Updated review, since my last review service has been terrible. I went to vapor a few months ago only for it to take over an hour to get a hookah to me and my girls. With bartenders giving attitude to us. Given the music was good, the place was a bit crowded for my taste — but it’s good business for them I guess —
I recently tried to give vapor another chance earlier today after seeing on their Instagram that they have happy hot from 3 – 8 pm. I showed up at 3:50, took an über over only to have to take an über right back home because vapor had their gates closed even though their website and Instagram did say they were open 3−8pm for the happy hour special.
Now it’s 5:55pm and I decided to call vapor lounge yet again to speak with someone about drink specials. I got a rude woman answering the phone and when I asked what the specials were she said its on our website and hung up on me.
I called yet again after she hung up on me to speak with a manager only for her to tell me her manager isn’t there and hung up. So rude!!!

Was here last winter with coworkers and really enjoyed the music. I don’t hookah it if you do, they have it here. I don’t drink but I heard the drinks were great. I would absolutely recommend this place

So an update…
They changed their staff… Bartender Chelsea is so accommodating. She is prompt and social, she engages in conversation, serves before you ask for another drink. «Mexico» definitely refills hookah regularly before you even think you need a refill. The establishment has become more what it use to be, loyal to those who actually support and come frequently.
If you’re looking for a good time, even free hookah before 9 on Mondays, this is the place to be
Utilize the specials they have during the week.

Had a good time here last week celebrating a friends birthday, enjoyed hookah and so so music. The DJ was average but we certainly got to dance. I didn’t like the removal of the bar stools that took place during the evening and all the additional seating required bottle service for some reason. the icing on the cake was an overly friendly guy who just wasn’t taking no for an answer. His grabbing several of the ladies did not prompt security to remove him. That was disappointing. He was confronted by several people in an aggressive manner and was an obvious trouble maker. Nice ambiance, better music might pull a bigger crowd.

This place just sucks!!! They move you from spot to spot depending how much you spend. Wait this happens although you already have spent a couple of hundred bucks. The bouncers think they are running a prison, lacking courtesy and respect for those that have spent a bunch of money in there. The only good thing hear is the DJ. Drinks are weak and the hookahs burn out quickly.

This place used to be a really great venue to dance, drink, and chill. Now it’s usually over crowded and fights have broken out on more than one occasion. They’ve recently implemented a cover charge for men. Totally not worth it

Very small!!! I’ve seen bigger dojo’s lol music loud okay DJ. They do have these $ 30-​$ 40 drink its okay its like a pitcher but in a bottle cool so if u not near the bar u get this u be OK for about an hour lol

Trying too hard. $ 10 for gents mandatory coat checks, it’s cool I guess. But letting so many people in just so that they can collect that entrance fee is ridiculous. They just started that pay to get in trend, been here on few occasions before and no charge. Potential for a nice lil spot but plz don’t let people in who look like they just left a rap video set

So let me start by saying is a nice chill spot to hang out. Good music. But who ever is the waitress on Monday nights I must say WOW I don’t think she ever been trained to do her job or she just sucks mean ass at it.
Me and my friends get there, only reason we went was for hookah. We tell the girl we want hookah, automatically she goes Ok when I come back I’m taking your drinks orders really hyper, we are all like Ok. She comes back my friend says «I want a water» (he was driving) she goes «A WATER???» I’m like YES A WATER. Then she starts laughing and repeats A WATER? I’m like u kidding me right. She jumps and say you know the bottles are $ 100, I’m like OK A WATER ALL AROUND. My other friend then tells her «Chill ma we don’t want a bottle we want something else» She’s starts nodding her head. WHO DOES THAT? (of course a ghetto b**** who obviously doesn’t make any money would) So we sitting there talking and realized that 30 mins pass and we still didn’t get our hookah. I’m like this little cunt obviously didn’t tell the hookah man we were waiting because we didn’t get a bottle. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! If you ask me if I would go there again? Maybe not. SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!!!
I gave this place 2 stars because the security guard who was very nice and polite once we mentioned that we had not gotten the hookah since we got there right away got us one at no charge.
I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 5 years now and everywhere I go I expect to get treated with respect because I do the same with my customers. It doesn’t matter if you’re ordering a bottle of water or a champagne bottle that cost over $ 300 you get the same respect with me all the time. A lot of people in this industry don’t understand the meaning of customer service. They either need more training or just belong in another field. Not everyone is built for this business. Managers need to make sure they know who they let run their business because a place might be good but if the service is horrible no one will go.

