They closed my favorite Pier 1 Imports store in Cambridge so I have to go to Brookline for my pier 1 fix. The favorite time of year to go. Spring so I can add some outdoor patio color and find some good Grill in’ tools. I. Like to add some colorful plates that are kids friendly and won’t break if dropped on the patio surface. The dishes are good priced here. they have unique unusual items too that just can’t find other places. This one sales lady wws helping me yesterday. She shoewed me some new things i had not thought of for my fathers day cookout. It made it special and got loads of comments about my back yard from family. That felt good to show off to the in laws!!!

Really small Pier 1 location. They tightly pack a lot of merchandise in the store, leaving little space to navigate through, but as long as you aren’t carrying a giant purse or pushing a baby stroller, you’ll be ok. Decent selection of furniture on display, and often they have more in the basement that they can bring up in case you are looking for a particular item from the catalog. It’s a fun store to browse or if you’re looking generally for a gift or accessory, but if you are hoping to buy a specific item(especially multiples of that specific item), I recommend you order online or hit up one of the larger store locations.

I love Pier 1 Imports! I sometimes come in the store just to smell it. There are so many beautiful things here. Whenever I go inside, I know I’ll find something to fall in love with, that will ultimately make my personal space a more peaceful place to be. This particular store is very small, but it’s fitting for Coolidge Corner, staff is friendly and if there is anything they don’t have that you’re looking for, they can help you find it in a catalogue. Also, the sales are pretty great! I don’t have a very big budget, but I’ve found some gems on sale in this store.

Everything I’ve said in my previous review still stands, and btw, the 75% off after Xmas sale was awesome. However, they really need to step it up on the service front. Often the registers are not attended and sometimes there will be several people waiting in line and all the employees are busy pricing things or unpacking boxes. Also, I hate how they ask for your phone number and often go on about how oh, you can take this survey to blah blah blah… okay, I paid, let me leave now. Thx.

There is barely a week when I do not walk by this store and not«peer» in to see if they have something new. Although I do wish that I could actually go beyond my peering and buy more things from here ;) Prices apart, they do have really unique and beautiful décor. My mom-in-law bought half a suitcase full of stuff from here for decorating our new apartment! Additionally, their clearance section, albeit slightly disorganized, is full of little treasures… I would definitely recommend at least a walk through here if you are a person who does not mind splurging for home décor every now and then.

We’ve always kind of made fun of Pier 1 Imports and how cheesy the décor is. It has always reminded me of what you would see in a model home and not very unique but now that we are fresh out of college, poor, and living on our own… we now appreciate the clearance section of Pier 1. This particular location is very small but the three or four times we have been there, the staff members have been friendly and they can always answer our questions and they always tell us about the current sales. We have purchased everything from candles to full size wall art. We are not proud of our Pier 1 interior designs but it’s a perfect fit for where we are in life and that is A-OK.

4 stars because I love Pier1, but 1 star for the service. I was waiting at the cash register to get a few things rung up, but no one was attending the registers. I’m not in a major rush, but look around to try and make eye-contact with an employee. About 7 feet away, there’s a guy and a girl talking — it’s not evident if any of them work there. I look around some more, wait another minute, and the girl/guy are still chatting. Flirting, it seems like. Wait about another two minutes and am about to just say«screw it» and walk out, when the girl chatting with the guy says«ok, i’m going to ring up this customer now.» I mean, seriously? You flirt with a guy, on the job, for several minutes while a customer waiting to have a few things rung up? You don’t even make eye contact or motion«I’ll help you in just a second» but instead, keep flirting with a guy(they were not talking about the latest pillow covers and incense I assure you, at least in a decorative sense). That’s seriously rude. I’ve worked and managed retail, in another home furnishings store at that. I know customer service and retail is a hard, thankless job. But it’s just terrible, horrible service to let customers wait while you’re having a personal conversation.

I’m a big Pier 1 fan(cardholder, and all), and this was probably the worst location I’ve ever visited in terms of selection and service. We must have come right after the weekly shipment because there were boxes all over the place blocking most paths throughout the store. As another reviewer mentioned, there were also some seriously tight corners around the breakable items that made me clutch the throw pillows I was walking around with very tightly. When I asked the cashier about the boxes piled up throughout the store, she seemed to take offense to the question, which was unfortunate. Overall, I was underwhelmed, and hope to have a better experience at the other larger location.

I agree with Lauren, this place is pretty much three small sections with an odd assortment of doodads set up behind the registers and the small aisles in this store seem to get smaller as you walk into the«breakable» section — could just be my imagination… I went here to get a gift the other day, and spent most of my time in the aromatherapy/candle section — pretty cheap things here to make up a nice little spa-ish gift. The Christmas section has started to take over the front of the store, which is cool, I guess… But it made it make this small store feel even smaller. The sales associate who rang me up was a little weird. Didn’t have the best interactions possible in this store… But it’s cool. I understand working retail. It sometimes sucks. Also, she might not have had a good sense of humor. Oh well. Things are decently priced. I would go to the one in porter square though, cause it’s WAY bigger, and offers WAYMORE variety. Plus free parking. I just happened to be in the neighborhood.

I agree with ChianWen T., check out the website first. Maybe it is because the store is a lot smaller than other Pier 1 stores, but they seem to have a lot less merchandise. The store actually seems to be broken down into three sections: candles/aromatherapy; dinnerware/serveware; and a small selection of furniture. Of course there are the various trinkets that they hawk shoved into all available crevices throughout the store. Normally I come here to buy reed diffusers, anything else I may happen upon is considered a bonus. The prices are moderate so even if you come in here and find a few cute things, you won’t be breaking the bank.

Check out the website first. This store is seriously lacking in merchandise comparing to the website. The good thing about Pier 1 is that you can order whatever you want that is on the website in the store. They usually have it ready for you to pickup within a week. Pier 1 actually has a wonderful selection of stylish and reasonably priced furniture including sofas, desks, tables, bedroom furniture etc. You can furnish your whole house by only shopping at Pier 1. They have really good sales every time they phase out a style. I got a really cool iron bed for less than what some people would sell it for on Craigslist. If you apply for a credit card, you’ll receive an instant 10% off. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
