn’t flavorful on my few trips there. I highly recommend you get one of the coal oven specialty pies as an appetizer to start off with and then go from there.

This is hands down the best restaurant in Williamsburg. It has a great atmosphere and décor you don’t find in most places. The food is authentic Italian and sooo good, especially the pizza. The wine selection is also impressive. I’ve been here several time and am never disappointed. Always a very friendly staff too. I highly recommend Acqua Santa.

I so wish I had liked this. Pros: Service was great, and the setting behind was super cute. Cons: The food wasn’t great. My pizza dough was undercooked and the pasta tasted a bit bland. And it lacked salt and pepper big time. It was also a bit overpriced for what you get. We got some bruschetta, a pizza and a pasta and some sparkling water, and somehow our bill was $ 80. If you’re looking for a good italian place, I’d suggest Oregano or Max instead.

I tried the fettuccini with zucchini and shrimp. Perfectly cooked. And such a good ambiance. They had Jazz trio tonight, Mike Lattimore and friends. It was so relaxing after a busy week. Thumbs up for the service too. Fabio was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. As well as the rest of the staff. Good job guys.

My girlfriend and I were decided to celebrate the New Year’s Eve at Aqcua Santa. If I could give more than five stars to this place, I would definitely give 10! We had such a great night at this wonderful place. First, the food was delicious. Secondly, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and it is well designed! We had an amazing experience with this gorgeous restaurant and there is no doubt about me coming back again! Thank you guys for an amazing night!

I was intrigued by the beet gnocchi which I devoured… but insisted on taking the two spoonfuls I didn’t eat home because it is just that good! The atmosphere is charming. My friend had a shrimp dish which he enjoyed and the service was excellent! My water glass was never empty.

Poorly pulled draft beer is $ 8. The music comes with spotify advertisements. Walk ½ a block in any direction and find a better bar.

A friend and I stumbled upon this beautiful place while walking down Driggs Ave, and we couldn’t help but to head in. It was such a treat — a wonderful mini ‘getaway’ from the hustle and bustle of the city as we were fully immersed in the magically crafted indoor garden. We ordered the Pizza Con Salsiccie, which was big enough for two people to share. It was a very fulfilling meal and dining experience. It wasn’t too ‘heavy’(you know that feeling when some pizzas can really make you feel weighed down?) and the amount of cheese was just right — not too messy to handle. What made this experience great for me was also the fact that they weren’t pushy about two people sharing a dish(some places can get pretty particular about that).

This place gets an A+ for originality! First off, this spot is so easy to miss on a stroll in Williamsburg. But once you’re inside, everything is set up to look like southern Italy. You walk through the door and you feel like you’re in a new world. I got there in time for brunch and when I asked my very Italian and even more beautiful waiter what he recommended. He said the Omelette Piemontese because that’s where he’s from. It’s an omelette with mushrooms, basil, garlic and squash with truffle oil drizzled all over. AMAZING. Even the bread sticks were great. They’re baked with basil and Rosemary, so as you’re eating, there’s a fusion happening in your mouth! They set the ambiance so accurately that there are two brick ovens when you walk in with a Vespa leaning against it. This is an adorable spot if you’re looking for a romantic evening with a significant other, or another intimate feel. Still a great experience otherwise. If you’re ever in Williamsburg, definitely come here, if brunch was as impressive as it was, I can’t imagine lunch or dinner being too far off. Overall great pick. PS– I will be honest, I gave this place 3 stars because before leaving, I did just see the dude making the pasta dig his nose and pull something out.

