Venus Ensembles

Jessica, the manager, was professional and so easy to work with. We hired a trio, (harp, flute & cello) to play at our daughter’s ceremony at The Pratt House. They welcomed the guest downstairs then went upstairs to play for the ceremony… Professional, performed beautifully and completed The Pratt House feeling we were looking to for… we will definitely be calling Jessica in the future for any musical needs!

Venus Ensembles is wonderful. Jessica the owner is so easy to work with. We hired a string trio for our daughter’s wedding at the Villard Mansion at the NY Palace Hotel. They were professional, on time and played beautifully. They truly added to the ambiance of the old world feel of the mansion and everyone loved listening to the trio while enjoying the cocktail portion of the wedding. They played a mix of music and every bit of it was flawless. I would hire them again and I highly recommend them.

The musicians from Venus Ensembles were wonderful! Because ours was an outdoor wedding, we had concerns that the sound from unamplified instruments wouldn’t carry. Jessica, however, helped us select the perfect combination of instruments and number of musicians (cello, violin and flute). The CDs Jessica sent us were helpful in previewing the compositions and making our selections. We chose a combination of classical composers and more contemporary music. When needed, they found the sheet music for some specific requests. The musicians performed beautifully during our cocktail hour and ceremony, filling the space with an enjoyable ambiance of classical music. A number of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed hearing classical renditions of some pop and Beatles tunes. It was all very tasteful and sophisticated. The musicians were friendly and nicely dressed. They independently communicated with our DJ and the venue’s coordinator, and integrated themselves into the event, knowing where to set-​up and when to perform.

I’ve been to my fair share of weddings recently and some of them have had wonderful string musicians playing during the wedding ceremonies. The song selections have ranged from the more traditional classical sounds to cool string covers of classic rock and even modern tunes! A bunch of us were impressed with their job and we had to ask what company they work with and it was Venus Ensembles. Some of them said they were Juliard trained which is like hiring a Rolls Royce.