I like that they’re open on Sundays, because the type service I’ve encountered on a weekday is less than desirable. They severely lack proper customer service behind the counter and frankly, are down right rude at times. And although they do offer more products than most vapor shops in this area, their prices are much higher.

I like this place. Great music. Great drinks, variety of hookah flavor and friendly manager and staff.

I had an awesome time here on a Sunday night a few weeks ago. Who would have thought this place would get extremely packed on a Sunday around 6pm??? I rarely travel to the BX but a friend of mine recommended we go for some hookah & drinks. Make sure not to sit next to the bathroom because you can smell everything, yuck! It was a bit young for me in there but I had a good night. Prices are decent on drinks.

I was invited to this place for a distant friend’s birthday party. Growing up in queens and now living in westchester county, the whole idea of hanging out in the Bronx is a huge turn off for me. We dropped by right around midnight and to my surprise… The area didn’t seem that bad!
Easy to find parking, relatively quiet for a Main Street and no line outside. The bouncer lets us in after making sure we’re old enough and to our surprise we see a pretty packed place! Lots of people smoking at the bar and a minimal amount of seating. The DJ did a good job keeping the crowd entertained and posed a great mix of hip hop.
Service at the bar was good… maybe it’s because I was tipping generously? Who knows… But they kept my glass full all night. The hookahs had to be paid with cash… Drinks were fine with a CC… I thought that was a bit strange but we didn’t question it.

Decent crowd of 25 – 35 year olds, decent music, decent drinks. They use cheap coals for the hookah, which burn too quickly, and it took 20 mins to get them replaced.
Update: went here on 11÷22÷14, I ordered 5 drinks for me and my friends. A female bartender charged my card $ 65 before I got to see the itemized receipt. When I asked to see it, she acted surprised/​shocked/​guilty and said it was too late. Then the bartender who was actually serving me got me my real bill… which was only $ 44. He apologized for the error and offered to give me free shots to make up for the overcharge, but I declined. I’m not sure if the female bartender was stupid or if this is a regular scam they pull.
Be conscious of your bill.

There were a few mixed reviews about this place but I stopped by Saturday night around midnight and the place was pumping. The music was a great mix of old school hiphop, reggae, pop, and R&B. Shout out to the DJ for doing a great job.
The place is pretty popular for birthdays and bottle service. I’m not sure about the pricing but the tables were all booked.
Bartenders, Barbacks, Waitresses, and Security were all very polite and attentive. The hookah «maintenance» game was tight, always replacing coals when needed. I had the coconut hookah for $ 20 which was large enough for a group of four.
The cocktail was a little on the conservative side with regards to the strength of the drink which was Malibu and Coke. Not a problem for me, I’m a bit of a light weight.
I’ll definitely try this place out again. Keep up the good work.

Vapor Lounge is one of the only hookah lounges available in the Throgs Neck area, I’m pretty sure.
I’ve gone on various occasions and I always have a good time. The crowd here tends to be a little older no matter what hour of the day you happen to go in. However, the music and hookahs are always on point. There are several flavors offered on the menu and every single hookah is huge, which is perfect for a big group.
If you’re driving over here there is usually parking everywhere, especially across the street by TD bank (metered). Or if you’re coming from the city & using public transportation, the express bus service drops you off right in front of the establishment.
I would definitely recommend this place as a chill spot if you’re in the area with friends.

First let me begin by saying that I did not even enter the lounge, that’s how bad it was. I walked in front of it and wasn’t sure if it was the bouncers that stunk like cigars and alcohol, or the place. There were sketchy looking people and it looked dead. Given that I think it just opened up, I think they need to fix it. Need better promoters or something… I’ll check it out some other time

Upon arrival to this establishment I really did not like the place… the female bartender was very nice sweet and attentive she should be working in a higher more sophisticated place where I’m sure she would make more money. Now for this place’s setting the décor was unattractive and the hookah vapors cover up the smell of this place. I have been to very upscale hookah places and as I can get this place tries to have that upscale vibe ‘management should consider investing a bit more on making the place more inviting I read a review here where the guests were not allowed to sit at empty tables because of so called reservations on a rainy day and the place was empty itself not a good thing to read about. Unilocal is here for a reason and management should pay closer attention to this including the guy who served us the hookah he looked very sloppy and looked like he did not want to be there ’ He should have been in some sort is uniform to represent the place .
I will not revisit this place again sorry Vapor You need lots of work in order to get a higher paying crowd of people.

Always a good mature crowds, hookahs are great all flavors! Ask the Bartenders for a specialty shot they are so good!
