Staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. They do not hover over you. On the contrary, they try their best to make one’s dining experience more comfortable by being accommodating to customers’ request.
Food is delicious and fresh.

The burgers here are delicious and fairly priced. They have many options for toppings and styles of burgers to choose from. The portion sizes are fair and leave you feeling full, especially if you’re drinking beer.
The garlic fries are great. Not overwhelming.
They have a solid list of beers on tap and in bottles, many from local breweries.
They’re milkshakes are also very good, if you’re looking for a cold treat.
You don’t need reservations but on a Friday or Saturday night, there might be a short wait.
Service has always been good to me. The staff is fairly attentive and helpful. One waitress wasn’t sure how to answer a question I had about one of the beers and she politely excused herself to consult with the bartender for an answer. Very professional without feeling cold.
Also, don’t park in that parking lot next door! It is not for the restaurant, it is for the residential building next to it. The security there is usually nice enough to call BBH so they can let you know to move it but jus avoid it altogether. There is usually parking on the residential street around the corner (parallel to Broadway, away from the park).

Don’t make reservations. They don’t honor your reservations! 1^st come…1^st serve. Lack of planning on the restaurant’s part constitutes an emergency on the client.

I guess it’s not a fair review since I didn’t eat anything. came in with my girl and didn’t see a hostess for umm maybe 7 to 10min. Problem is that it wasn’t busy. I think my girl said she may have saw the hostess outside on the ph somewhere. Kinda felt like a bad episode of bar rescue. Anyway, won’t be back. Poor service

I’m ashamed that it took me this long to get here. Especially since I live in the neighborhood, and I’m little over a 3 minute drive away.
I went in with a a fellow foodie friend, and I must say that I was a bit overwhelmed.
The options were impressive, and the quality of the food was superb.
This nondescript establishment straddles the line between comfort food and «frou-​frou» and handles it with aplomb.
Come in if you are a fan of burgers.
If you’re indecisive, have some system to help you decide (Yahtzee dice, darts, Magic 8 Ball?)
Don’t worry, I think that it’s impossible to make a bad choice.

Excellent burgers! My favorite one is the Hawaiian Burger with sweet potatoes fries. Also the quesadillas are really good!

Burgers were good. Not a «must return» or worthy of a «long trip back.» Something you can get at any other decent burger spot.

The aptly named Burger House, is obviously known for their burgers plus the usual bar fare. I kept things simple and ordered the Spencer $ 11.95, which includes bacon, american cheese, lettuce and tomato. The burger was made to temp and served on a seedless brioche looking bun; don’t think it was brioche though. The burger itself was juicy and very satisfying. The accompanied french fries were natural cut, my preference are usually steak fries, but these worked well with the burger.
On this particular midweek winter afternoon, I sat at the bar, as the restaurant was empty and allowed me the opportunity to have great conversations with the bartender Tex and the supporting friendly staff, Maddie and Marie. Flat screens line the walls of the bar to catch the day’s news and sporting events.
The dining area is a fair size with no separation between the bar and dining room. I can only imagine if seated at a table close to the bar it could present a feeling that people are standing or sitting right on top of you.
This nicely decorated sports bar, restaurant located in the quaint neighborhood of Riverdale offers metered street parking directly out front, though residential parking can easily be found on the side streets.
If in the vicinity I would definitely go back.

Burgers here suck. The meat has no flavor and they don’t cook them the way you ask for them. Great beer selection tho.

Don’t let it fool you the place is big! My boyfriend and I walked in and was welcomed very nicely. The bartender who was very easy on the eyes informed us to sit anywhere we liked. We sat in the front room facing the park. The view was beautiful and let in a lot of light. The waitress was very friendly and easy going. No rush and let us take our time. She was very informed about the beers which was great! My boyfriend ordered a cocktail that wasn’t as good. It was a lemon drop that didn’t have any sweetener to help the drink. Taste like str8 up vodka. We didn’t want to be difficult and also understand this is more of a beer place. Other then that the food was AMAZING, and service friendly. We’ll be back and just stick to beers. We’ll sit at the bar next time!

I have ordered everything from the burgers to salad to omelettes at this neighborhood staple. The brunch is a great deal — $ 25.95 for unlimited drinks and something off their brunch menu. The omelettes are always fluffy and delicious. The burgers are good, but there are so many different choices sometimes I get a little overwhelmed and distracted.
So why 3 stars? I don’t know if it is the acoustics in BBH, but it is always so loud, even if there are only 2 – 3 other parties in the restaurant. Also, the service leaves something to be desired — sometimes when I walk in to be seated, there is no one to be found for 5 minutes.
I’ll keep going for brunch, but the Bronx Ale House down the street has better beer, burgers and service. So that will always remain my number 1.

I have gone there numerous times. I like there Spencer Burger, cozy place nice selection of beer. Nice menu if your are not a burger person. Staff is friendly.

It is now me and my husband official favorite spot. Friendly atmosphere amazing food and service. You always feel like home there. Keep up a good work guys!!!

Lunch during a weekday, and had the cowboy burger, and the fries are never greasy. The food us cooked to specifications, tasty and delisious! Cold adult beverage, friendly service and always a TV on for local news or sports.

Colleen is the best waitress and she handle some rude customers with outstanding customer service. Kudos to her.

Me and a friend were extremely and decided we needed lunch, I utilized an app on my phone and it brought us this place so we decided to try it out, one of the best ideas I had yet. The atmosphere is really nice so we were impressed upon arrival, however the service wasn’t as good as I hoped. It took us entirely to long for us to receive service. I would have like to been greeted upon arrival and told that I can seat anywhere I’d like, however I had to seek out someone in order to find that out. Once seated a little acknowledgment would have been nice, I once again had to seek out someone in order to get our order taken. Ridiculous!!!
On a higher note the food was amazing!!! If their customer service can be as good as their burgers I’m sure this would be a five star establishment. I would definitely return for the food and drinks, because I love good food, but if this was based on service alone I wouldn’t be a repeat customer.
In sum, awesome food, great drinks, subpar service.

This great burger Join in the BX is not a disappointment its just normal.
The food is great and prices are very reasonable. We had the pony burger and the lamb burger. These are huge and contain lots of meat. Its actually under $ 10 for a burger and fries. You cant get that at a sit down place only at a fast food joint.
These burger are good, i mean really good but why only 4 stars, well it should be 3.5
1.- Unlimited drinks for Brunch, say the bartender pouring champagne to make the mimosas and her finger was in the bottle tip the entire time. EWK give me a beer instead. Decided to order the Sangria and it was super bad, water-​down juice with fruits inside.
2.- Its a cold day 5 outside and the parking lot next to their building its not theirs. I was told it always happens, so why don’t you put a sign that says its not yours to your patrons.
I will come back again for brunch, but im sticking to beer and soda.
On their defense, it was super busy but i dont think that a finger should be part of a drink.

Unfortunately in Hawaii, there is no such thing as «all you can drink» Sunday brunches. Does that exist? Yes it does in New York City! So trying this out we went to the Bronx Burger House. You can order one entrée, and have unlimited drinks. What was the drink of choice? Lovely mimosas! I ordered the chuck burger as my entrée, and it was delicious. Hamburger, egg, bacon, what a great sandwich.
The waitresses were very attentive to us, refilling our drinks promptly. For the Sunday brunch we had great service, and arriving at 11:30am we beat the horde of people that came later. I wish we had a Bronx Burger in Hawaii! The food was delicious, and you can’t beat unlimited amount of mimosas on a sunday!
