On the couple of time we stayed at this hotel, I was not impressed. There are a number of minor details that caused the stays to be unenjoyable. Such as, lights that do not always work, dripping facets, a very tiny bathroom and the difficulty to get ice. You need to put on your hiking boots to get to the machine which may or may not work. You better hope you do not need an extra towel, because it is easier to get gold out of Fort Knox than an additional bath towel. I understand that they are renovating some rooms, but what happens if you check in and are not lucky enough to receive one of those rooms? This once was a nicer place to stay and maybe it can return to its old status with the renovations. Fingers crossed!

Adorable little place, great prices, no fridge in the room but whatever. It was cold out. Bed was pretty terribly uncomfortable but what do you want for the price.

Quirky and not for arachnophobes, but I’d recommend it.(We stayed here in June.) The room we stayed in was wonderfully clean, not even just by motel standards. I’ve stayed in hotel rooms that weren’t this clean. Lowest price around too. Beyond that, things go a little weird. They didn’t have Do Not Disturb signs, at least that’s what we were told when we asked at the desk. Throw the bar and wear pjs if you’re a late sleeper. The bathroom door didn’t actually shut enough to lock, but this wasn’t a problem for a couple sharing a single room. Wifi only worked at the head of the bed. IFYOU’REAFRAIDOFSPIDERS, DONOTSTAYHEREINTHESUMMER! There were no spiders in the room, but there were a bunch outside the rooms, and they were MASSIVE!

I first checked this place out maybe 6 – 7 years ago when they first renovated it was really nice! 5 stars would have easy back then! We stayed for 2 nights this weekend and I was sick immediately. The AC system got me, I went to adjust it and the panel fell off… full of dirt, dust and other gross stuff. I then knew how I got sick. The other thing was each door way was covered with huge spiders in the evening. There was a massive spiderweb and spider on our door when we settled in for the night. We had to slide our card, kick the door and run for it! We asked them to remove the spiderwebs the next morning so we didn’t have to deal with it again… sure enough, they did nothing, I checked at 3PM(still there) and the same web and spider were there again in the evening. Ugh. gross.

This hotel is nice when you look at it but it misses the mark on the details. I haven’t had their breakfast as of yet so I will comment on that later. First, the good news. Room 24 is spacious The air conditioner works. There are towels and a TV. They use energy saver bulbs and they offer a free breakfast. But that’s every hotel that earns two stars. The staff being nice gets one more star. This is why you should not stay here; today is the first day it has been above 45 degrees and the carpets are already damp. There is run-off from the wall unit in the reception area. There are 2 soda machines but they are Sold Out. There is no convenience store nearby. The pillows feel like they’re full of foam chunks and the bed has been short-sheeted. The only clear pathway to the parking lot can be blocked off by a car(like it is now). There is no fridge in the room but apparently you can request one. Breakfast is better at a W16HWY truckstop.

My husband and I stayed here one night during a cross-country road trip. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was also very polite and helpful. It was a little out of the way, but it was worth the drive and the price. We’ll stay here again if we’re ever in the area.

I was happy to find a reasonably priced motel that is dog-friendly near Kent, CT. The staff was very nice and also helpful. The queen room is good for a couple and a small dog(who sleeps in her own bed on the floor). The bed in #30 is a little soft for our taste and the towels need replacing as they’ve started to shred along the edges. Aside from the occasional cobweb in a lamp and the mildly grimy carpet, the place is clean enough(but I wouldn’t go barefoot). Wifi was spotty in this particular room. We ordered food from Rocco’s in Brookfield and it was delivered at no additional cost and there was no minimum order. The salads were great. I don’t know if we just hit it «wrong» but there were quite a few children under the age of 10 running around or riding bikes. Sometimes they were not being supervised as was apparent when a boy of six or so accompanied me(a complete stranger) on a walk around the property. I suppose if you’re bringing children, this could be a plus but for us it was not. It’s unlikely that we’ll stay here again only because it was mediocre rather than horrendous.

Some colleagues and I stayed here on a business trip for a week. I was not expecting much when we pulled up and saw that the Inn was a motel, but our stay here was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were very spacious with two double beds and plenty of desk space which was not squashed in, and a lot of space around the beds, between the beds and the other furniture. The bedding was nice, with big fluffy pillows. Bathrooms had a separate open sink area with a hairdryer and coat closet, with the toilet/shower area separated by a door. I find this arrangement the most comfortable when I am staying with others, as it allows one to use the sink and hair dryer while the other is using the shower. The shower in my unit was good, but my friend’s shower head next door was not working properly at one point(she didn’t bother to correct it, however). Wifi was good with no hassles. The breakfast was very basic(cereals, coffee), so there was nothing I could eat, since I’m gluten intolerant. I expected this might be the case anyway and brought my own cereal. Tip: don’t grab dinner at the Chinese restaurant next door. It’s bad. The staff was very friendly and the woman who ran the place was nice. The only thing I found unsavory was the many-legged bug that crawled up my wall one night, which I forgave since this is in the country.

Clean, well-appointed motel; some with kitchenettes, others with refrigerators and microwaves. Some rooms with picnic tables outside the rooms. Discount when you show your AAA or AARP cards. Price includes breakfast.