I would give it five stars but for one problem: a worm/caterpillar/slug fell on the table in front of me an inch from my plate. Now, this happens when you sit below a grape vine. I get it. I didn’t freak out besides jumping up quickly because it was squirming, but no one came over to assist. I didn’t want my friend to kill it, so we had to slowly pick it up with a napkin and put it into a planter. This went on for about 3 – 4 minutes and the whole restaurant watched with rapt attention, and somehow not one person on the waitstaff came over. Afterward, I got a pretty bland apology, so I said not to worry and made a joke that I needed another glass of wine after that. I got that glass of wine, and was charged $ 12 for it. That really should have been on the house. A bug(insect? IDK) fell an inch from my filet mignon. I mean, it’s pretty standard that if an insect lands on your table, you should get that last glass of wine free(after we’d ordered probably $ 200 in alcohol and another $ 150 in food already). They didn’t even comp our dessert. It’s not about the money, considering we’d already spent quite a bit, but charging me $ 12 for a glass of wine two seconds after that left a bad taste in my mouth. In any event, food is delicious. My mom and I wanted to share the filet mignon and the amatriciana, but we like our steak cooked differently– mine, black and blue, hers, well done, ick– so they brought it out, we cut it in half, and they cooked the other half for her, which was really helpful since we couldn’t decide between pasta and steak(nor should we have to!). The artichoke hearts are pretty good, though I’ve had better spiedini. The amatriciana is pretty top notch, especially if it’s your favorite dish(like me). Anyway, good food, great atmosphere, decent wine, but if an insect falls on the table, be prepared to deal with the trauma all by your lonesome.

This place has a beautiful outdoor garden in a great location in Williamsburg. For that alone it gets 3 stars. The service is also friendly in my opinion. But the speed of the service is slow and the food is only acceptable. I’d highly recommend this place if it were simply a beer garden, and I’d love to give them a higher rating if they improve the food. But for now it’s just not yet there.

I have been coming to Acqua Santa for years! Before I moved here, this would be the place that the family would have dinner together. We have celebrated countless birthdays here. My sister even had her rehearsal dinner here. We drank every last bottle of Peroni. My favorite thing about this place is the patio covered in gorgeous vines and warm lighting. And you can sit in the patio all year long. Secondly, I love the«Frutti Di Mare»! It’s squid ink tagliatelle covered in tons of gorgeous seafood. I specially love the octopus tentacles. If that is something you are in to, then I highly recommend it. I also enjoy the pizza«Ballerina». It comes with a beautiful and delicious pile of arugula on top I can only order the pizza if someone is willing to share with me or if I’m heading home after dinner. It is way to big for to eat all at once by myself. I love the fresh mozzarella and the thin crust. And I have to mention the beet gnocchi, it’s a must! i loved it and even had enough for my lunch the next day. I am not a huge fan of the bread basket so save the calories for the meal. Oh and I have to mention that the best dessert is a glass of limoncello! Salut!

I had a perfectly lovely friend-date last Friday at Acqua Santa. The restaurant seems somewhat out of place in Williamsburg, in that it’s not trying to reinvent the wheel — it’s a throwback to older, classier Italian garden cafes. And its candor is refreshing! We sat beneath the canopy of grape leaves(«Are those REAL grapes growing up there?» asked my friend. A typical New York question — and how even more New York that I hesitated before saying, «Yeeeeees???»), and perused the menu. At first glance, it’s not a crazily impressive menu, but don’t be discouraged. Diamonds are found in coal, blah blah blah, etc. We shared the Carciofini — artichoke hearts with garlic, olive oil, and arugula. Delicious, and the perfect appetizer. I had the Spaghetti Della Norma, which was simple and yet really delicious. Fresh tomato sauce, perfectly cooked al dente spaghetti, and savory eggplant. The portion was big enough to make up for the price tag; I had a generous dinner and then a light brunch the next day. I wish their options for wine by the glass were more extensive, and the price seems a little steep, but it’s a lovely atmosphere on a warm summer night. Also, our waiter had a perfectly charming Irish accent — and who doesn’t enjoy that?

NEVER, go here… I suggest going to Fornino if you want good pizza in the area. I dined here & will NEVER be back! This is one of the most poorly run business I’ve ever been to. For openers, they have a rotting toilet seat & have no idea how they maintain an «A» rating… Jon Taffer from Bar Rescue would go nuts! We were made to feel like 2nd class citizen for not having reservations. After finally being seated(after repeatedly being offered the worst table in the house), we had to wait a half hour just to get water at the table & never got bread. This extended wait afforded me us opportunity to watch the incompetent staff running around trying to look busy, but in reality, spent most of their time bring the wrong order to tables & then conversing to try & figure out where the food actually belonged. Our pizza didn’t come as it was supposed to & the«fix» was brought back & was very mushy… obviously sent back for a 2nd time. I was told by some more regular patrons that sat next to us that there staff has a lot of turn over & isn’t ever trained properly.
