Never had my nails done by a dude before, but Simon is the bomb. I started getting gels done by him (for $ 25) and won’t see anyone else. Only thing I’d change is that they don’t soak your cuticles before cutting. Kinda gives me the heebie geebies.
Also, I had a not so great experience with a pedicure here. I was a FOOL and let someone else do my feet while Simon was finishing up another client. I was told for the upgraded price, I’d get a «hydrating mask.» My feet were like dinosaur claws so I was down. Except the woman proceeded to put the mask all over my lower legs and not on my feet. At all. Even when I asked her to. So I ended up leaving with soft legs and rough feet. But I bet Simon wouldn’t have let that happen. Just sayin.

My local go to nail salon. Very clean establishment. A very vast selection of gel colors along with matching gel polish for toes. A little more pricey (by $ 2) than other local salons.

$ 8 for a manicure. They didn’t do a good of a job as I thought they would. My polish chipped shortly after. Booooo.

The salon is very nicely decorated, they have a huge TV right in the middle of the wall and lots of polish colors. Went here on two occasions, once to get an acrylic fill in and another time to take off my acrylic. The fill in went as expected but when I removed the acrylic is when the problems started.
I went in the remove the acrylic and the woman proceeded to pry it off with a metrocard and some clippers. I had never seen this done before. It was very painful and she had no mercy even when I cried out in pain. Then she wanted to charge me extra when I asked her to remove all of the glue and acrylic that was still left on my nails. Anywhere else I go, they would soak off the acrylic so that there is no residue left over. Not returning.

Really nice experience for a $ 6 manicure (plus tip). It seems clean and the woman who painted my nails was friendly.

This is really dope nail salon. I go to school and work up the street and whenever I need to get my acrylic nails done I pop in. Usually its quite empty but I have no idea why. Its probably because the outside looks pretty blah; if I had not decided to walk in a year ago I wouldn’t have known how nice it is. With all the crappy nail salons in Crown Heights its easy to walk past this one. However, it is the best one in the area. Not only are the prices great but the staff is friendly, its clean, the décor is cute (there is even a flat screen television), and there is an amazing selection of Essie polish. I hope this review brings them business but it is a gem in the neighborhood.
